Do you design with CSS or Tables?

That post got my family thinking. I was wondering how many people here however use tables thus to their webpages Tables or CSS Just what exactly say you MY SPOUSE AND I don’t design together with tables. I use CSS for those visual aspects regarding my websites. Easily am starting by myself site where I’ve complete control covering the markup, I employ CSS entirely. Easily am designing regarding vBulletin (a hint with the future ), then I try to write CSS in which modifies the markup without changing the markup unless necessary. vBulletin uses tables everywhere, that is very frustrating throughout designing sites. Moreover, it uses conference tables when tabular data seriously isn’t even used. i use tables for just one good reason. ive simply been makin web sites for about ONLY TWO. 5 years today i dont learn anything but HTML and tips on how to read Java and also PHP. i havent touched CSS yet CSS. The reason why A) it will allow better control; B) it’s the future, so better get on board sooner rather compared to later; C) it’s " new": Patient desigining sites to get over 4 decades, but only not too long ago moved … Continue reading

Mailing Lists

Hello Everyone, In Image Ready/Photoshop I designed a very simple html/javascript pop-up for your mailing list… It only provides an input domain for an email address including a submit button. My issue is always that I don’t know how to power up it. My coordinator is Dreamhost whenever that helps. I don’t even know how to start! Any advice Bless you! So.. they enter their particular email address and you email the users who may have entered their e-mail address You need a server side language (if you intend to do it automatically). Regardless you would like a server side treatment for save the address. Do you know ASP Or PHP And also does your particular allow databases … Uh, am I in about my head Sure, all I want is good for people kid enter their electronic mail address and me be capable to send group messages to them along with ongoing news. Preferably, that process are going to be as streamlined as they can but now I suppose my philosophy is the fact " beggers can not be choosers"… so I’ll negotiate with any way that can make this idea work. I need ideas of anything about ASP … Continue reading

MS Office Live websites

MICROSOFT Office Live, which I am some sort of beta member, is known for a free website and website name. The idea sucks. I listed with http: //www. alanhogan. net/ plus its just an hideous 1999 template wizard that you just run in your browser. Really. I used software this way half a decades ago. I also couldn’t see any selections to post HTML PAGE or other files that i actually created, with the exception you could upload images. Don’t jump for this horrendously crappy providing from Microsoft. Live Mail is utterly worthless, especially in Firefox. There’s not even a check many checkbox when viewing a folder. Now some other Microsoft beta programs that I am a member far more significant than Stay Mail, those are nice. Some programs specifically are monumental advancements over their good old versions, although it’s eerie to get Microsoft call me following on bug reports. they actually call your own home For among the dozen or consequently bugs I submitted.

Stationary Navigation Bar Help

Good, I’m an second time beginners wedesigner and I am using Microsoft Frontpage with the last few decades. I know basic HTML and steps to make decent sites having Frontpage. For the top time I’ve been trying to get a decent map-reading bar up which stays put when you browse through various other pages. I was looking at other sites, and I found just what I’ve been wanting to create on that page. http: //www. bowserbasher. com/index. php The guy states he used Dreamweaver in addition to CSS and PHP. Fundamentally, it looks like he can edit just one page and the navigation bar will probably automatically be current onto every internet page of his site. So, my question is actually, how can WHEN I recreate what he has been done Can that be done by using Frontpage If another person could explain it in my opinion I’d be grateful. I’ve never applied CSS before so I needs to read some novice tutorials. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, -SuperBanjo To begin with, Frontpage is rubbish. It doesn’t (to my own knowledge) support CSS, and generates a variety of unnecessary code. So, my first suggestion will be to … Continue reading

.HT Files – Tool To Make Templates Even Easier To Use, Sites More Maintainable

Hi, all, just an FYI about a new tool (Creative Commons licensed). I’ve used HTML/CSS themes for sites for decades, and love these individuals, BUT have been frustrated on the redundant effort involved with setting up along with maintaining the websites. Changing the map-reading when it’s embedded throughout every page, or adding an advertising banner, so countless little changes necessitate editing every report. Not my pot of tea… so I wrote a tool to keep web site template themes as well as the content. I’ve used this for decades now and like it. Saved me hundreds or else thousands of hours. (Not to refer to much easier overall than trying to merge custom rule with Drupal/etc. ) What exactly I do is usually use ". HT" information.. HT is your file type this combines the template at run moment, like a CMS might do, but which have no hooks inside that content pages. None of them. They’re 100% distinctive page content. It ‘s sort of like how a new. css file moves styles to one place — but this may it for that template’s HTML. This particular link– http: //tech-soft. com/ht — details what Used to do and how one … Continue reading
