Please help with forms not being compatible with hotlink protection
Hello there there. Concerning a little internet site – www. worldofmonkey. com, which is a sneak fun project We’ve had for about annually. But I apparently have come across an issue in that WE now cannot do without the need for m Cpanel hotlink protection as my bandwidth is sucked up within two days due to most people hotlinking my pictures through forums, eBay auctions along with blinkin’ ‘myspace’ people! But ever since I ave squeeze hotlink protection in my forms will working, whether WHEN I set them way up as email sorts, or as they will always be in the over – directed to a file on the web space. I are working conversation with this guy that servers my site, and he doesn’t apparently know what is going on, claiming that I’d a file not often known, (though he wouldn’t hazard a reckon to which one) although I canot see how this could be as the styles DO WORK minus the hotlink protection, while I said. He seems to finish the last email with all the following: The server experts have searched into it and almost everything is ok, it usually is an issue having a compatibility between … Continue reading

Site in progress…
This url is not reside yet but here i will discuss a screen shot. Just about any pointers/comments… These can be my suggestions: – Use something rather than:: for you navigation list style. Produce nice custom impression or something. ASCII stuff just looks novice. Same goes for that separators on the end navigation. — Ditch the validation buttons. If you believe on linking generally there, use text links. Simply put, noone cares. If a client is coming to consider automotive stuff they’re not interested in online standards, nor do they probably really know what it’s all about to start with. – Put some padding into the Recent News package. Rather than that I consider it looks very decent. Cheers for your response, I understand the:: ASCII looks somewhat ghey… they were form of just placeholders untill I could truthfully get something else trend right. I became also thinking regarding ditching the major validation buttons in the process but I do still prefer to make it known i always create valid pages so I do think I’ll inclue either text only or even those slimline kinds. Hadn’t though of padding the modern news bit but now i’m sure about it that … Continue reading

WYSIWYG Input Editor
How ought to be a go about creating a WYSIWYG web-based manager for input, ie. for news creation in a very CMS. We’ve used google a lttle bit to find an answer, but when rendering comes around, Personally i think like I’ve missed something. There’s no doubt that the general idea would be to have a iframe rather than a textarea. That you just then via JavaScript first turn on designMode on this document(iframe) Code: document. getElementById(editor). contentDocument. designMode = " on"; After this somewhat unsure. I have following, just a text hyperlink in making the text bold Code: < some sort of href=" javascript:; " onclick=" formatButton(‘teaser’, ‘Bold’); " unselectable=" on" > Bold< /a> But it lets you do nothing. Also, I can’t give any data towards the iframe. So when editing a preexisting news article the item just shows nothing at all. Tried using JS to write (. innerHTML) towards the iframe, but very little luck. Any help is great guys I’m assuming you no longer want to employ, for example, FCKEditor Probably not. I’d really like to understand how to do it by myself, for future benchmark. Also, I’ll be using it in some sort of commercial … Continue reading

Colour scheme for new site
I’m back building a new site, and get the layout planned and created. Nevertheless, my main problem (and the thing I’m not way too good with) will be the colour scheme. You can view how far I have got here, without the need of content or anything: http: //chrisbrewster. co. uk/mm MY PARTNER AND I particularly want the actual purple in generally there, but I’m unsure the gradients job, or if your dark background causes it to become look tacky. I’m trying your fixed width and also centred layout this occassion round. You could possibly notice the left border being a bit thicker inside Firefox too. For whatever reason, the vertical line around the background image didn’t appear in IE7 (must be obscured through the other divs), nevertheless worked fine along with FF. So I put in a left border for peace of mind. Almost any ideas peeps Thanks. hey guy, same with my family. not very beneficial choosin colors but i nfind that site help guides me within the right direction. likewise got this JUST ONE from karrine (cheers btw) desire it helps Thanks, I’ll look in those. I’ve scrapped that will design though, it looked a lttle bit … Continue reading

Without doubt Guys, This is certainly my very 1st post and I need to say im glad to get here. Im a university student at otago University in new Zealand as well as ive recently taken a paper in web site design which has happen to be brilliant, ive gained a lot of practical skills from the course. My question is simply thus: What does the professional freelance web designer charge to build a site Ive been asked to make a site pertaining to my Mothers tiny toy retail buisness as well as im wondering what amount i should fee, if at most. Cheers to the time guys, Harpoon. It varies to your ridiculous extent; it would be anywhere from $20 a while to $2, 000 a while. It depends on the you’re delivering, plenty of time constraints, your knowledge, and the billions of changes the client wants but isn’t going to realize are stupid to use to web design and style. The notorious million dollar issue, it is nearly purley subjective throughout nature.. determin what believe consder fair compensation to the work. Dont worry about what others charge so it will only befuddle you. Besides, you’ll amost defenatly correct … Continue reading
tips for freelance work
Hi ppl, thought i’d personally see what your tricks for freelance web design work are I have only done a couple of web sites then when i took ONE PARTICULAR project on (for zero cost may i increase, just to obtain experience) i didn’t realise how much work which i could take on. we liked to replace the code themselves and really we were fixing errors non-stop!!!!: lifeless: lesson learned : don’t let we update the internet site! almost every other tips. can/should when i define any sorta pre-contract (if thus… how) what a few pointer ask for inside the brief any advise can be benefcial thanks beforehand Its impossible to generate a website not having one. The contract would need to cover the scope from the project. The client need to be allowed to consult to change the scope but while doing so you should have the right to reject these changes or increase the price of the project to cater for any change. You must also say how the client will pay and what will happen if they do not pay. With not a contract people are just visiting take you for the ride. We should be specify … Continue reading

Merely cant change the actual Feed size may i control it together with CSS I need it in the form of little smaller seeing that its dominating his site layout. Any help could be Bo-tastic! Thanks, Edd. What don’t you mean when you say the type and model is too big The quality or the actual size it requires up on the particular page If your web page includes the extension. php (instead associated with. html), you can use a PHP script to utilize their RSS supply, thus doing whatever you want with the info. An RSS feed is probably a XML file that may be read-in and a pre-existing PHP script can display the give. Without getting into a huge amount of detail here, you’ll be able to view … Continue reading
