Creating a website, is this too much for me?

Ok so I’m a system administrative by trade but I’ve done classes on HTML/CSS and a few easier work for $$.. I am also knowledgeable about SQL, Java, Javascript but fairly basic.. The primary functionality of that website is 1) your user base and 2) reviews.. (something like rottentomatoes) Are usually most efficient way to start this If I code everthing bymyself by hand i’m probably within over my brain.. is something being a good solution for any prebuilt backend Not worried regarding the design (html/css), just the backend scares me a bit. Any kind of advice/thoughts I would say Drupal is a superb choice. You must hire a freelance programmer who’s skilled at Drupal. Accomplish the graphics in addition to design yourself, leave the backend on the programmer. If what you’re doing is like rottentomatoes, you have a very huge project on your hands. Is Originality worth it?

Nowadays websites are all starting to look the same, having CMS and men and women designing for " usability" being more prevalent seems like that making aesthetically interesting websites usually are not welcome on the web. What happened to opportunity seekers pushing the envelope by using design good design seems to be limited to just how a browser views it. Around hard times, how many clients want to afford flashy, push the envelope web pages when it’s business needed focus on. I’m finding which my clients really want their sites for making the " cellular phone ring". Like most designers I adore designing so the trick would be to reflect the business personality in the site, push the envelope if you can ,, concentrate on SEO and attempt to satisfy the need for personal creativity. Properties all have panels, windows, roofs, and walls… stairs and a ramp if you should step up regarding usability, etc. or anything else…. yet architects often be creative enough to produce buildings unique. Hello there! All. I’m building a web site for a school and i need to implement the presentation display like this on Stanford Collage (events module) which boasts an event calendar that has a link below. I am just using joomla CMS. My focus is around the style of affair display they’ve attached to their homepage. Any idea regarding any extension with a module that can give me that result. I don’t mind if i need to do the decorating in css personally. Regards.

site translation using php databases and cookies?

I’m setting up a website for a restaurant in spanish in addition to english and ‘m having it translated skilled professionals. I just don’t realize how to set up the website so when clicking using a spanish or english icon it can revert to the spanish or the particular english version. i posted an analogous question, but… topic switcher, basic launch, new page founder, built in seek out, xml output, logger, postal mail script for speak to. what else could you put in a new cms. Will depend on what industry the CMS is designed for. Product search might be an option. Anti-spam mechanism for the contact form. Sales/order tracker it’s possible.
