Heya Guys, I have been recently reading the forums for a while now and We are a local freelancer that will works with a small number of individuals and small businesses in my place. I wanted to create a post to acquire some feedback coming from other members from the forum and see what everyone must say. As most of the people know, web design can be a pretty nasty industry once you look at your large scope associated with things. Writing an "accomplishment-based" resume

Which accomplishments are likely employers (whether these are a design firm or a small company interested in hiring freelancers) searching for in web designers/Flash animators by using 2-3 minimal a lot of experience What type of accomplishments should we mention for every job description We’ve already listed our skills sets, but I think my resume can be too bland simply because I simply wrote a summary for each occupation description. Thank you. I don’t think you should have a standard resume. What you’ve done is well enough, but more importantly it is advisable to have a portfolio within your work. Most employers trying to find a web designer wish to know your skill sets and appear at work you have done. I look for a portfolio and after that do follow upwards questions on the skill sets. Referfing to " accomplishments" on each job outline isn’t really required. You can do it if you’d prefer, but I don’t think it is advisable to for a majority of the job marketplace. Help with converting PDFs and MSWord files to web pages

Hi, All fellow web site designers, I am getting returning to designing web websites its been a time, I have a customer that has created 27 pages for their website, they desire me to essentially set them upward with hosting corporation, however the data files are PDFs in addition to Microsoft Word. My business is using DW04 (Dreamweaver04) plainly view the files while in the browser the Pdfs show in it’s program window as it would if you went along to a site and wished to see a document and its PDF FILE. I am a marketer with hardly any web design awareness. I have been recently asked to lead the development of a new website, which seems that they are very complicated (a $20, 000+ project). Does anyone know of any online course at " web design concepts for non-designers" The topics I need to be familiar with are: device side tech mysql php tomcat joomla apache This appears like alphabet soup if you ask me right now… can certainly anyone help me personally untangle the albhabets You’re brave to take-on a project like this, without a lisenced users background. Are you just leading the project to be a project manager, or are you expected to really dive-in and complete some programming Holy #$! You can put a staff together without very much trouble, but to learn it yourself…. you need a couple of years, seriously.
