.htaccess changing .html to .php

Merely wondering if it’s htacces(I’m like guessing) that allows to perform the same idea that this forum uses to change thread4342. html to obviously like showthread. phppage=4342 and so forth… how would I begin doing this Here I use a custom-written. htaccess archive that uses mod_rewrite. mod_rewrite calls for URLs and, assigned regular expressions, converts them to figureout in other platforms. It is not with the weak of heart and soul, especially if that you do not know regular expressions. Dang =/ I was hoping there’d be a less arduous way.. I’ve always snuck underneath the line when it comes to regular expressions.. editing other peoples’ work and melding it in mine. To me it will as well possibly be 21315413lsaf; lkjfdsa =/ Bless you anyway. Well as an example here, showthread. php is in the syntax: showthread. phps=sessionhash& threadid=threadid So the regexp to convert it will be: showthread. php\s=(a-f0-9*)& threadid=(0-9+) to thread$2. html … There’s no doubt that. The first regexp matches any hex string (or an empty string), and the second matches a variety with a minumum of one digit. It then maps the other match to the appropriate position in additional string. However confusing It took me … Continue reading

WHEN I haven’t tried ASP as well as ColdFusion yet. ASP with luck. I can’t get enough of that VB! My business is trying to study JSP now. It looks very difficult but I believe that it is worth learning because I do believe all Java based languages need to be rougly the similar, and anymore you will get away from finding out Java. Plus I listened to JSP kills the others where speed goes (except with regard to ColdFuson, which uses identical concept as JSP) Under no circumstances been a supporter of VB. Also, by means of splitting the photograph into multiple items, it could end up being assembled one piece at a time so that psychologically, the page doesn’t take so long to load. Those rules don’t apply the maximum amount today, because obtain speeds are considerably faster. If you could do it, though, make sure you specify a for your so that page doesn’t perform the " stretch and squeeze" consequence when loading. While using the slice tool throughout photoshop. Why people love doing this, are mainly the belief that you can create any design possible, this looks great, as opposed to having to pattern in boring platforms. I’m currently working over a site for the hockey team plus they want some with their game footage on the website. They want a page who has pictures of videos while you open the idea, a video doesn’t work in a fresh small window that fits the type of the video tutorial… i have some ideal how to complete this, but desire some other opinions that may save me a while. Thanks If bandwidth just isn’t a major matter, then I would use QuickTime. It’s available on the 2 main major platforms–Windows and also OS X–and can deliver excellent. If bandwidth is a dilemma, then I would use Windows Storage devices streaming (prior for you to Windows Media 9). It’s ubiquitous in Windows and mildly supported in OS X. Just avoid using RealPlayer. We would agree with filburt1…. Streaming windows storage devices (if bandwidth is surely an issue) is the most effective way forward. The following ’embed’ code could help you – well then , i’ll know when you’ve got any problems… < merchandise id=" MediaPlayer" width=" 320" height=" 320" classid=" CLSID: 22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" codebase=" http: //activex. ‘microsoft’. com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf. cab#Version=6, FIVE, 7, 1112" standby=" Loading Microsoft Windows Storage devices Player components… … Continue reading

However trying to generate a link on the webpage to this kind of address fails. It cannot discover the page. I checked this code and discovered it turned out inserting 5%C or maybe something similar the location where the \ characters were being. I then copied and pasted the proper link in and also tried again. Even though it was now pointing into the correctb location this still failed using the same error!! Why could it be doing this Is a common difficulty Does anyone know a workaround All the best, Mitch Nicely, I know why if you pasted the 999. 999. 999. 999 It looks like you should be trying to reveal a page all over an ftp interconnection. Erm…A ltiile help here?

A certain amount of a continuation in the navigation thread I started…… Well basically can easily anyone tell my home how I change where the bar appears And the way to stop it happening forever It really is here: http: //www. crabhand. company. uk/help. htm I basically want to buy to either be in the table or ensure it is centered and similar width of the table….. Many thanks!!!: nervous: Hmm, I don’t believe I quite comply with… But first thing that really is not clean code. Because you said you don’t know anything about coding Consider the good dismiss that however. So far as I can tell, the nav bar is precisely the same width as the actual table now (600 one thing px), and it appears to be centered too. One thing you might do is consider this block of code: body border: px; foam: 9em; text-align: left place: absolute To begin with, the margin is not defined. So either rise out completely, set it to 0px, or set it into a other number for a liking. Second, I believe you can take out the ‘text-align: still left; ‘ since all your content will be in the table. … Continue reading

Alt tag vs Title tag

I am aware of that alt tags will not show tooltips taking Mozilla & Firefox. Understanding that the title tag Works with those 2, plus IE. In the event that I’m using subject tags, is them bad design to drop the alt tags.. or does this cause other issues Should i need both Thanks Jayell It is wise to use alt tags pertaining to images. Screen book lovers need them. I use championships for things including background images (css) and also sometimes DIVS. I dont think Concerning usedthem on pictures before. Without a doubt, always specify your alt attribute intended for images. Even when the image does not create the content, nevertheless specify it (alt=" " ). Likewise, do not rely on tooltips for functionalty with regard to both accessibility and also browser compatibility. I did some investigating into this some time back. The planned uses are since follows: alt:: renewable text for an image, should be used for each meaningful image, apply empty (alt=" " ) tags at presentational images. Start using a meaningful description. concept:: should display when tooltip, for example to indicate what goes on if you click on the image. The first problem: IE platforms alt … Continue reading

front end vs. back end vs. limited time

Good day everyone, If time is usually an issue with web site design, whats the best approach to start and also complete a project after getting your resources plus background information available to use. Should a solo designer start taking the front end (creating the look of the website) or even should that person first deal with making several layout templates that may work with any kind of design that the individual dreams up In addition, suppose that you need to do the front end first however , you find it progressively more difficult to translate the IT design in to a workable HTML formatting. What are some ways of work around that problem For those who have a superb expertise in table design CSS Speaking from particular experience I once spent a lot of time researching the " look" of a website without watching how it would format on the net. And since you merely have so very much freedom with HTML CODE, I was dissapointed this my vision didn’t look similar once it seemed to be coded. In fact it looked uglier. Entrance end: Creating the visual design and images that continue a website, by simply editing images … Continue reading
