Basic "How to" for ul nav

I know this should be inside tutorial section but there are a number cobwebs in that portion of the forum! I just were going to post a uncovered bones navigation together with hover effect for those who don’t know how. I see plenty of navbars that have excessively much code for what they are doing. So this can be pretty srtipped down and can be enhanced, but it really doesn’t need a lot else. Notice how little markup is necessary to render this specific, not very a lot css either. Just copy and paste this whole code in the blank doc. Watch Example Code: <! DOCTYPE html page PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML ONE PARTICULAR. 0 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd" > < html page xmlns=" http: //www. w3. org/1999/xhtml" > < head> < meta http-equiv=" Content-Type" content=" text/html; charset=utf-8" /> < title> Untitled Document< /title> < design type=" text/css" > #navbar background-color: #663399; /* #navbar div is often a wrapper for this ul list*/ height: 30px; #navbar ul border: 0; /* Changing that margin here will require changing the #navbar height to build with the ul*/ #navbar li drift: left; /* This will likely put the li’s in … Continue reading

Who’s at Fault? Designer vs Client dispute, interested in your opinions

Hello there, A recent dispute came up of which made me wonder who is really in a bad here and MY SPOUSE AND I thought who better to ask for feedback/opinions/poll than your community of colleagues here. Recently I’d some trouble obtaining the Featured Content Gallery to operate on my internet site. I hired any designer, who should remain anonymous, that said he might troubleshoot it throughout 30 mins. Superb. It worked. Then again, it seems the missing closing DIV tag made the positioning look messed way up in Internet Explorer (the diminishing text problem this others have had) as well as from about 6am Friday morning to virtually 6am Saturday morning, the site had been unviewable by IE people. This was particularly tragic as this is the one day with the year that WHEN I go all out and purchase over a multitude of dollars of newspapers advertising and 80% with my visitors had been on IE. I can let you know that I’ve lost a lot of traffic and capital on Friday which usually won’t repeat right up until next Valentines day time. Yes, total deprivation, more than total loss actually. I was working on wanting to make … Continue reading

Webpage Width issue

I am in the deal of designing a fresh theme for my wordpress powered site. I decided that it would make my entire life easier if POST simply created a great HTML page 1st so I already had almost all styling issues exercised and could in that case use that to be a template for my personal new theme. The condition that I’m having is always that when I run the the site it adds a small amount to thicker (only about YOUR FIVE pixels or so). I’m less than sure why it’s working. I only want to buy to cover 100% in the page, not 100% plus several pixels. The program code is as uses: HTML: < html> < head> < design type=" text/css" > * border: 0; padding: 0; body background-color: #FFF; colour: #000000; #container2 size: 100%; margin: 0 auto; #header width: 100%; border: 0 auto; background: #FFF url(top. png) repeat-x; #lotp margin-left: TWELVE; #catch width: 520px; place: relative; top: -130px; still left: 200px; #catch any color: #FFF; #rss place: relative; top: -170px; drift: right; margin-right: -12; #navbar place: relative; top: -37px; margin-left: TWELVE; #navbar a text-decoration: it’s unlikely that any; padding-top: 2; #navbar any: hover border-top: 2px … Continue reading
