Directories..
Basically have one web-site in my main directory (prblic_html) plus a second site in a sub directory (public_html/subdir), along with the sub directory has a domain name, will that web site be crawled by google as if its part of the primary website Should they will be seperated somehow Im confused if I should deny access to the sub submission site in my main sites robots. txt archive or not. There’s no doubt that I want these both ranked seperatly, unless it will be better together Your engine won’t recognize your subdomain we know; it can’t pick it up on its personal. A complicated answer: I don’t think search engines could dig your primary domain, attempt to find all CNAME documents, and then index those results. If it lets you do, then that’s poor given some subdomains here really should not be indexed.

where the hell do i go from here?
we’ve just started this particular – http: //www. freewebs. com/aedesigns2/main. html for the client selling woksheets for you to schools, but where should i go from here we’ve got a head block, or it would seem. almost any suggestions solidgold haha, that’s the least amount of content There’s no doubt that I’ve seen about here (asking intended for direction). Obviously you need a good 4-5 section intro about what it’s the company should. As well as that maybe some pictures belonging to the products or investment photos of individuals, schools, administrators, teachers, etc (whoever it truly is using the conclusion product). Likewise, need to know color schemes. What about a chalkboard flash banner rather then what you own I always suggest conversing with the customer discovering what colors they need, do they have/need some sort of logo, when someone looks for the site is there a impression they wish to make, does the consumer have any suggestions, etc. Extra info you get at a customer, the easier it’s to design something. Do not know what else to talk about with so tiny. Hope you get used to the mind hinder. Best of luck……… hmm, ideally it’ll pass! im just at … Continue reading

PLEASE HELP ME GET STARTED!
I’m new to web site design and I first have general requests. First of most of, I am utilizing Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Is that this the best combination, or can somebody please recommend a better solution Would people recommend creating all graphics in Photoshop and then placing in Dreamweaver I also wonder with regards to browser compatibility plus HTML vs CSS I appreciate the help. Photoshop and Dreamweaver certainly are a good combination. You can apply all photo croping and editing or creation involving simple graphics with photoshop and spend less them there to apply for the site. If you wish to create more sophisticated graphics or drawings, you’ll want to utilize illustrator or much the same program. there are a great deal of issues with browser compatability, but you can avoid loads of issues by merely validating the css plus html files while using the w3c validators (http: //www. w3. org/QA/Tools/#validators). You may also want to check the information within the new Adobe CSS Consultant (still beta — http: //www. adobe. com/cfusion/communityengine/index. cfmevent=homepage& productId=1) the way it has some handy information regarding identified css issues. On the other hand, this will certainly not replace testing your site in various … Continue reading

Does CSS really work for liquid site design???
MY SPOUSE AND I originally designed this site using CSS and also HTML with many absolute positioning: http: //jump-pilot. sourceforge. net/index. html I thought it was before a bad site for the newbie until Manged to get some complaints from a few of the people viewing your website. When I exposed it on my browser at your house, which is much smaller compared to browser I designed coursesmart on I found it looked a lot worse! Even though I designed coursesmart to be at most 800 pixels broad, the page appeared huge and I’d to scroll to view everything. So I fixed to revamp the site to be flexible or liquid, and reduce the absolute positioning. I thought that this was a rspectable goal until I realized each cell phone has different glitches or shortcomings when it comes to CSS! A fluid design that appears correct in World-wide-web Explorer doesn’t look correct in Firefox, the other that displays appropriately in Firefox would not look right in Internet Explorer. I didn’t even try some other browsers! This challenge leads me to ask a straightforward question. Can I showcase a webpage employing a different stylesheet influenced by the browser that’s viewing it … Continue reading
Required Skills for a good chance of career in websites
Howdy, I am currently at University or college studying a appropriate course and very interested in websites and creating them and am hoping one day have a career with this field. It is earlier days now and I’ll no doubt uncover what my strengths and also weaknesses are, but what could the pros in here suggest are generally skills I should browse ensure I here’s pretty strong at so that they can have a good chance of a career, as I understand it is a large competitive industry. CSS, Javascript, Ajax, PHP, Adobe flash etc. Many thanks. All in the above are very beneficial, although not most of are necessarily recommended. For example, if you’re going to be employed by a company which uses ASP. NET, you don’t want to know PHP. I work for any company that employs PHP and I have no need to know Flash–we have people that do know them, though. XHTML and CSS are essential, though, and I’d fight that even a designer who just refers to Photoshop should even now know XHTML plus CSS so they know about its limitations whenever creating designs. Yes, it depends on what company you go improve. On the … Continue reading

Hello, thanks to everybody and i say thanks in advance to anyone that will help. I feel a completly ‘green’ website deveolper. I have virtually taught myself tips on how to use photoshop dreamweaver and anything else i use at my owe. Not any schooling no lessons just trial plus error and reading through some book these and there. I have done some web sites for fun and simply to see what possible do and my personal question is, after i load the two sites relating to done.. especially www. tristatesurvey. com your page loads extremly slowly. it loads in what may seem like ‘sections’ or something. can anyone tell me why this is and many more how to remedy a repair Thanks to most people again It’s really a crapload of pictures. Never, ever, ever use ImageReady as well as another tool to build your page for you. You’ll always want to do it by fretting hand. Instance: all of that text should be actual text inside of your HTML and possibly not the image. While there are so many benefits of doing it because of this, it specifically will help your problem due to the fact one character … Continue reading

Design from a color blind
Here are comps I are already trying to cause it to more, uh.. specialized looking. Harsh feedback are acceptable. Should improve my style and design skills and the layouting skills…: ermm: it for a car shop for the auto enthusiasts… ehehehe Truly, that looks very awesome. Better than everything I could come up with Thanks! Therefore… which one is superior number 3 looks one of the best to me, the contrast regarding colors is more effective and nicer working. as for design and style for color blind ppl everyone should use this specific http: //colorfilter. wickline. org/ #4 is in fact really good. My only complaint by it is that it truly is too dark, yet that fits the particular genre, so thumbs way up from me. In addition, not sure in case you designed the logo, but you should say to them to consider revising it and make the N in caps – right now, it reads a good deal like the GAS logo to my opinion (from PMR) Make like #4 too. They are all excellent. #4 hmm… change the image of your respective model car, it’s too simple and also plain… find a unique image that will … Continue reading
