What are my options?
Sorry to the extremely vague and noobish post, but where must begin I have a couple of sites i wish to streamline. basically seperate my personal data from the structure, and my personal structure from the design. At first we were certain that the perfect marriage would provide html + css + xml. How wrong we were! Said streamlining could involved using HTML to view a basic xml file for those of my website’s data (news, updates, so forth). Little did i know at that time, mozilla does not really support data islands, and thusly the idea was taken all to heck (as 50% and up of my viewing audience will be mozilla/netscape users). Really the only solutions i have realized have involved javascript hacks and extremely sophisticated XSL processors that appear to nullify the first intention of always keeping my sites straightforward to update. I just want to update a text(or whatever) record, then upload them to my site. This is a tremendously simple sounding trouble, and coming at a programming world, i can’t comprehend why it isnt simpler to accomplish. Therefore, before i draw what little hair relating to left out, i found yourself in you, readers with … Continue reading

Creating Scrollbars?
How do i create scrollbars inside the cell of some sort of table in Dreamweaver (HTML) (If important, the more standard question would be how do i create scrollbars) Is there any way to change the look of scrollbars So by way of example, if I design a site that’s primarily red-colored, can I change the design to match the red color structure Last but not least, if I wish to make " custom" scrollbars like the ones on this url… (sorry, this was a common reference that I could think of for what I’m chatting about) internet. greenday. com … would I must use flash Thanks to your help!!! Of the best ways to have normal windows scroll bars is to use either a new iFrame, or a DIV while using overflow property arranged to ‘scroll’. It is possible to change the colour off the bars using CSS, yet this only succeeds in Internet Explorer, Firefox just simply ignores the CSS and also displays in standard colours. You can even make scrolling DIVs utilizing some clever JavaScript, though it may not be easy. visit this web site: http: //www. dyn-web. com Provides a free script which may help. I’ve … Continue reading

Designing for mobile browsers
Well I have been previously thinking about the long run a bit with regards to mobile browsers and how they’re becoming more popular in people’s day to day lives, and still, the PC will still be around for as a minimum another 10 several years. With these thoughts planned, web designers need to satisfy both storage devices types over this time period, if certainly not longer. (I do use a question coming! ) Now I myself never have put any energy into supplying the css sheet with regard to " handhelds" in my sites, but lately We’ve been reconsidering, since basically I need that will! So on on the search engine MY SPOUSE AND I went. Gee, it’s actually not so simple as we basically face identical monotonous problem we’ve found with screen advertising, which is cross-browser if it is compatible!!!. From what I can see, it’s about to be another nightmare whenever they don’t get some standards choosing the hundreds associated with mobile browsers which will be clogging the world wide web. God help individuals! Our question: What on earth do you currently do to guide mobile devices using your sites From what I am aware, media=" handheld" just … Continue reading
