If therefore, how With thanks Yep, you need to use the CSS: Code: #divWithBackground background-image: url(‘images/background. png’); background-attachment: unchanging; That must do it Also, let me know should you not know CSS, in which case further explanation is order. With thanks! I know extremely basically what CSS is although not enough to know what exactly you are dealing with. Could you sophisticated… It would end up being really appreciated. With thanks again. Just what exactly his code may is take the particular image at " images/background. png" and puts it because background image around the element named " divWithBackground". The background-attachment aspect makes the image static in order that it won’t move while you scroll the internet page. one table row doesn’t show up in IE or Opera

I’m designing a site, and everything seems to figureout fine with te exception of a very important factor – I’ve bought a table of which works in Firefox, Netscape, plus Mozilla, but one line disappears in IE and Opera – the actual row with JPGs in the container. Everything else stays identical. I’ve posted the code for this below if any one has any ideas. Some of seems somewhat clumsy and hacked in my opinion, but I just simply did what I really could to get it to seem the way I need to. This is my first attempt at a website, consequently please pardon any kind of inelegant coding, and so forth, and feel free of charge to suggest far better alternatives. Additionally, one other issue. The W3C validator states I can’t use leftmargin, topmargin, etc as found below – is really a challenge, or can WE ignore it < shape bgcolor=" #bcbc85" leftmargin=" 0" topmargin=" 0" marginwidth=" 0" marginheight=" 0" > bless you, Andrew Code: < table border=" 0" cellpadding=" 0" cellspacing=" 0" width=" 100%" > < tr> < td colspan=" 7" > < img src=" beige-bar-2×2. gif" width=" 100%" height=" 15" border=" 0" > < /td> < … Continue reading

transparency

Howdy! We have just joined this kind of community, and i have to say that i’ve already learn a large amount. On the list of thing i learned was when using the slice tool for making websites. So inpired, i created a background impression to slice afterwards. but I possess a question: so, so picture the following: We have a header, with the navigation bar ( each " button" shall be sliced), but then i’ll possess a content area. I have to say for reference that it’s just a band web web site, so you realize the drill: news flash, audio, pics, for example. so, so what i would like is all that’s within the content area features a transparent background to ensure we can notice the image behind(being this image a part(slice) of the website image. I hope you understood this weak english, and thart you can help me about this. If an individual make the image your " background image", anything everyone place on your site will go over the top. Text will look as if float over that background image. In the event you place any images, it will include the background until you have any " … Continue reading

WYSIWYG Input Editor

How ought to be a go about creating a WYSIWYG web-based manager for input, ie. for news creation in a very CMS. We’ve used google a lttle bit to find an answer, but when rendering comes around, Personally i think like I’ve missed something. There’s no doubt that the general idea would be to have a iframe rather than a textarea. That you just then via JavaScript first turn on designMode on this document(iframe) Code: document. getElementById(editor). contentDocument. designMode = " on"; After this somewhat unsure. I have following, just a text hyperlink in making the text bold Code: < some sort of href=" javascript:; " onclick=" formatButton(‘teaser’, ‘Bold’); " unselectable=" on" > Bold< /a> But it lets you do nothing. Also, I can’t give any data towards the iframe. So when editing a preexisting news article the item just shows nothing at all. Tried using JS to write (. innerHTML) towards the iframe, but very little luck. Any help is great guys I’m assuming you no longer want to employ, for example, FCKEditor Probably not. I’d really like to understand how to do it by myself, for future benchmark. Also, I’ll be using it in some sort of commercial … Continue reading

PODCASTS

Hi everyone, I am trying to learn how to include podcasts on the website.. Has anyone the following integrated podcasts on a website Will be most standard/best knack of doing this Gives thanks, Jeremy Rss feed hey thanks wired..; -) ok so will certainly an RSS assist anything then a great ipod, pda.. ect An RSS Feeder is just a script (like any PHP script) that reads an index of items from your file (like MUSIC songs) and generates its own XML file that is certainly then study by an RSS Reader. The RSS Viewer displays the tracks and direct links into the MP3 files. Hence, any device that could download and enjoy MP3 files incorporate the use of the RSS Readership. Certainly not MP3, but almost any files, articles, shots, etc. Hence, you’ll have a directory full of recordings (MP3’s). In that case, you have a database which contains, the titles, duration, date recorded, and URL into the real MP3 file. You’ll then have got a PHP script of which reads the databases and creates the particular XML end product for an RSS Reader. The Readers are universal, considering that the XML protocol can be a standard for most … Continue reading
