Selling Links on website
I have been previously toying with the idea of selling text hyperlinks on my web site. The idea usually someone pays one to link to their website for any set period (usually some sort of month). I’ve found quite a few websites where We can " auction" the links, so marketing the spaces shouldn’t be too much of the problem. Even so, I want to determine what the thoughts about this are in basic. On some sites, there are doomsday-type safety measures that Google can block () the actual pages’ PR status. Any comments about this is appreciated — specially since I never have seen anything about it on WDF. Kind regards! The whole concept of " selling" buttons is nothing brand new. It’s the just like any banner advertising or Google AdSense url or anything of this nature. I’m unclear what warnings you will be " seeing", but as your spider-based search engine it could be somewhat difficult for Google to penalize a web site for selling reported links unless it was done in a " link-farm-style" scenario where sites put up for sale their links at a links page and go following that. Mind you, the whole concept … Continue reading

IP Recording
i have a question, is there anyway you are able to put a coffee applet or something on the webpage so it automatically records the actual visitor’s ip plus emails it in my experience or stores the idea somewhere for me to access and find out who went about it. Simply no need. Talk towards your host, they probably include stat software on the site that already logs IPs and stuff like that. Should be capable to pull the info up with the backend somewhere.
Designing a new site
Hi there, I’ve received a few advice about our site over inside " How’s the site" forum, and I’ve determined that now My goal is to totally start again with my style. As well to be a new design, I’m also intending to change your technical backend associated with my site and write a kind of CMS. In any case, I have created a fresh navbar (see website link in sig) and a new logo (attached). Any comments in these and suggestions on the design would always be welcome. dude oh man. the following we go again! That other thread of yours had been pretty big!: common: Good luck with the rewrite! Ill post the useful comments sooner or later…. hmm this logo is really decent; theres nothing really wrong by using it. As for your nav.. it demands some work. It seems as if you used Xara or another program to make it (no offense). Another thing is the fact that bevels are one of the abbused affects people used in webdesign (along area gradients). Bevels in proportion(sp) seems ok but an excess of can completly ruin an online site design or in this case its navigation. I recomend … Continue reading
Real-Time Updates as Calendar Dates are Purchased
I need to take a new weekend crash course on working with a calendar of available slots one and a equivalent database updated every time a slot is acquired. The customer are going to be using a Digg! Merchant Starter package, which will allow the credit-based card purchases, but that doesn’t support real-time updating of external directories, so it seems like that’s all at me. Google! supports PHP & Perl scripting; MySQL databases. What is the best solution with this It’s a not one but two way street, appropriate, so I need an answer for updating the DB when the credit card is confirmed, and I as well need the appointments to properly load there are various DB each time period the page loads. (The DB can be so simple, I really could even imagine working with a text file, but maybe that is certainly just my comfort and ease zone… ) So a little simple explanation / viewpoint of what know-how I should utilize, that would possibly be great, and as well, any book suggestions can be much appreciated. Also yeah, links to free of charge scripts that may fit the bill, that would possibly be very nice, very. … Continue reading

im making a small blog
heya everyone, im making a blog that i’m going to update weekly i truly only want it to remain simple i’ve simply made this bit so far – blog. aesthetic-design. corp. uk obviously its lacking quite some images and is merely a very primary starting layout but im stuck regarding where to go after that, any advice could be appreciated! You’re likely to need to make use of a server-side language this sort of as PHP or perhaps Perl. Most likely a database such as MySQL. Subsequently, you’ll need to know how to program in the particular language you decide on. It will be a lot of work, but it appears like you want for making your own instead of using a no cost one like Wetpaint. Are you in search of advice as into the design or regarding the backend more inside design area All right. I can’t truly help much generally there, but I wanted to clear it ” up ” for others On the link you’ve submitted, I think the chief problem is this nothing lines upwards properly in Firefox. It appears as if the page was made solely for viewing in IE7 (where the particular layout … Continue reading

what is web design and web development ?
we are relatively new to website development and never was clear regarding the difference between web page design and web growth, can anybody help me using this thanks greatly, changintimes, webmaker Don’t quote me for this but I’d say not a whole lot. Web design is really a subset of online development, focusing within the appearance of a website. Web dev on the other hand encompasses all the aspects of building a webpage: appearance, structure and content. my spouse and i guess web dev furthermore encompasses SEO, am i allowed to do web dev in addition to order out with regard to SEO and content isn’t the usual way I’d say net development is more making a design happen with content and any backend that needs to be implemented, while web site design is exclusively that visual aspect. Yet really, I listen to them used interchangeably. Contracted. Design == image, development == dependable. However, both need expertise in the other in order to work. You can’t have a designer who won’t know the disadvantages of XHTML as well as CSS, nor can you do have a developer who doesn’t understand generate a good-looking web-site. I believe Shadowfiend. SEO (if you’d … Continue reading

Howdy, I make several budget websites that require basic CMS ability so the clients can certainly alter small parts of text and also add links. As most are budget sites, that hosting I obtain for them doesnt own any databases included. I make most of these user updateable by using php and writing the information to a txt document then display that text file in the appropriate section belonging to the website. In the backend you will discover input boxes where the user can enter the brand new info which after that gets written to be able to these text data files. my question is; is there any WYSIWYG editors i always can embed in the backend of the sites that will give the customer more control belonging to the txt What I want is a box much like the one Im inputting this message within icons that the person can click onto change the fonts in addition to add hyperlinks and also such. At the moment in the event the user wants bold text they have to add the < strong> tags themselves whereas it might be much easier pertaining to them to just click a strong icon. Is there an app for managing upcoming events/shows?
We are making a web site for someone who needs to post club situations that their company promotes. I need the person youngster should be log into your backend and place new events so that they get added to some list that underlines next to the expanded view with the latest post (kind of like a blog). Most current post with graphic and event story. Set of clickable event bands with dates. Should you click on you, it shows up in the Left column, replacing the most recent one. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I hope there is a pre-made application we can just plug into the existing layout Can be your existing layout a static web page (or something including WordPress) Quite simply, you manually update the page when it ought to be changed yes this is a static web article that otherwise I will manually change I have no idea of any pre-made applications (that wouldn’t normally require customizing)… How much did you know about PHP (and/or MySQL) Oh – We are definitely ready to help customize. So far my personal best option is apparently taking a web log app and stripping out each of the features … Continue reading
