Hi there all, I am currently in the way of a univisty venture, im tasked by using re designing the web explorer browser. I’m currently doing my own research and believe that primary research would certainly help me tremendously.
So in this thread I would like to ask you, what are you wanting from a different internet browser, which kind of features, open source/closed form, Paid version/Free Type.
So please feel to put whatever you want to see in a new browser, what you expect it to try and do etc.
Thanks a lot for your moment.
To be honest I would say everything about google chrome ‘! ( I know thats not much help but il have a shot at dive in further)
I’m keen on how fast its, and the addons it is possible to install.
I like the internet development ‘inspect tool’ where you are able to change elements online and now have a play around and not upload anything.
Things I’d like to have:
A better home loading site, dont like the existing google chrome a single.. (although I havent seriously looked into when you can change or convert it yet).
A means of managing an eye. I am somebody who is a bit of a goon in relation to viewing websites and I have lots of tabs open at all times, a better knack of managing them would be great! Maybe when people open a tab it automatically gets put in a category tab instead of its own tab then you would select the folder leading to a tab if you get enjoy
I might actually prefer shut source… I by no means have, and never will be, an open reference fan for everything I use retail. There are conditions, but my standard rule is " d source first".
The ability to load your blank page as my internet site.
The ability to wipe out certain cookies with out wiping out just about all.
Chrome’s DOM inspector program.
Relatively small footprint (Firefox particularly has a unbelievably large footprint).
Wouldn’t spend on a browser unless I had no other alternative (and given the nature with the market… that’s possibly not happening).
Decent popup blocker and ideally at least a crude sort of malware detection.
Now i am not big about addons and extensions, since I don’t really see many that raise my development time apart from what Chrome features already provided as a default. I only create a savings fund Validator tool, Roboform on occasion, and maybe Few others.
I’ll take what exactly I like coming from each:
nothing
Effective core
Extensibility (better add-ons plus ‘personas’ theming than Chrome)
Customizability (lots involving settings, unlike Chrome)
Fast
It gets outside of my way nonetheless does what We would like it to perform. That’s why it is really now my primary browser adjusted yesterday.
and Maxthon and stuff of that ranking, well, not even near to good.
While in the enterprise environment only IE. why Because I can control its habits using group coverage.
I recommend chrome to everyone that ask as a result of small footprint also it can and should handle 98% of everything I want to do at home. The other 2% is several large sites that use windows seeing that their backend authentication won’t use chrome.
After 2 hours about the phone ( WE never use cellphone support, but I really needed to buy my cc bill ), the tech I was talking to asked me to undertake something, I have it, he asked again, I have it again, next he said hold out… Are you employing chrome Said yes, he told me personally to kill your chrome session along with start over implementing IE.
Much time story short, he explained in which chrome didn’t understand their security models for the reason that were actually by using a window radius server for back ending authentication.
Being a designer and creator I use just about every browser and also multiple versions ( primarily for testing ), but being a user, chrome does all I really need it to try and do.
Thank you all in your replies, some fascinating responses, please continue them coming.
