Cannot Connect to FTP

Hello, 2 , 3 weeks ago I got no problems registering to two servers through ftp. Now they do not work. My organization is trying through SmartFTP, Dreamweaver, plus IE. None may accept my usernames or perhaps passwords, which I am aware are correct. I also tried to have help from my hosting service. They were able to connect using the username and password, but for whatever reason I cannot via my computer. I get " a great ftp error features ocurred" or " would not connect because this target machine definitely refused it. " There has to be anything on my machine that will prevent ftp accesss by all programs this way I have allowed full entry to all of my own ftp programs throughout my firewall. Thanks for the help! Do MAC FTPs even exsist?

I HATE CuteFTP!!! Advises anyone…

I would prefer to make a good pick on purchasing a really good FTP program for changing my website. As yet with big hope I became using CuteFTP. FTP connection dropping while uploading many files

I’ve really had it with this particular problem. It’s been bugging me for a long time. I’ve had this with CoreFTP, CuteFTP, SmartFTP and also RBrowser on mac pc, and about several different webhost machines. When I really need to upload a large amount of files, let’s declare, the whole package on the forum installation, if i drop the complete thing into publish, it uploads a few dozen files, after which the connection declines. Usually the message is something similar to – remote edge closed connection. It’s a wonderful hassle finding where it stopped as well as manually uploading every subdirectory on the subdirectory of a new subdirectory.
