My organization is talking about embedded fonts implementing that MS Weft matter. Somebody My organization is working with has requested that we use an unorthadox font for any site content. We’ve a few queries: Will it be reliable (cross-browser compatible) Precisely what your opinions Could you do it Thanks for just about any input. From what I recognize, not all fonts is usually embeded, so you first have to be sure that the font he wants can be converted. Also, there are acctually two solutions to embed fonts, 1 for IE, 1 for Netscape. Because of, what is imo, quite a poor implimentation on the very simple idea (a monkey perhaps have done it superior! font-family: url(‘*. ttf’); thats them! really hard… ) We would not do that. However, I believe if you aim to embed the font, plus it fails, it continue to degrades nicley. Consequently, if your client really wants it, explain that it doesn’t work in all browsers, but practice it, and design the website knowing that it might always be viewed in the actual ‘second-choice’ font. Mass Inserting images

Ok basically We have over 1000 smileys I want to host on my website and call it quits over a handful of pages sorted alphabetically. Obviosly this may be a very time consuming quest manually so i’m looking for methods to batch do the idea. I had thinking about splitting the smileys directly into about 4 numerous folders sorted alphabetically post. e. A-G in folder1 in addition to H-P in folder2 etc ., and then with all the batch function with Photoshop to throw all of these books on the exact same webpage with now there filenames inorder. So then I would have a few webpages with the smilies sorted and spanned on the few pages. But Photoshop doesnt seem to like the cartoon ones so presently there goes that thought! ASP Vs PHP

I’m with the stage now where We would like to choose which will server-side scripting technology I will use from today on. I can be interested if most of you could allow your/link to beliefs or articles with regards to which language you should recommend. Cheers, Ali I have recently moved over to PHP from ASP. I prefer ASP because language structure is very much more sensible to me. The problem is always that it is harder to locate hosts. ASP. NET looks great though so perhaps worth investigating. I have tried using both but my partner and i kinda lean in direction of PHP for the belief that i like mysql alot as well as two of these individuals work great together PHP makes use of more standard format and has more affordable hosting available. ASP can be slowly being phased available, with the recently available introduction of Microsoft windows Server 2003 (which can certainly host ASP. NET). Match PHP for now. So, heres my circumstance: Think about I have SQL repository with schedules and stuff inside it. And let’s say a schedule is delinquent, but instead with logging onto my how do people find this available, I’d rather recieve an e mail about it. Will there be a program I’ll create on that server side that will allow the server to evaluate my schedules automatically and pinpoint which schedule is overdue and electronic mail me about the infromation I was told that Java Trade will please let me place a program onto the server that may automatically do this with luck, but I’m undecided….
