Creating a Online Fourm Site
1. You need a web server provider (most ISPs hate you hosting website pages from home) TWO. You need discussion board software (vBulletin, Invision are some great ones for that $$$, phpBB may be a free alternative) 3. You need an excellent topic, with a little something unique, in order to acquire (and keep! ) users Well, you will need to firstly have a domain name and hosting, that’s compatable with the actual forum software. After youdo that I recommend, looking into vbulletin as well as phpbb, depending how much you are going to spend. I’d personally look directly into vbulletin, it is the best forum application on the market, and although its the most expensive it’s worth it. There are still free forum software packages out there vanilla phpBB Plus more… but I feel these are a very common vBulletin is on no account the most high priced; there is community software that costs over $10, 000 and there’s software that’s free. Which forum would it be that costs much… and it have to be something pretty specific to cost that sort of money vBulletin’s a superb value for the amount of money.

If your going to run an internet server purely pertaining to testing purposes but not make it public then it truly is fine to do so. Generally you want your special server on your pc for server-side ‘languages’ like PHP. A public server, like ones with domains and everything, usually need your strict contract and sorts using your ISP (or you become your own ISP, which is what most web hosting service companies do). Lots of people do have their very own testing sites, which are like http: //255. 255. 255. 255/blah, using the IP there. Like said preceding most ISP’s will cut your service if they find out that your hosting files regarding any sort … Continue reading

Custom 404 Error Page
I would really prefer to add a new custom 404 error page to a website I’m working away at. This website is going to be added to my own school’s website consequently, as far as I’m sure, I can’t just develop a. htaccess file to make the 404 redirect page given it would affect the complete school website. Is there ways to make the website redirect with a certain page if there is an error not having editing a. htaccess file I was thinking of some type of php redirect script, but I’m unclear what would function. Suggestions That’s typically a server setting. Depending on ones host or that server platform, it is possible to redirect it with a specific page that you create, and subsequently point the 404 problem to it. Some ISPs have this into their settings as an option on their deal with panels. If you do not have access to these kinds of settings, you’ll have to create the site. Then contact the server admin as well as the them the full path on the page. If you are using any kind connected with scripting language on the site, you probably wish to create a custom … Continue reading
