My Site looks REALLY different in IE to firefox.

Hello there. I was hoping someone could possibly help with a dilemma i’m having. I’m aware you will find differences between how IE and FF display webpages but the very few pages I’ve made differ vastly! I’m by far from experienced in web design but I’ve made a few sites recently and never had such results. I’m building a website for my own girlfriends art (which is definitely what i’m focusing on but haven’t obtained it hosted yet) that, when loaded within IE, displays every one of the text to the particular left and completely ignores the type of my div keepers. The same provides happened with a different website I knocked up quickly, its table based compared with divs but it suffers a similar problem as the site i created with regard to my girlfriend. An example of this issue is here (in internet explorer) but its more painful when i make an effort to view the site i’ve made for my GFs art work (which i utilised div tags and also have put more work into coding, cdl. co. uk is rather naff i admit) Might anyone help Cheers in advance! Well, at least anyone admitted your program … Continue reading

Flash Vs. Javascript

What should i learn next. I am wanting to improve my website development skills and know-how base but feel not sure how to start. What do you recommend within your opinion is the more important on the two to learn first. Javascript. You can do more with them, it’s more universally acknowledged by browsers, aging require a wordpress extension, and it’s much easier to tie to a server-side programming language for offers like AJAX. It also doesn’t suck, as opposed to Flash. Haha, point taken. I wants sure on coffee beans scripts limitations. I do like that it is server side without client side. While always thanks again. Javascript is usually client side. It can work with server-side languages, though. Flash can too, but it’s far more limited in this regard. Java Script without a doubt! Java Script it truly is. Started learning many of the basics from w3schools today..

Hi there, I’m tasked with upgrading our company website: http: //www. techniksusa. com… and one of the goals is to develop a site with a user interface regarding updating the content – so as soon as new products are created (or deleted) shots, descriptions, part #’s, or anything else… the UI is usually accessed by any schmoe, and once the updates are built to the dbase or maybe CMS, then the actual website will populate accordingly. That’s the dream anyway. I appreciate any guidance to reference point material or products people think I should take a look at, etc. Please check out there the website link above to see the species of content I am dealing with. With thanks tons, goatbeater55 It depends just what exactly features you’ll be in search of but broadly speaking WordPress is a superb place to begin. It’s very easy to educate yourself admin-wise, has a huge amount of really excellent themes or templates and plugins available as a starting point, and is generally the most used CMS for smallish internet sites. I noticed you’ve got tables on a lot of the product pages. WP doesn’t deal adequately with creating tables out of the box … Continue reading

Why You will be able to stack your header as well as your navbar without challenge. Jquery image gallery – print image? How?

Hello there, definitely picking several brains here! I’m aiming to create a web browser based picture viewer to perform on IIS on my friends machine. i have discovered Jquery plugins, including Galleria. This is new to me but hey, exactly what isn’t This question is: can these galleries be modified to allow a print facility i’d ideally like to print full sized image stored within the hard drive that corresponds into the one being considered. Thanks, Lol In theory, yes, but it would take with the multitude of JQuery and CSS. Concerning not, however, tried this myself. So this really is an educated reckon. What I’m sure you would do is something like this: Code: < div id=" screen-photo" class=" screen-only" > SEVENTY TWO DPI image right here. < /div> < div id=" print-photo" class=" print-only" > 300 DPI or higher resolution image below. < /div> Then your tv screen CSS would look something such as this: Code: div. print-only display: none; Then your art print CSS would look something such as this: Code: div. screen-only display: none; Again, this is the guess. You’ll have for you to guess yourself most likely and experiment until you have it right. It’s … Continue reading

Need help with a Joomla website

Hello there if I’m in the wrong section, had not been sure where to help post this. Anyway I’m planning a webstite for any musician(www. renegadesufi. com). It looks fine in Firefox although it’s cutting off my right selection bar in Internet Explorer(and the bottom half of top page). Any assistance. I used a plan called Artisteer to style the template, operating Joomla 1. 5. Any help a lot appreciated. IE8 appears to be fine. Which internet explorer version are you describing There’s a right sidebar that’s completely missing with IE that’s generally there in FF. I’ll see what he’s preaching about. The issue I see from the top is until this particular page ended up being copied/pasted from what appears to be Microsoft Word, and the code/formatting for Word is possibly interfering because of this. If you’re planning to copy/paste from Phrase, you need to be able to copy/paste into an editor (e. gary the gadget guy. CKEditor) that incorporates a Word-specific copy/paste functionality. If you do not, the code generated shall be an absolute mess, which is what you will have here. I don’t know if this is what the problem is, but i can’t get past the … Continue reading
