Displaying Google News on your Website

Let’s pretend I am creating a fan website related to Robert De Niro. I want to dynamically display any headline around the Young Don that appears on the internet. The best way that pops out to my advice is to utilize Google News. On a daily basis new headlines matching the key word " De Niro" will be posted to Yahoo News. There is a service to send out an email whenever new headlines are usually posted. One possibility could be to have a script on auto-pilot read these emails, extract the head lines, links, and synopsis belonging to the article, and screen them dynamically at my page. I could truthfully have this script run every day, or maybe perhaps everytime a Yahoo News alert is sent to my inbox. (The postings, by the technique, are in a typical format: Headline, Origin, Short Synopsis, Website link. So it wouldn’t be too rigorous to extract the info there. ) It seems like there should be a less strenuous way though! I’ve seen many sites that have headlines about a particular person, or an individual subject, so maybe they know other ways that I really don’t. I also can see pages that … Continue reading

best way to archive last years pages in my site

That is almost 1 year for me having my internet site. I have some things I’d prefer to save from 2006. Calender. Conjunction posters. Baseball totals and games. Theres some events that happen yearly i want to save the years before information. Anyhow… what is the most effective way to archive the particular info. I don’t need each of the graphics and such junk while in the archive. Only the data. I don’t need to make aall that archives available via every page while in the site, just through the page it is around. Like the new calender could have an archive link to venture to the simple version of the last years calender. Or just a little link on the bottom of say this baseball page with regard to baseball pages through years past. With regards to I explained myself OK. I have no idea of all the conditions. I just would like to make it suitable and easy. For both myself along with the page visitor. If it’s just a run-down version of an page, as in all it can be bare minimal text message then saving it as being a text document and linking to it will … Continue reading

Creating a dynamic image?

What I’d like to do is definitely w/ some snazzy value (php / javascript / CSS / mysql), is always to create a background for the forum avatar. Now because avatars will come in different sizing’s, the background should expand to the larger ones. I know sometimes it is done w/ a few CSS, but Now i’m no expert From the example below (click the actual pic, it’ll mature, easier to see), consider the blue square for the red background (the left half) as a static image, while using right half as being a full red background, with the avatar above it (CSS magic! ). At this point, in the very first one, the avatar is from the standard parameters (say 1×1 to 50×50 pixels within size), so some computer code w/ a 54×54 pixel red-colored square image would work with some CSS placing to center your avatar’s upper eventually left corner to A FEW, 3 on that background image would work properly. Note that it is assuming with any 50×50 avatar, it’ll give you a 2 pixel border about the avatar, hence the particular 3, 3 placement ANYWAY, here we reach the real problem. In the next image, you’ll … Continue reading

embedded audio player

Howdy, I am racking your brains on how to set up a web page which has a built in audio player so the user simply sees a have fun with button which immediately begins to experiment with an assigned acustic file without whatever being downloaded and with virtually no application on the actual users computer working. I’m in search of a free method that just does the position and looks wise, preferably just an effective triangle play icon and nothing a lot more. Any suggestions appreciated. Respect, Kenny so far as i know, the user might need to have something set up like flash, quicktime for example. please, anyone correct me only am wrong on this subject. You can use the embed tag that can put the music while in the background of your blog and such as HTML: < add src=" yourmusicfile. wav" width=" 0" height=" 0" > < /embed> this will put a plugin against your page but since width and length are 0 there will be nothing. if you want the scrub bar showing up you need to adjust the elevation and width from the tag this way that shows that bar pretty well if it’s a. … Continue reading

image linked with a sound works, but mouse doesn’t display the active link like a hand

We have embedded sound into an image on my page. The image is often a radio icon which i want people to click to hear the sound. It works, I have tried it and it also plays the good without opening a brand new window so I’m keen that. But when i take my rabbit over it, my mouse stays a similar and usually if an image has a link, it turns towards pointer hand as opposed to the usual arrow mouse. So the link cannot show that the an active url and i dont want users to get to guess whenever they can click it. How do MY SPOUSE AND I reenable the mouse to be a hand again and here is my code: Code: < div class=" bfouraud" > < add src=" http: //www. peacelifeministries. org/Sermons/Audio/June09/True Really like Addiction Jun 29 09. mp3" autostart=false width=0 height=0 name=" sound1" enablejavascript=" true" onmouseout=" MM_swapImgRestore()" onmouseover=" MM_swapImage(‘addiction’, ”, ‘slices/sermons/May & rev; June 09/sermons/audioslices/addiction_f2. jpg’, 1); " > < img name=" addiction" src=" slices/sermons/May & rev; June 09/sermons/audioslices/addiction. jpg" onClick=" EvalSound(‘sound1′)" width=" 33" height=" 25" border=" 0" id=" addiction" alt=" " /> < /div> Depending on the rules, please don’t double post. … Continue reading

Images wrapping in unordered list inline menu

I’m developing a menu using the unordered list considering the items presented inline. The menu features six text links and two images : Twitter and LinkedIn icons. Each text connection and image can be an individual list object. Before adding backlinks to each listing item, the menu appears began seeing I would be expecting – inline. However, when I add links into the icons, the icons wrap to new traces (the text backlinks remain together for the " top" line). I have searched for a reply to this problem, but can’t uncover anything. Support is greatly valued! Gives thanks. If you’ve got a link so we could see, that would be most valuable… Here’s a test page the location where the format is what I would prefer: Social Media Inbound links Test And here’s certainly one of my site pages considering the code used above embedded in to a template: Leah Gillespie Thanks beforehand for your assist! #SMLinks ul li a This particular line needs your float: right. In that case some padding: 0 5px appearance about right. By the way, floats should have a width applied so you do not have any bugs pop up banner in different browsers. … Continue reading

How Should I Go About Completing My Project?

Howdy everyone, We have a fairly little eCommerce business. I am wanting to sell a service that would be easy to automate. I am willing to engage a freelance, but in all honesty, I have zero clue where to even start taking how to describe what I need the freelance to undertake without explaining the whole project. The point of this post is to obtain feedback from people that know what these are talking about on what to tell the particular freelance what We are looking to help make. I would treasure any help on steps to make this possible. My Project: We have a program in which encrypts a file. People will possibly be paying me to encrypt their file because encryption adds value to the file. The coding for any encryption is currently done, I just need to make it automated and for a website. I am going to be using Plimus to simply accept payments. You can purchase details out related to Plimus at Plimus. com. Plimus can distribute something code for each payment. I was thinking this might be an easier way to begin this. I would like to have a course embedded into my personal … Continue reading

How Many Designs Do You Offer?

How many designs does one offer to customers At this time I offer clients 3 designs to select from but am finding this is not cost-effective as POST spend a LOOOOT of time on the design phase. Am wondering only can cut this because of 2 designs (average customer) and also 1 design (budget customer) and also still have joyful customers How much does everyone else do I do plenty of work solely by simply e-mail contact, for clients that are far from myself. I send them an exceptionally detailed questionnaire containing questions about the preferred colours, logos, other images, aim for market, what pages they demand (not everyone prefers a contact page, for example), just what the budget can be, what the timeframe is, etc. I ask them to deliver links to as a minimum 3 sites they will like and 3 sites hi-def like, and make clear why. There is space for a wish list (do they need a photo gallery that may be updated, do they demand embedded video, that almost thing). Once gathering all this particular info, I make a plan of the structure from the site, and a page design (on paper) of the preliminary … Continue reading
