Creating Store and More
Hi fellas, I’m new into the forums so I need to start of by means of saying hi! I came here because I have a project which i want to full. I have some basic understanding with websites along with design, but next to nothing too technical. What I’m opting for is creating an internet site for a regional store. It needs to have a news section for the main page, for update specifics of the store, brand-new products, etc. But it will need a new fully functional store. It will have categories of different items, pics, prices, a checkout program, all that great stuff. Various other then that, it really wont need anything besides the basics say for example contact form, in relation to page, etc. Hence my question is actually, where should POST start! I curently have the domain name registered, and web hosting. Thanks beforehand, -Tanner If you are lucky, you’ve picked a webhost that has a thing called " fantastico". What that can is automatically purchase a PHP/MySQL script like CubeCart or OSCommerce. Those are generally fully functional looking cart systems (free in order to use). They handle the entire user’s shopping cart purchases, inventory, and … Continue reading

target the wrong directory???
I have targeted the drastically wrong directory for the images. For example, my domain can be chueh. com. I uploaded all of the images under chueh. com. All of them show up which have no problems. Let’s employ house. jpg as one of many pictures. I loaded house. jpg for a second time under " living" subdirectory (chueh. com/living/house. jpg)………….. Here comes the challenge.. WHEN I tried both img src=" www. chueh. com/living/house. jpg" and also img src=" house hold. jpg" as code within the page. Neither advisors works…… I could upload all of the images again under the subdirectory " dwelling, " and img src=" house hold. jpg" will absolutely work. However, not simply does it good stupid and repetitive, but also takes in extra spcae. What will i solve the problem Thanks Take a look at the source of your page src=" living/house. jpg" need to work. Thanks very much.

The Very Basics
To begin with let me say i always have absolutely zero idea what I am doing. So, in an try to educate myself, I am asking for the basics of just what goes into building an online site. I have sifted even though countless pages along with guides (for almost a year now) and legitimately, none of them dumb it down enough for me. So if any of you can point me in the right direction it might be much appreciated. The site I hope to create: – The chief function will any directory of organisations. Each business would have any brief profile site with basic facts on it, links with their own websites, for example. The directory needs to be easily updated and lastly it needs for being easily searched. – The next function would be news articles etc which would need to be archived, searchable, you obtain the idea. – Site needs to include a community forum, like this one particular, and all that associated member registration, posts, etc. that has an forum. – As you move design of coursesmart can be because technically difficult as anything, once it’s made affiliates who will end up being providing the … Continue reading
Images versus site speed.
We have a question regarding images and site speed. What I am wondering about are these claims. Would it be better to stay my web site images of their " images" folder and chek out them from the root of my sector. Or, would it be better/faster only store them on a seperate hosting provider and chek out them there. Any input is prized. Many thanks, _____________________ web page design usa ecommerce website design Iowa More quickly to host these people yourself and employ Relative Path. Case in point, store all of one’s images in the directory called " images". Complete Path: < img src=" http: //www. mysite. com/images/mylogo. gif" /> Comparable Path: < img src=" images/mylogo. gif" /> Why would you think they would fill faster Unless ones running your server as part of your basement putting your images in the remote location is not advisable. You’d be adding another point connected with failure. If the remote computer repair server is offline you could have no images plus your website is crippled. Keep with the local /images folder on your server.
image’s name is on the image
Hi, I’m designing an affiliate site using Photoshop along with SiteGrinder. It’s for by myself company. I figure by working this way, I will get the venture done, and know from what SG builds. Anyway, I just added in an image for the live site, fine-tuned it’s position, and so on., but the picture’s brand, daves-limo, is in tiny black print around the picture. Not popping-up, simply there. How did I do that, and how must i change it As well, I was reading the directory " don’ts" ahead of I posted. My own site’s background is definitely black. If WHEN I shouldn’t use bright text on ebony, what would everyone suggest Uniform bright text boxes to hold black text I will try it and see what it seems like. Gives thanks. How about implementing PHP GD to actually put text directly for the photo… as section of the image by itself (like a watermark) Present us a link to your site, together with the photo it is in place and I’ll explain to you an example. I’m sorry. I think WE phrased my question wrong. I’m new to the forum and also new to doing any website design. The … Continue reading

Image in Web pages
i will be new to online development… would like to know that how i will add thumbnail image in website page.. and when someone mouse click on that thumbnail them get enlarge… You’ve got two images, one thumb and one fullsize. Oftentimes, people put a _t around the thumb: mypic. jpg mypic_t. jpg < your href=" mypic. jpg" > < img src=" mypic_t" alt=" This Pic" title=" This Pic" /> < /a> It sports a blue " link" border surrounding the image, so you may remove that too, a number of ways… Inside the < head> sections: < style> img line: 0; < /style> Inline technique: < your href=" mypic. jpg" > < img src=" mypic_t" alt=" This Pic" title=" This Pic" border=" 0" /> < /a> i need to upload 2 graphics… 1 for thumbnail along with for enlarge…. That’s correct. The filenames is the same if you employ 2 directories, or different filenames when they reside in the same directory (your choice).

Take care about any change inside the website content. if you change the content, you might turn out, changing some essential keywords or significant phrases with which usually visitors normally find your blog, This may end in decline in coursesmart popularity, drop with PR, traffic in due course to add onto which i think with any re-design you’d like to to improve your blog post. So use a person’s analytics (assuming you’ve got them) to discover which keywords are earning your traffic and be sure to include them within the redesign… also associated with you are like the same amount of content with the users that will pursue to generate your pageviews. Question about templates !
I will be a novice developer with Dreamweaver CS3. My parents have asked plainly can design them an effective website for the mail order organization. Nothing too flash or extraordinary, it is mainly aimed towards those over age 50 (it is approximately 50s and 60s acoustic guitar based bands) so simplicity is useful rather than great features. I can design and style basic websites, you are aware of, frames, graphics, switches, etc with Dreamweaver. So if it truly is simple then I will do it, just don’t require me about display and CSS or even any code unless it truly is written down to me to follow. And so the question I am after knowing the right formula to is we have seen a template I like, for the respectful fee, and them looks good. But how will I implement it truly is it something someone with my basic skills could must i will link on the template below. I only want to have a template i can edit that will my needs, as opposed to be stuck having generic pics plus such like. I can have lots involving band CD covers to feature and info that adheres to that, … Continue reading
