browser wars

Mozilla, whats the particular point I dont such as monopolies, and I’m its not all that fond of Microsoft, but absolutely everyone benefits the particular sooner IE gets 100% user foundation. If I may just design considering the knowledge that everyone would see precisely what I see(resolutions along with mac users aside), then things can be much easier Actually I generally have a tendency to not give your **** about Mozilla customers etc (I know it is bad practice, dont care) that will learn em to be different! This post is just not intended as a strong attack on any individual who uses one more browser(spluf, danieloliver) Which browser have you been using right now If you carry out use another visitor, why is it is it just to get design purposes, or does one prefer it that much more WHEN I use Safari (because Now i’m a ****ing Mac pc user, using a real browser) congratulations. why could it be such a true browser As opposed to getting everyone to utilize the same visitor, how about getting the entire browsers to abide by the same technical specs Features like tabbed searching and extensions make Firebird more pleasing to me, … Continue reading

I would like to renovate my own site and recreate it from scuff, I’ve been arranging some ideas plus I’ve figured out most of the stuff, but after researching several of my ideas more thuroughly I realized who’s can only become done via repository scripting PHP and MySQL I do think which I recognize nothing about. What I want to do is allow the actual staff members with my site to log proper user account where they can distribute images/pictures, post inside a blog, add inbound links, etc. Kinda like what they’ve at 1up. com for many members of the positioning. Here is an example: its my report never touched while http: //zaccheus16. 1up. com/ I would like to allow my staffers a select group connected with people to sign in, and have having access to a wide choice of customizable content that way. the actual "design" of websites?

I am a pretty familiar with html and css. Also im getting really confident in this php/MySQL skills also. My only challenge is design. I browse this site alot and see some very amazing designs. Mine compared to theirs is novice. What tutorials may also help me learn about web site design. Please dont just simply point me into a photoshop tuts. I want something that basically teaches the " net side" of design and style. Are a person talking appearance or functionality and system Well i’ll do the functionality and i realize like basic layout(where choices should go in addition to stuff). It’s just creating those amazing graphics and identifying cool original suggestions. Gotcha. I think a good deal has to do with knowing the program you will be working with and the right way to really use the idea. I use Fireworks but the majority use Photoshop. They do many of the same things since they’re just related and suitable, but PS is often a notch above. Color combination is often a big key. I’ve seen people aim to put purple in addition to green together and also brown and red and yes it just kills the whole … Continue reading

Best User Interface you’ve seen?

Howdy, Will there be a website (or list) where We can find best user interfaces For the two Public facing and also Official applications Many thanks I obviously have never seen an interface that i could call " that best". What makes the interface good is a ability to supply the requested information to the user as easily and easily that they can, which I suppose means the best interface is the particular simplest interface. Have worth keeping, Microphone The design with the interface is likewise significant, because in the western world me some colorings and color mixtures are irritating! But to the first place will be simplicity, of training course!

How is web page design different from web graphic design?

Is website design different via web graphic layout I think quite possibly almost the same but have a slight difference. We’d appreciate if a person can tell that difference, thanks) Well in the centre of it, you are able to only design the look and function of the site, using design and style tools like Photoshop and Illustrator, while another actually causes it to become functional through HTML markup and also other code. In a more real means, as the internet site industry has matured, the positions of front-end designer/developer, UI (User Interface), and UX (User Experience) design have enter play. These are people that focus on how site will look, how a visitor interacts by it and analyzes feedback within the general experience that will constantly improve. They don’t always focus much on the exact code… exception maybe in order to front-end developers who do a great deal of HTML/CSS/JS work. Then you definately will have back-end developers who consentrate on making the needed elements function seeing that designed, work using the various development ‘languages’ and platforms, sources, securities etc. Still a bit oversimplified look from it, but you have the idea. Almost all that aside. I get the … Continue reading

need advice re: website using CMS or dbase to load /update web content

Hi there, I’m tasked with upgrading our company website: http: //www. techniksusa. com… and one of the goals is to develop a site with a user interface regarding updating the content – so as soon as new products are created (or deleted) shots, descriptions, part #’s, or anything else… the UI is usually accessed by any schmoe, and once the updates are built to the dbase or maybe CMS, then the actual website will populate accordingly. That’s the dream anyway. I appreciate any guidance to reference point material or products people think I should take a look at, etc. Please check out there the website link above to see the species of content I am dealing with. With thanks tons, goatbeater55 It depends just what exactly features you’ll be in search of but broadly speaking WordPress is a superb place to begin. It’s very easy to educate yourself admin-wise, has a huge amount of really excellent themes or templates and plugins available as a starting point, and is generally the most used CMS for smallish internet sites. I noticed you’ve got tables on a lot of the product pages. WP doesn’t deal adequately with creating tables out of the box … Continue reading
