Hello there, When I preview this pages in IE7 as well as ‘flickers’ when POST click my links. (everything is usually fine in FF, of course) My main navigation bar consists of anchors with backdrop images applied by CSS. The masthead, body bg along with footer all take advantage of background images used through CSS also. It also feels to happen whenever a regular < img> tag is needed as well. This definition of, " the images around the page, mostly system – i. age. body bg, masthead, footer bg and many others, blink out and visit or I will even see a fast horizontal white bar flash along the width of the particular screen (the horizontal bar is never inside same place in addition to varies in size). " Concerning searched for hours and get not found a solution that works 100%, possibly there isn’t just one. The best solution Concerning found so significantly is: Code: < meta http-equiv=" Page-Enter" content=" revealtrans(duration=0. 0)" /> < meta http-equiv=" Page-Exit" content=" revealtrans(duration=0. 0)" /> this will reduce most of a ‘flicker’. How to create transparent background for images?

I would like to use layers just to save an irregularly-shaped image that has a TRANSPARENT background together with another image. After i try to conserve this image for a jpg or gif, the particular transparent background transforms white. I have observed that some surfers don’t handle png information well (I feel using Macromedia to get iamges) and png also consumes masses of quality. Will be best way involving saving images to ensure the transparent background will stay GIF encourages 1-bit transparency. What program have you been using to set up the images–Fireworks Use GIF and make sure you choose the transparency solution. An other thing will be the matte color -> choose the one that will coordinate with image that’s underneath. Web Explorer 6 really doesn’t support PNG, and a number of people are still with it. Yes I am just using Fireworks. After i save an image using a transparent background as either a gif or jpg, the particular background appears whitened. Macromedia Fireworks will not seem to permit me to choose a transparency solution when saving some sort of gif – and also anything else for instance. It shows correctly in Firefox as well as Chrome, but in IE there’s an area between a lot of the background images end of it. Does anyone realize how to close the gap Thanks beforehand. (I will, not surprisingly, add a border=" none" tag if the page is all set — to disguise the links. ) I evaluations have a whole of 13 links, if that matters. With thanks, Joe <! Hello there all. We’ve only been building websites for about two weeks right now, am teaching by myself and am improving slowly, but obviously with only two months experience iIm very terrible atm. What I found hardest and I couldn’t often fin any info anywhere which was detailed enough was your whole process. What I’m keen on, (because if other new members come here intended for help like I did, this may end up being of use) is what you decide to do first, next, there after and last and so on. Start to surface. The first website I made, and I have to stress, this is obviously the incorrect way to exercise, but for an idea: MY PARTNER AND I designed my site in photoshop, did every very last element there besides the text. Next I divided it up in photoshop and exported it to some html file ready for easy use in dreamweaver. In dreamweaver I made every one of the images background images while in the ready made desk then added all of my text articles and made the particular rollover images to the menu bar, repeating this method for each page of my site. Next I … Continue reading

background content does not refresh from page to page?

Greetings. On this web site http: //www. tanglebox. net/Default. htm If you click the remaining buttons, the top in addition to left areas don’t refresh. The only issue that refreshes will be the body of the page. I wish to display a background image on my personal website that works like that. I have TWO questions: ONE. Is there your technical term with regard to websites that perform this ONLY TWO. Is there an illustration code (in CSS) of which does this with regard to background images Bless you. They are employing " frames"… Really old technology… Serps all but refuse anyone with index these web pages… They are impossible delivering to bookmark ( save well liked ) of a specific page… If you want to have a various background image… A site employing CSS for design and styling offers you pretty much a similar effect you are considering… Properly done CSS sites where the head and structure graphics may not be to heavy, will stay on the screen since you navigate the web page, but the content and the different background photos will change since you move through coursesmart… Best practice would be to have all your own pages … Continue reading
