I do not understand how to attract it to work in another browser because merely design it in Firefox by way of example then it does not display properly inside IE. A little help with jscript slide show

Succeeds perfectly in firefox but looks like hell in IE.. I thought I got an okay developer until I found cross browser optimizing. Anyway please look at my portfolio page/code with IE and explain to me what I am doing wrong. Website looks/acts different after being uploaded

I’m endeavoring to replace a flash image which includes a gif when adobe flash isn’t supported (eg on iPad) I’ve found several code (see below) and inserted the pertinent images and inserted the code leading to a closing body label. I’ve tried fit this code from the head but this particular box then appears with the top. This doesn’t look a problem around Firefox but it definitely is in Safari. We’ve not tested within IE or Chrome as I can’t obtain these on my personal mac.
