A css workaround for this mispositioning problem

hi there all, I’m having a problem over a site im focusing on where contents in the right side with the page (floated left) move onto the left side side, when the remaining hand side’s height just isn’t long enough to be able to ‘push’ the contents in the right column within correct place (in the correct column) You can see this here: http: //d993110. u183. pipeten. corp. uk/knowledge-share/video-library2. php Please check out this correspdoning screenshot wherever I’ve highlighted the actual mispositioned part: http: //www. ameliealden. com/gprob/mispositioning. png Should the content of. column3. firstcol upon that page ‘naturally’ makes. column3 height big enough to help keep those right boxes pushed towards the right, all looks ok just as this screenshot: http: //www. ameliealden. com/gprob/original. png But once i start adding new boxes towards the right or reduce content to the left, I understand this mispositioning problem (see very first screenshot and http: //d993110. u183. pipeten. corp. uk/knowledge-share/video-library2. php as above. ) For now We have sorted this in a very hacky way by means of just adding any fixed height that will. column3 (1200px in this case) with inline css: Code: < div style=" top: 1200px; " class=" column3 firstcol" … Continue reading

Application Suggestion

Hi.. I plan to develop a website that could take bulk information as inputs and help out with linking a DBMS with the website. The website shall have got around 5000 email addresses linked to the website domain. The intended website must be highly interactive. My business is a novice to website designing. Could anyone recommend a unique application I is able to use to develop a really website Gives thanks You’ll be checking out a server-side lisenced users environment, like PHP/MySQL, or ASP. net The webhost you decide will also often be important. I’m getting the idea you are doing mass emails Is always that correct You’ll have difficulty with bandwidth, CPU application, storage, and achievable " secure server" needs. I’m guessing the hosting that is shared itself is gonna be quite expensive. It is not something that " a beginner to website designing" are going to be doing by yourself. You’ll need to be sub-contracting a many programming and machine work. If your venture is a web business, or a money-making opportunity, you should glimpse for some business financing (loans) to fund your software package, programmers, dedicated servers, etc. WHEN I guess that’s my advice. . What exactly … Continue reading

Rollover Fade Without Flash

I am designing a webpage for an iphone 3gs app design organization. They asked me never to use any flash, since it wouldn’t run on iOS. I am trying to produce the rollovers within the navigation fade within and out with no flash. The only way which i have found so far is to create like 20 graphics each with different stages and there is code that may run through them (sort of similar to 20 keyframes), but I can’t take advantage of this because they have to run it off their particular slow old server, and it already takes a bit to load the site and not having to load in such as 100 extra images (plus I don’t really want to have to make 100 images). So will there be any way to be able to tween or diminishes rollovers without adobe flash and without a great deal of images Many thanks Can you utilize Javascript If therefore, you want jQuery fadeTo. jQuery is brilliant for fades and offers like that.

Dreamweaver Question

Acceptable, I should probably be asking this in one of the programming language areas, but i can’t and you will probably understand once my partner and i ask the question. Quite simply, i’m trying to determine how i may possibly inplement a video or a line videos that needs to be watched before you possibly can continue onto the subsequent page(for advertising purposes). If possible, which i’m not sure if it is usually, make it thus this video will probably only play when the tab in which it really is on, is that active tab. I’m new to website development and using dreamweaver cs5, but i’m pretty sure until this will take some kind of coding as post doubt it’s already a part of the dreamweaver application. Help greatly, GREATLY, liked. don’t realize how to do it lisenced users wise, but why don’t you consider having a " major code" at the final of the film the fact that viewer has that will enter to enable the link to the next page, a bit such as on software installations you may also disable controls about the video so the actual viewer can’t lug the progress bar towards end thus accelerating … Continue reading

Cost of Creating E-commerce Site

I prefer how this sites has become my go set to ask dumb questions that we should know by now…… What would be my cost within creating an ecommerce web site with about TWENTY products I never made one before and I just had a phone conversation using a gentleman asking concerning this. That’s a tough someone to answer. Does your buyer already use credit cards service Does your customer have an thought of how to, and how much it is going to cost to use credit cards merchant Then, the actual system. You can employ free ones for instance OSCommerce, CubeCart, or maybe Google. The installation and set-up would be dependent on ones PHP/MySQL skills along with experience. The client might need to learn how to utilize it… Uploading products, photos, handle assignments, inventory, shipping charges, credit-card merchant, while things go erroneous (damage, returns, consumer credit, lost, etc). So the initial up-front cost may very well be $500-$1000. The running costs may very well be $100 per thirty days, or whatever that webhosting and CC product owner costs are on a monthly basis. And, the full-time person that could be administering the online sales. Doing ecommerce is definitely like … Continue reading
