Help! Choosing a Web Design Course

Hi, this can be my first time about this site. I’ve been contemplating getting into web development and development for some time now, to have for extra skill. I just don’t know where to start with. One course I am look at is one from Rutgers University: https: //rutgers. catalog. cerkit. rutge… e/display/6044 I just do not know really if this is what I should be seeking or this can give me the training i always need to break into the field. Any help or guidance would be great, thanks. Advert someone who appeared to be taught Dreamweaver and also Flash in this college course in web technologies, my advice to you is to run away from this you. It seems being more a course on the right way to use specific software in lieu of a course about web development and design. There are SEVEN modules on Pen and another SIX on Dreamweaver – most are the two most-expensive in addition to least-used software programs I own. If you’re gonna spend several grand on learning how to begin this, spend it at learning the languages (PHP, MySQL, javascript,. ASP. NET – that almost thing), not particular and very constraining … Continue reading

Help with Browser Compatibility!!

Good day, MY SPOUSE AND I designed and made a theme with regard to my WordPress website/blog applying Dreamweaver. Since I uploaded the positioning to the dwell server yesterday, I’ve noticed several browser compatibility issues created and have no clue how to correct them. I’ve changed a number of the CSS code around hoping to solve the problem that way, but nothing seems to be effective. The best site until now is Firefox; I’ve truly noticed little in order to no glitches. Internet explorer, however, is a different story. It appears that whenever WE zoom the page above 100%, my right sidebar moves to the left forcing the primary content div to go down. Another problem We have noticed on a few other browsers is that a number of the text in this content div moves slightly on the left underneath my own left sidebar, suitable where that sidebar div label ends. I have no idea why this is actually happening and would love some input on easy methods to fix this. Let me know if you’re more dedicated posting the CSS right here would help, though it’s from the site’s source signal. Any assistance will be HUGELY appreciated!! The … Continue reading

CSS Q involving javascript iframe autoresizing..

hi everyone im trying out something i read here, about the right way to autoresize an iframe to fit content hosted on the different server: http: //css-tricks. com/cross-domain-iframe-resizing/ the following is my test internet page, it’s a wp internet site: http: //winninghealthsolutions. com/test-iframe-autoresize/ (I employ css-tricks. com’s example with the page inside the particular iframe – it’s really a bit jerky, what i really want in there probably will not constantly changing size on a regular basis, it will merely change size with new page load) since you can see (im exploring on ff) that containing box doesn’t offer the iframe when the idea resizes. because it is a wp theme i sourced its more difficult for me to work what the solution may very well be (ive struggled having similar on static sites even) can someone direct me to some resource or something to show me/give me a clue how to make that content box support the iframe properly Gives thanks v much Is it possible to describe why that you’re using an iframe Perhaps the information you increasingly becoming from the " various other server" might be something in an RSS feed Ethics can be in question as … Continue reading

Index page

Next time i try find my site (http: //pltoneinjector. site11. com) along with Google, it would not find it. I’m sure a clue towards the problem is that once i type the full address in the address bar, it travels to an " Index" page first where you possibly can select from your pages. The " Index" web site doesn’t have just about any tags on that, and I do not know why it appears as opposed to the one I created when using the HTML file MY SPOUSE AND I made. How will i stop that from happening Could it be caused by the webhost service we chose It’s a no cost one. George Whatever page you should be your site, should be known as index. html. It looks like you have just one page called obrien135. web coding and that is renamed index. html if that’s your home internet page. #1. each hosting provider sets their web sites to list JUST ONE of several names as being the " main" web site for folders with their servers… some people inculde ( directory. html, index. htm, index. php ( in the event that supported ), index. asp, default. asp … Continue reading

I need to quickly register a domain name

I had been thinking of < removed> because many of the others are used. Is. org specific in any way That will I register a domain free of charge I googled that, but I don’t trust the vast majority of sites. Free: No. An individual register. org the same as. com and. online. Okay… George — I use Netfirms, which can be now a Tucows website provider – I like the Tucows assurance, and the domains will not be expensive – $7. 99 US annually. I’ve looked, and that. com belongs to a designer, and it is current – I don’t believe they’ll be presenting it up every time soon. Also, you don’t really want people finding another designer by mistake if they are trying to find you – typing directly into. com automatically rather than. org is the same thing. The potential client may likely not clue in to the fact that gdesign. com isn’t you and you’d probably lose business to help them. When you can find a variant in the name that will take a. com off shoot, I think it could be a tad greater than. org – as I realize it,. org began being for … Continue reading

If I can a general search with several of my basic keyword phrases my website is fairly easily found but the search engines do not chose the specific items We’ve listed. We sell off goods for antique interiors, all authentic retro items so most people generally would only have one of each one item. If by way of example I list the " 19th century roses watercolour painting" and I do a web search for those people specific words, the search engines will never locate it. I beleive it can be something to do with only the best level pages being seen by the various search engines but how must i change that Any advice appreciated. Thank you.
