Lines in Dreamweaver
On the web draw a collection in Dreamweaver without using images from Photoshop or editors that way I cannot find any solution to draw a line that may separate different portions of a webpage… With thanks! It’s the HTML tag called a horizontal guideline… But its often not really a preferred method with dividing a internet page, in modern website development. Usually we put text on the same group into one DIV, and give it a border if required. Yes, WE found the horizontal rule tag, but it doesn’t appear to work continuously. Is it likely to divide that page into 4 parts, like an advantage sign, using hr And what’s a DIV As being a plus sign Convinced. Depends on the best way your design would like to flow, though (entirely preset or liquid as well as whatever). And please do discover HTML and CSS, and you’ll realize how to do that, and that of a DIV is. Reading books and many schools will coach you to use furniture instead. do that, before you’re pulled on the deep hellish rich waters of table-based design. Yes, Need to learn HTML and CSS Upon my sites, this plus sign continually ends … Continue reading

hello there, Remember to critique my possible next update to help my site — Aesthetic Design Website Development – please bare with me in terms of the loading page, it’s just there since the page relies so heavily on images and i still ought to style it. Code-wise the website is valid xhtml in addition to valid css and in terms of i can inform works fine in FF and IE7 in windows, if you could have any problems with other browsers you need to tell me. Currently I have the homepage, so i’m seeking a critique belonging to the design, rather as opposed to navigational structure, also i’ve definitely not got round to help making rollovers for that navigation yet. Basically as well as is before alpha, its basically merely a rough idea of what I need to make, but what would you think what can i improve on thanks a great deal, Solidgold It is really something different… that’s the best thing. Aging resize gracefully. Look at viewing on a 800 pixel browser. The text inside the content is too small with luck to read. I guess just the thought of breaking out on the normal blah web-sites…. … Continue reading

Well, if you ever learn to program code properly, the only program that you just listed that you should need is Photoshop. You can signal in Notepad, or even download Notepad++ (highly recommended). You ought to start learning HTML and CSS very first, then move on Javascript, or some sort of Server Side Dialect, such as PHP. Adobe Contribute, worth purchasing?
is definitely anyone familiar w/ the item Contribute designed by means of Adobe i’m looking for an alternative way to let clients edit their very own sites.. would it be better to search w/ a CMS Contribute is an added expense for each and every user and generally is best is more preferable suited to static web sites. Basically you need to have your own replicate of Contribute along with the user deserves a copy as well. In this era of server side CMS programs using these services is really conterintuative however which have been the types that would prefer this but you should ask how often they would be making that changes themselves. If you think they may need to occasional change for instance adding or wiping out staff or table members, uploading some brand-new photos or products it’d really be more economical so you might charge a maintenance charge if it’s actually not very frequent. Contribute is going $150 on Amazon today. Do you need to buy that for yourself and also incure that will same cost in your client. Depends on what sort of updates are being done and exactly how often. well say the client wants … Continue reading

Quick question about FTP
issues I never seriously knew, just seeking some basic facts, i searched although didnt’ really find what I got looking for… what exactly is ASC II option for using a ftp client a faster way to upload text files what exactly is Binary option for using a ftp client more rapidly way for many files and might someone explain passive mode for me also any other bits of info about FTP, that is likely to be useful to myself, please state the idea too.. just learning about a thing i never seriously questioned Passive vs Energetic mode has related to " listening" using a second port. Sometimes it can get filtered away by network firewalls and also stuff, so they came across the other function. I don’t remember that’s which, but this explained it in my experience back when MY PARTNER AND I cared: http: //www. slacksite. com/other/ftp. html I’m sure ASCII is for text files and the rest is sent because Binary (e. gary. images). I dont’ think there exists a speed advantage… Google it if you can’t know, or wiki: Wikipedia: FTP http: //en. wikipedia. org/wiki/File_Transfer_Protocol.

Thumbnail layout
May anyone guide me within the right direction to create a page much like this one: http: //www. valeriebeller. com/new/paint. htm Thanks beforehand. It seems like Javascript is used to populate the key image section. Does one say this is comming at a template Is flash being used possibly It looks like there may be a Flash movie while in the background somewhere, but it’s not necessarily embedded on the page. The Javascript is actually calling a function NextFrameFlashMovie(‘n’), where n may be the frame in the movie. It looks as if it might just as simply be calling static jpgs. In fact, the only. swf’s for the page look to be for a time/date funtion. I’m uncertain, though, because I have never seen this treatment and I are likely to avoid using Pen wherever possible. And also, I can declare definitively Flash is not required to re-create that. You’ve settled my personal nerves alittle- Thanks very much. (Have a deadline for your new site) What do you feel about copying the code and wanting to insert images along with customize the site from that point on Are these claims method common, ok to complete, or even advisable What would … Continue reading

Simple Header Question…
Hi all, My business is using FrontPage to style a simple one page how do people be basically the leading door to this phpBB forums. I am looking for ways to the logo picture i always am using with the header to be indefinetly to the actual left and proper. Kind like this particular (following link is to my bulletin board). If someone may help me get this figured out I would be forever grateful. Regards, Sale Do you mean you wish the logo in the middle, with equal quit and right margin on either part If you have a look at the image itself, it’s only as wide as being the content part. Some people then took the particular gray " smear" component of the image and also created a background around the body to fit it… giving the illusion it goes entirely across. It truly is essentially two shots, the car onto the background, when using the " smear" part matching the other person on the kept and right. Here’s the auto: http: //mechanicsonduty. com/phpBB/templates/SiteGroundPHPbb2/images/top. jpg This is the background: http: //mechanicsonduty. com/phpBB/templates/SiteGroundPHPbb2/images/bg. jpg (the background can be defined to repeat surrounding the page). Thanks for that replies. … Continue reading
