church client PHASE 1

Delighted New Year to all or any! The new design for your forums looks sweeeet. Not too long ago I posted a question about my new client, that is a church. I started on the mockup of their design and this is what I have up to now. The url of its site is: world wide web. jonesumc. org Already some developments I see include the border.. it looks excessively pixelated. Also, I’m going to own to extend the actual navigation bar all the way up across. I will workout on CSS to build a border around that layout that centers it in the center of the page. The planning is simple, and maybe it ought to be, however I have to add something eye-catching which solidifies its strict design. My friend said so it looks more just like a corporate website over a church site. lol Is the use of green compulsary (ie. has it been specified from the client that they need green I notice the old site is very green too)… I ask so it just doesn’t improve me at many, the green that is. Their logo can be distinctive, with the particular cross and most, and … Continue reading

So how do you build your sites? What is your organization style/workflow/process?

Seeing that I handed down a former web project of mine into a co-worker, she noted the best way differently she sorted out her site/files along with how it took her longer just to get accustomed to how my stuff was create. So this is just a general question away from curiosity. I’m wondering how we all build ones websites — just what your general progression is, how everyone organize your data, etc. Me I always start in Photoshop that has a blank 1024×768 theme. I literally develop everything in Photoshop how I’d expect to see it on the web — background image/texture, a 750px box (for primary content) or other structure, and photographs. I populate subject matter areas with phony text (Verdana or maybe whatever font, no anti-alias, so it looks like it would in the browser), and use the text tool to set-up my headers, or anything else. I even place such things as fake iframes in the event used (take your screenshot of my own desktop and paste the scrollbar through my browser) and everything else that you’d see inside the live site. Once I’ve my mockup executed, I am qualified to save off your full-size JPG … Continue reading

Stonework by Dave Romero Mockup

And here is a mockup of what might be the base on the site for your stone-worker in Las Vegas, Innovative Mexico. Anyone suggest any tweaks Or maybe, do you that it I would also make the logo text rather bigger, or the nav text a tad smaller, especially since they may be so close with each other… but that is probably me. Either way I’m keen on it. There’s no doubt that you’ll discover who’s looks nice that it is now, but when you have images of actual career sites and precise stonework, those images might be very light and bright when compared to " skins" of this site. It shall be a rather tough contrast. Put some photos in your site and see when there is. Actually, the majority of the photo’s have loads of red’s and dark greens because of the location, but I recognize what you signify. I’ve started ripping up the site, and I have a challenge for a few of you. IE is launching the footer part of the site amusing, and the value seems fine to me. So, I’d like to uncover why before POST hack it. http: //drstonework. evercambio. com/ http: //drstonework. … Continue reading

A concept of my personal/portfolio website

Formerly suffering with tinnitus thinking about creating myself a portfolio website for a time, and tonight WE finally sat straight down and threw mutually a mockup with the layout. I sooo want to get some earliest impressions before I develop the reasoning behind further. Heres a link to a screenshot: http: //img413. imageshack. us/my. phpimage=orangeconceptus4. png Likewise, I’m having trouble searching for a name pertaining to my website plus design company, almost any suggestions are liked. I’m seeking a good label too – however I suggest collecting a thesaurus, locate a word you realize, and get a synonim. It’s a powerful way to come up with cool-sounding words who have a meaning. Just be sure you google and whois the name first to assure you’re not clashing along with anyone. Unlike in the west the design, that looks nice, but the main problem is that the majority of the lines will be too rough (not antialiased). Get it done for the sidebar edges, too. Would you happen to unique www. danburke. com That particular is parked having GoDaddy. Easy ones like that " dancast. com" usually are taken, but ours, " dankast. com" is not really yet taken. The actual … Continue reading

The options seem too quite a few… I can’t obtain the " correct" strategy to start. I just find out I shouldn’t slice right table. I tried environment the background towards dark gray (as while in the bottom right (large) section) then making the header gradient your background DIV, and also the orange bar your background DIV, for example. But these DIVs are getting messy… Perhaps it’s normal, look wonderful I’m asking. I note that I could develop regular background picture class, but subsequently how would MY SPOUSE AND I divide the site into " boxes" each with their own background Sorry for any skitzo attitude, I just kinda feel shed. and you’ll need to give us the check out the existing web-site. You might want to go to Google and look up: cost-free css templates There are lots of free templates with all the column layouts in addition to numerous combinations of columns… find 1 that fits your layout along with download it. … Continue reading

Hello there, Concerning been working on the design in Photoshop and I am mentally stuck. I will be wondering if anybody has ideas that can help get myself moving. Any suggestions Regards for your period. Regards, Chris K. You break each of those buttons towards separate images (. gif as well as. png). Then you certainly create another set with all your " mouse-over" image… what will show if your mouse is within the button. While you get your CSS part done, the mouse-over may swap the impression. Implementing Javascripting or natural CSS… not sure how you should do that. In any event, your whole photoshop page should be broken down into separate images that obtain placed (positioned) upon the page. Just about all done as part of your XHTML/CSS coding. Thanks a great deal for the assistance. I will try and work that away. Chris K.

Considering backgrounds for my website

Hey everyone. I’m new to web page design and this looked as a quality forum in order to join. I’m aiming to create a track record for my website, www. deepbluetrees. com. I have just one idea but I am open to quite a few options. Now, the background is simply a static grey color. I have considered quite a few paterns, but can’t think of an idea that might both look very good and fit with the " design" with the site. My idea for that design is to acquire a gradient which turns from dim grey (darker versus current color) to a black or dark navy blue down with the bottom of your page. This would choose pretty far to the footer, where there could well be downward facing tree outlines that end in the very bottom with the page. The idea should be to make it seem like a reflection… Related to that made feeling, I’m going in an attempt to work out a mockup in photoshop. The type of look i always would be going for can be bought in this picture: http: //deepbluetrees. com/images/inspiration. jpg I’d even be fine with something like cropping the reflection … Continue reading

Hey people of website development… I just learn: http: //24ways. org/2009/make-your-mockup-in-markup what don’t you guys think ought to we abandon css2, photoshop and the idea of ie6 not copy css3 The article is absolutely great… and Id love to learn css3… but the idea of not using illustrator for my mockups usually are bit daunting and also call me obsessive compulsive but I merely cant leave those old skul people of ie6 at the rear of….. The author may be a really great web designer… even my advisor says shes much better than him… oh well hope to find out what are your own thoughts bout this kind of… This is a good evolution in progression and we are during it. We don’t want to reduce the old stuff because some people still use this. We don’t prefer to use the brand new stuff because a lot of people don’t have the item yet! IE6 has one foot inside grave and other foot on a new banana peel. The only real way to complete it off is usually when designers stop designing for it. As long because sites work with IE6 then people will never have a motive to upgrade. … Continue reading
