Logs and Stats
Hello Just looking at my webstats as well as noticed that I’ve been getting hits from countries I had not been expecting. How accurate is that this information i. electronic. is that hit really from Finland. We’d be more self-assured if there wasn’t a big percentage of unresolved/unknown nations. Im using Webalizer that will analyse the firelogs. We’d really appreciate any advice you’ll be able to give as it will impress my boss while i tell him were prohibited getting hits via. For you information the site is for my church this is why hits from Finland are slightly unusual. id say they’re just pretty accurate.. i do believe they get the data from the regional settings on the users PC yet im not several. It depends for the ISP mostly. They’re usually very accurate, but ISPs like AOL usually throw them down. According to a lot of stats packages, almost all AOL users will be from West Va. If it affirms your user is admittedly from Finland (or a country outside the US), that’d become pretty accurate, since most countries without using the US have their own TLDs and they usually get reflected for their ISPs.

How can I set up phpbb "right" on my site?
I want to begin phpbb on the site. The way I wish to accomplish it is once someone continues my website plus logs in they will click on the forum link and automatically be log into the forum. I know that there’s a way to do that but I am sort of new to net development. Can anyone support me out using this phpbb2 carries a ‘remember me’ button. When the end user logs in once they tick which box, then on further visits they’re just automatically logged around. They have to log in at least once themselves, because there’s no way of being aware of their username and also password before they sign in. There’s a mod out there that does the following for phpBB. Basically I do believe it’s just using phpbb’s session functions. The idea could be to set a cookie that could contain data you can use to log the user in.
Hacked
Greetings everyone, I am confused if this is actually the correct forum to be able to stick this problem in, but getting older seem to squeeze into any other kind. Not long ago i began working with a website for a customer who decided on his own web host company. With all the websites I have done, I have for no reason had a ‘hack’ challenge. It seems this site has become a challenge child with hacking. I discussed it while using host, and they said this is most likely the hacker deciphering this FTP username/password. Relating to since changed the actual password to a little something entirely irrelevant — hence, hard determine – yet the site has been hacked into again. Could this be a dilemma with the host How do you protect your site Thank you. The question It’s safe to ask is the reason why is someone hacking any small-time site Does your client have people once him Not that i know of…. all I see on the page is the hacker boasting that he is showing the ‘Admin’ in which their ‘security software/system is definitely weak’….. and then he likes to give shout-outs to each of … Continue reading

Counter / Browser logger
Howdy. My work offers asked me to suss out a behind the clips counter and browser detecter that people can bolt to every site, both external in addition to internal (intranet) to provide us information about – what number of hits, and which browsers everyone is using. Not done that before – will there be one you might recommend I suppose they wouldn’t brain buying it when it wasn’t very costly – I need one that is guaranteed secure and successful, and efficiently. We all dont’ have php unfortunately, the systems use IIS and also the sites are mainly integrated either asp. net or html. Many thanks. If you enable logging around IIS, you can lay down to track such thinggs as IP address, cell phone browser (also called " consumer agent" ), and various data you can report from. The way to enable logging within Windows Server THE YEAR 2003 (IIS 6. 0) The way to enable logging within Windows Server 2000 (IIS 5. 0) Which gets you the particular raw data, but then you’ll want any log analyzer program to translate in which into meaningful data. Steve Schofield lists some of the more popular versions in his website: … Continue reading

Web Analytics Package help
Howdy all Much like the description says what My business is requiring it to provide a free Web Analytics Package similar to http: //www. onestat. com/, though no have to become quite so fruitful. Basically so long as visitors register certainly they can use the merchandise, however, that said I have no clue really where to begin and am seriously after software in a very box. Can certainly someone offer just about any suggestions Perhaps you have looked at Google Analytics POST use Clicky. We use Google Analytics at the job, although personally I think it might be more reliable to apply a package this analyzes Apache’s access logs in lieu of how GA is effective.

Include Paths
All right… now Ive had this issue before. I’ve my site basic, ok…. now ROOT includes customer list. cfm These days, my includes appear like this < a href=" test. cfm" > Should the menu file is a part of index. cfm, this url is siteroot. com/test. cfm Which can be perfect, now merely include the same file within a page in the prospect folder it is siteroot. com/customer/test. cfm WE do understand why this happens, however we would like them to link to siteroom. com/file. cfm from the siteroot pages and pages in just about any subdirectory. Ive tested out doing < a href=". /.. /test. cfm" > but this seems to use the path from the page im in (i thought it used the road of the includes directory) I am using coldfusion btw. I realize how to do this within php, but cant quite have the CF equiv. No, always uses the page use as a reference point. It’s not any PHP or CF thing, it’s an HTML CODE thing. More really simply a folder directory matter actually I found the most effective to this. In php it had been actually $SERVERDOCUMENT_ROOT + method to file. THis … Continue reading
