help designing tutorial pages

hi there,

I hope that this can be a right forum to be able to post in, and that this is possibly appropriate, but I’m kind of serious here. anyone no one can provide any assistance or volunteering with the following, I’d truly appreciate.

I’m writing a programming tutorial education, about C++ lisenced users. Now this is planned in the form of fairly long tutorial. but here is definitely my problem:

the tutorial could have entire pages that will itself, its unlike a submitted guide or anything. simply just all html web pages. however, I’m shutter, and so to receive the right colouring, images, fonts, or anything else, is impossible unless I’ve someone else assist me. So, what I might really like is someone who, after I finish a chapter, I can just send in the page as a attachment, and you’ll edit that article, add the necessary circumstances to make it glimpse nice, and just send it to me. I’d have it in a standard html form, but you would must add what people think would be needed to make it appear ok. I would certainly add headings, sentences, linebreaks, etc, but with styles or perhaps css etc, I just now can’t.

I" m posting this message on the few forums, so anyone who seem to replies I can’t guarantee they would get this place, but if you’re alone to reply, subsequently… but if you reply to that or email me personally, or whatever, please just inform me what you can do with this for making it as nice as it can be. I can’t offer you pay or something, but I generally offer you that I will put credits inside the tutorial and say you were responsible for the structure, and I can chek out your site from my own ring.

thanks for every help

Brandon

you need to use flash for fine tutorials authoring…

hi there,

With thanks, but I’m seeking more for someone to aid me with the planning, rather than us using certain applications. I’m not too familiar with flash, but as MY PARTNER AND I said I’m blind so if it has anything to do with graphics or anything that adheres to that, I can’t do it. believe me merely could see It’s safe to go right in advance and do my own design.

Brandon

check http: //www. w3schools. com

see how design them you can place just screen shot there or even place there codes as well as some samples of it also

dotcommakers, READ HIS POST. Your dog said he has been blind, therefore (and POST quote) " therefore to get the right color, images, fonts, or anything else, is impossible". Please stop posting completely irrelevant posts to this thread!

hi there,

Thanks in your help. I was pleased this morning when i woke up, on the other hand, to find two offers to support me out using this. but thanks anyway!

Brandon

For a completely random edge note, may I consult what screen reader software you employ and how effectively it works intended for WDF (or at the least web pages within general)

filburt1,

The program is called LIPS, not sure exactly what the acronym represents. It does a good job with studying pages, well about internet explorer, in any case. I tried mozilla after, and that wasa nightmare. The only problem it’s is when I work with a program which is extremely graphically oriented. It’s got no problems along with tabs, tree landscapes, etc, in products, but when you’ll find graphics with very little text on these, it is hard to make use of the program. But for your web, it can be quite good. With photos, it uses the actual alternative text on the image and says something like:

video: image

should the alternative text mentioned image. it also reveals when there may be a table, list, update field, frame, and loads of those things. The only poor thing is whenever there is some kind of flash on that screen, and the idea keeps refreshing. then the program goes all the way back to the top of the page and I have to find my position again.

and since a final please note, one more practical thing is some of its commands to visit to the next paragraph of the page, go towards next non-link text, go to the next similar element, go to the next as well as previous edit discipline, etc. helps me to move around a lot faster.

Brandon,

I must say this can be a very interesting opportunity for most of us here at WDF, because as web-site designers, we rarely get a chance to hear from web-savvy those that have visual impairment. Hence, I’d like to adopt the opportunity to be able to ask you some questions, if MY SPOUSE AND I may, and concurrently, perhaps offer quite a few suggestions for you when it comes to colors and this sort of.

Some questions in connection with web design specific to the visually impaired:

  1. What in your perception is a superb web design
  2. How important are alt tags to be able to you
  3. Does your viewer relate EVERY image to you personally or only images greater than a specified size
  4. Are header aspects split into heirarchical areas, and if thus, how helpful are they
  5. Does flash get read by any means, and how a great deal does integrated music in flash obstruct your reader
  6. Do iframes or maybe divs (if you already know what they are) trigger any issues intended for you

Now I’ve some suggestions that I’d like to make concerning " visual design". I’m glad that you’re a programmer, because I could talk to you rather technically without the requirement to try for you to explain myself. Posting visual-spatial learner, it is certainly difficult for me to explain personally except visually.

These days then, being shutter, I am aware that you probably have little if any concept of video or graphic perception of forms and colors, but as a programmer I do believe I might be able to make some suggestions for you that would provide you with some rudimentary ability in design.

Let’s begin with color. I’m relatively certain that you use color into a degree in the work, even if it’s only text. I assume that you primarily use " black" wording on " white" backdrop. Well, there are some things you can learn with take care to color which can be independant of the decision to actually observe the colors. Assuming that you will be familiar with Hexadecimal / RGB shade definitions, I think I could assist you in learning the aspects of color hue, temperature, saturation, and contrast, and use them effectively as part of your design work. It’d certainly be fun for me to try!

For shape and per cent, I am guaranteed you associate tactile forms, e. g. a table, with minimal shapes, e. h. a rectangle, right Well in regards to visual design, mainly HTML, I think it would be possible to give you a good impression of what you happen to be creating. The reason is that HTML is more on the logical than graphical system tool. If you keep with tables, you can essentially create a logical grid of rectangles that will compose your entire page. Although you won’t be able to see if you will have an error, I am positive that you may learn to script visible interfaces with marginal assistance. Because mainly every HTML factor is rectangular, you’ll be able to pretty much learn to create visual interfaces using mathematics. It’s just some sort of matter of trial and error to understand which proportions work best for you.

Concerning graphical design, mainly Flash design, I think you could be interested in learning about SVG. SVG is really a new technology that duplicates the power of Flash, but within a scripted fashion, much like HTML. You might would like learning how to compose graphical factors and interfaces using SVG, as it gives you the ability to represent your thoughts graphically even if you can’t really notice what you’re doing. This also could create for an helpful artistic endeavor when it comes to societal importance. An individual, as a blind man, being capable of represent yourself how it looks, could possibly crank out a deeper knowledge of how you respond to objects and spatial entities for all those of us who seem to take vision regarding granted.

I know this thread is most likely tedious that you respond to within succession. Please don’t feel a must answer it that way.

hi,

A person’s ideas are totally brilliant! Let myself answer your concerns first, then I will respond to the remainder.

  1. What in your perception is a superb web design

What a difficult question. But below are a few things which ensure it is easier for me to get around:

I am very little for a lot of links before the leading text starts. I like far more that maybe there are many navigational links, then the text. Among something that Make don’t like is what are the results with the faq on about. com. Among something that just isn’t too bad will be php. net.
It is easier for me when there is a header around the page, which kicks off the main text message. Why Because I could quickly get to the first header by simply pressing h about my keyboard. Around my view, a document that has headers before each portion of text is preferable to not having any headers.
upon forums, the design is definitely very important. A simple design is usually one of the best for me, using the messages in some sort of table like most forums are.
Also, and my perfect probability to voice this. WE Absolutely Hate Reliability Codes! You learn, those things you must type in to register for some thing. I always have got to call someone else directly into read the code personally. And especially those people on php_nuke websites after you login I dear never to clear my cookies. That’s why MY PARTNER AND I disabled security rules on login on my own php_nuke site.

  2. How important are alt tags to be able to you

To get the purpose of the image across in my experience, the alt tag better be than: " image1". They’re very important for my idea of the image.

  3. Does your viewer relate EVERY image to you personally or only images greater than a specified size

it relates all images as long as they have a good alt tag. should the image is your link, and this doesn’t happen have an alt licence plate, then it states the image’s address because link text.

  4. Are header aspects split into heirarch
