.HTACCESS on a windows hosting machine

Definitely all, I used to be wondering if just about any of you knew the way to setup an htaccess type security using a windows hosting unit. it’s using Xitami to be a web server. in addition to running XP any ideas or help would be awsome. So far as I know Apache will be only server which uses. htaccess… but I understand very little. the little that I understand is that it’s Really hard to do any sort of security on any windows machine as it’s just not made to work.. not to talk about it can’t always be done. what exactly searching to do while using htaccess Just password covered files/dirs yea all I wish to accomplish is make a dir safer. it doesnt ought to be unhackable.

Its rather than that hard, though, if you dont have time to study some basic programming then you could just look up an email script from google or one thing. Make sure you know your net servers specifications before you just write the script. If you work with a Windows machine, use ASP. If you work with a Linux host, use Perl as well as PHP. Google Duplicate Title Tags for Home Page Issue

In my own Google webmaster tools, it tells me Concerning a duplicate 7steps tag between my home page and my default web site: As well, when I do a site search, I get both normal home page along with the default page exhibited: However, when I check my file director, there is only 1 version of my internet site on the machine: default. htm Is this problem caused by means of my xml sitemap which in turn states defines the main url plus the default. htm traffic: A few pointer remove the 2nd emboldened line through the sitemap – or do you find it better to leave it there I am afraid I’m a novice at sitemaps : I only normally design small sites therefore rarely use these folks. Now i’m somewhat new to website design and I had been looking at a variety of websites that get design-like software abilities already a part of the page. NET, also using javascript, AJAX in addition to database interactivity. It appears to be their site is completed using ASP. net (which is dependant on a Windows Machine… not UNIX/Linux). So, they might have got some special stuff running there, not available to many of us. Only were you, I would email them and have about it.
