Two questions with the fine people with WDF that halt long enough to help care –
A SINGLE. Do you think I should stick with the old design (http: //fmd. port5. com) or develop the modern one, ignore the particular header though (http: //fmd. port5. com/Redesigns) (working for the domain soon – promise: -D)
3. Firefox users you will have spotted this already – how one can get the boxes to fall into line with the header (there’s something wrong while using CSS I think) http: //fmd. port5. com/Redesigns/ )
I dont just like the gray background upon #1, but usually it looks far better IMO. The second design is a superb concept, but I hate the nav, or along with scheme. The banner has lots of bright colors, and the other site is shades of blue. I think a balance must be struck. Also, I hate the font styles utilized in the nav, and the " fresh… " headings can be a little too huge IMO.
Simply my 2 pence worth.
Thanks with the feedback Spluf, you’ve reinforced a few things that have been niggling me regarding the second design. I think I will change the over the top and do a bit more work on the particular colour scheme.
Almost every other comments/solutions will often be greatly received
Agreeing together with splufdaddy, I develop the following to include:
I do think you have an excessive amount content on your home page, splitting the different items up into pages and adding them in your services page, leaving your internet site just for an introduction would have been a better idea in my honest impression. I prefer the best overall, though you’ve got a few rendering troubles in Firefox. (Background colours definitely not showing through for instance. )
Reduce the sign up the navbar, this looks stupid. As opposed to using ‘our vision’, ‘the portfolio’ and so on keep it brief & sweet… eyesight, portfolio, services, contact. It’s clearer to read this way and the appended words at the front don’t really reveal any other useful information.
Your primary title comes away from as abit clumbsy, try scaling the item down and aligning it with a corner, leave it along with sufficient margin space about the edge.
I’m keen the font used with the title, but I still can’t determine what the a pair of triangular characters usually are, atleast not quickly. An ‘a’ in studios and the first one I gather can be a ‘d’ from reading your sig. Effort men and women aren’t going to prefer to place in interpreting your own name.
Linear form can look definitely boring, experiment having styling, positioning, spacing and also alignment… I’ve attached an illustration to illustrate what i mean, ignore the font but observe anything else.
Thanks Trico and Justlivyalife with the feedback. I think I may have accidentally typed an ‘A’ inside Studios – though the logo’s going to become revamped anyway. Oh well I’ll make sure to do some work with it later this evening.
