What are my options?
Sorry to the extremely vague and noobish post, but where must begin I have a couple of sites i wish to streamline. basically seperate my personal data from the structure, and my personal structure from the design. At first we were certain that the perfect marriage would provide html + css + xml. How wrong we were! Said streamlining could involved using HTML to view a basic xml file for those of my website’s data (news, updates, so forth). Little did i know at that time, mozilla does not really support data islands, and thusly the idea was taken all to heck (as 50% and up of my viewing audience will be mozilla/netscape users). Really the only solutions i have realized have involved javascript hacks and extremely sophisticated XSL processors that appear to nullify the first intention of always keeping my sites straightforward to update. I just want to update a text(or whatever) record, then upload them to my site. This is a tremendously simple sounding trouble, and coming at a programming world, i can’t comprehend why it isnt simpler to accomplish. Therefore, before i draw what little hair relating to left out, i found yourself in you, readers with … Continue reading

What don’t you mean when you say the type and model is too big The quality or the actual size it requires up on the particular page If your web page includes the extension. php (instead associated with. html), you can use a PHP script to utilize their RSS supply, thus doing whatever you want with the info. An RSS feed is probably a XML file that may be read-in and a pre-existing PHP script can display the give. Without getting into a huge amount of detail here, you’ll be able to view … Continue reading

Has anyone the following integrated podcasts on a website Will be most standard/best knack of doing this Gives thanks, Jeremy Rss feed hey thanks wired..; -) ok so will certainly an RSS assist anything then a great ipod, pda.. ect An RSS Feeder is just a script (like any PHP script) that reads an index of items from your file (like MUSIC songs) and generates its own XML file that is certainly then study by an RSS Reader. The RSS Viewer displays the tracks and direct links into the MP3 files. Hence, any device that could download and enjoy MP3 files incorporate the use of the RSS Readership. Certainly not MP3, but almost any files, articles, shots, etc. Hence, you’ll have a directory full of recordings (MP3’s). In that case, you have a database which contains, the titles, duration, date recorded, and URL into the real MP3 file. You’ll then have got a PHP script of which reads the databases and creates the particular XML end product for an RSS Reader. The Readers are universal, considering that the XML protocol can be a standard for most … Continue reading

I don’t wish this to happen so it is possible to best way to halt this Embed around flash or some thing else I’ve seen a niche site that has every thing in php I’m confused how they have done that. I focus on a site in which we stream audio through a Flash player which runs off a great XML file. Net the paths towards audio people have got to dig a very little, but then once again… everything is designed for download any ways… how term I do that I understand that peole might download anything in the web but I would prefer then to obtain to dig to the links and not have access to them directly showing inside the source files. Embedding in Flash will be the easiest, plus the benefit of not wanting the bulky plus proprietary WMP or perhaps QT plugins. We utilize the webplayer by WebMinster.

Here is what I’m endeavoring to accomplish, I’m setting up a website for somebody of mine who will be a musician. For the discography page with the site, we’d want to have a mosaic tile regarding album covers that she has sung on, (about 26 recording covers) that are going to be approx 125x125pixels each and every, roughly 5 rows, SOME columns. When your page loads, if at all possible, we’d like these to load almost akin to a domino outcome, one after other quickly. On mouseover, we’d want to have a conversation bubble type package appear on screen having a button to take note of the song about that album, and perhaps 2-3 wrinkles of text that talk about the song and also album. Is this possible to undertake in CSS Otherwise, what other options should i seek, thanks.: basic: I think you ought to find a Flash programmer to get this done for you. … Continue reading
