List menu and scrolling text

I’m inserting a List/Menu but I’d prefer the links to start in a independent window. How should i do that Dreamweaver doesn’t appear to provide me that chance. To see enjoy, see the hyperlinks under the ‘Weather’ section about the right column. http: //www. relocationenterprises. com/Web2005/links/links. htm Loving: Is there now solution to make a Marquee vertical scrolling text likewise readible for Netscape as well as Safari In Explorer that works fine, but in Netscape along with Safari it leaves a big space under the website, the space being comparable to the scrolling text message space. Browse at http: //www. relocationenterprises. com/Web2005/index. htm Because of anyone who may help me with (any of) these kinds of questions. Stu’ For the link to open inside a new window your code must appear to be this: < some sort of href=" http: //whatever. wherever" target=" _blank" > Need ideas of about the scrolling text though, sorry. Bless you, but the problem is Dreamweaver wont well then , i’ll insert any target=" _blank" rule. This is the code: < decide on name=" menu1" onChange=" MM_jumpMenu(‘parent’, this, 0)" > < option value=" http: //www. bbc. co. uk/weather/5day. shtmlworld=0065" > Paris (Italy) < /option> Ive … Continue reading

Doing something different with photos

I’m looking to dabble with the actual few photo galleries We’ve on my site at the moment. As you could see from this example they’re not particularly inspired currently. I love what the Washington Post does with its range of galleries plus what the BBC does with photos at the same time, but would choose to do something rather different. I’m certainly thinking of some type of separate viewing window, then storing the actual details of galleries and photos in a MySql database so We can add to galleries easily and easily (especially helpful for your writers’ galleries). Are there any other web sites where people own really liked the photo layout, or something you have done yourself which will you’ve had fantastic feedback on.

Is this website possible?

Anything can be performed right But here goes… We have a brilliant idea for a website. For it to be effective though i would wish an article submission system that is going to allow users with very little web experience distribute articles. Fundamentally, there would be a how to page. Then users could create a piece of writing, and add pics… they would then look for a layout for the actual article, this would basically be the way in which the text is spelled out and where the particular images would go. People would then submit a piece of writing which would visit a processing queue. It would subsequently be editted plus commented on simply by pre approved people. After it have been error checked as well as the content approved by way of 2 approved people it could be automatically submitted towards the site and joined up. Obviously a database is necessary. But yeah, does anyone learn how i would create a real system Or in case systems already exist that will do this. In the event you look at bbc news they need to have something this way in operation. So yeah, ideas on how i could do … Continue reading

Thanks, Edd. What don’t you mean when you say the type and model is too big The quality or the actual size it requires up on the particular page If your web page includes the extension. php (instead associated with. html), you can use a PHP script to utilize their RSS supply, thus doing whatever you want with the info. An RSS feed is probably a XML file that may be read-in and a pre-existing PHP script can display the give. Without getting into a huge amount of detail here, you’ll be able to view … Continue reading

Novice Question: How to create page with dynamic elements, ie: menu’s & pagelets..

Heya guys, I just now found your forum and I do think it’s great! I’ve learned a whole lot already. I have recently been a webmaster for numerous years, very novice although – and will have been using just HTML plus much more recently CSS. I’ve had some encounter with frames/iframes, tables all that will stuff and am prepared to learn more… I maintain one or two websites currently (all amateurish) and I have been asked to create another one… with this new one I’d like to take an alternative approach. One of the pet peeves with each one of my current websites is when we have a menu change or perhaps something similar (ie: add a different image to the header, new link inside footer, navigation pub, etc… ) I must manually update each and every page… Most websites I see now take over dynamic elements (I think these are similar to pagelets) – (for example, http: //news. bbc. corp. uk/) I’m sure they don’t specify their links in every page and also the little box that says most in-demand stories…, but somehow call up these links on the page.. this is what I would like to learn how … Continue reading
