Hello there,
Im building a site for a client they usually want to integrate your website with their service provider account, I think I will do this however as I havent carried out it before I would like to know if there are any problems I might run into or any key facts that I have to know before WE beging.
Would it be simply a circumstance of passing certain variables into the merchant account website in case so what languages are generally used for this
If anyone can point me to some guide that runs from the basics Id regards.
I’m sure the merchant account they want to use runs to the ClearCommerce engine.
Thanks,
Whichever mastercard merchant they pick out, will have (or must have) a page
of PHP scripting suggestions for developers. It will explain and present examples of
the right way to integrate your site with theirs… IPN, transaction, etc.
You’ve got two modes connected with operation, you’ll need to choose one:
1) SIM – simple integration mode… like Paypal, where you may not have
your secure server, and so the user leaves your blog when they get into their CC information.
You simply send the merchant decorative accessories, quantity and rates. After the
transaction, the merchant earnings back some standing on how it went.
2) INTENT – advanced integration method… this is where you do have a secure server,
and all CC details and user details is stored with your site (in a database). Your site
could well be HTTPS instead connected with HTTP, and the small lock appears within the browser status club.
Information is passed securely as well as transaction appears seamless.
Can some research by using ClearCommerce on how it works, and avoid getting afraid to
call them and get them explain this modes of functioning. Having an SSL or secure
node costs extra cash.
Thanks mate thats truly usefull and provides given me more confidence about this.
