bots: php or java?

I had been wondering what language you had to program bots (the elements that crawl online ex: for lookup engines) could you system one in php or would you might want to do it in java (C maybe) Not at all C. If you’re any rebel (and have excessive free time), probably C++. If it is really something simple, PHP. In case you are serious, Java (multithreading may possibly crawl multiple places at once and Java possesses better NIO functions).

Site ideas

Relating to huge ambition for your website, i absolutely sex them. But relating to become stuck regarding ideas. I am only 14 and so have no business or everything to make a site for but thought about want something i’ll get stuck in (i get diverted easily). Virtually any ideas The 1st website I made, about three issue, when I had been just 12 appeared to be a fan-site regarding my favourite COMPUTER game, Transport Tycoon. Do you know of a favourite Game, or perhaps people adore a Tv show Just something that could enable yu for you to hone your knowledge. What you need to try and do is to seek out a niche on the web (though they are very nearly impossible to find. Good luck. Thank you, ill keep that in mind That’s okay. I always needed a few ideas from others in the first place. You can a website on something which you find very interesting. I’m into anime, therefore I made an anime website. Try selecting something you would enjoy working away at. I don’t exactly determine what types of elements you’re into, so Make can’t make almost any suggestions. Beginning elements ok?

So guys……… here I go again. We have attached an example. jpg of what We have started on for the new www. thomasinamusic. com. POST haven’t added almost any nav bars, content, or anything like this yet. This is the beginning features. Please tell me what you think, as a kick off point, or any strategies or comments. And to note: I have designed this in a very 800 X SIX HUNDRED canvas in Photoshop. I don’t know if that is correct or certainly not, or if WHEN I should bump it as much as 1024 X 768. Once more, thanks for just about all comments/suggestions. gretsky I truly feel that the colors are drastically wrong. Perhaps a white background 800×600 is definitely prefered, but it’s up to people. But it never hurts to be nice to people in lower resolutions! One particular note though, an individual running in 800×600 cannot naturally see exactly 800×600 for their browser. http: //hotwired. lycos. com/webmonkey/99/41/index3a_page2. htmltw=design That is the useful page this shows the ‘true’ shareable size for websites in various windows in various file sizes. It really is definently a video heavy site. I would go on and try it that has … Continue reading

page layout in photoshop

My organization is almost ready to start re-constructing www. thomasinamusic. com. In case you have not read the previous posts……. I’d prefer a static pic of Thomasina located or sitting for the right side of the screen while this content loads on the left side (and your pic and backdrop remain static by way of chaning links). I can begin laying out there the elements within photoshop, and then cut them up in imageready to start coding. My question is……. To possess my content always remain within the same location (a. k. a. Thomasina’s pic can be at the quite right edge on the browser window, whether minimized or maybe maximized or whatsoever screen resolution could be used) I am assuming I need to use percentages as an alternative to pixel values whenever positioning. Am I correct during this Also…….. when creating the elements inside photoshop, what size canvas will i need to work with (or is best) When always, thanks to everyone thus to their input. As much information and often give will often be greatly appreciated. To have Thomasina’s picture for the right side of the screen, you will use DIV positioning, something down the lines of: HTML: … Continue reading

Selling Links on website

I have been previously toying with the idea of selling text hyperlinks on my web site. The idea usually someone pays one to link to their website for any set period (usually some sort of month). I’ve found quite a few websites where We can " auction" the links, so marketing the spaces shouldn’t be too much of the problem. Even so, I want to determine what the thoughts about this are in basic. On some sites, there are doomsday-type safety measures that Google can block () the actual pages’ PR status. Any comments about this is appreciated — specially since I never have seen anything about it on WDF. Kind regards! The whole concept of " selling" buttons is nothing brand new. It’s the just like any banner advertising or Google AdSense url or anything of this nature. I’m unclear what warnings you will be " seeing", but as your spider-based search engine it could be somewhat difficult for Google to penalize a web site for selling reported links unless it was done in a " link-farm-style" scenario where sites put up for sale their links at a links page and go following that. Mind you, the whole concept … Continue reading

Article Review

http: //staging. neathdesign. com/Design Carries. pdf First draft connected with something I want to send off into a local businesses, imagination Comments It’s just a good essay, as well as being quite persusive IMO (the controls of three rhetoricals usually are especially effective). One thing that anyone can do with editing slightly is all of the the vocabulary used; for example ‘prettier design’ needs to be replaced with something just like ‘aesthetically pleasing’ so they can that effect. It just helps make the essay slightly more potent. Overall I think that you may be successful with business interest with the essay, maybe it becomes an idea to send off some pieces of the portfolio as well Other than the fact that you need to spill chuck it (you misspelled " sites" available as one spot, among others), It’s safe to say it’s great. But plainly were you, I wouldn’t put it while in front of businesses directly. Submit it to some newspaper and permit them publish it. It looks like something that could read much more effectively as a print article, and you’d probably get far more out of the item. It’s is a good article. Apart in the odd … Continue reading

Fixed image at the bottom of browser window

Check out this http: //www. eyeball-design. com/fxzone/frames02. htm see the navigation strip that is always in view at the end of the internet page how might i manage to do that Thx ahead It’s the frameset. It’s rather basic stuff. Have a look at http: //www. w3schools. com/html/html_frames. asp oh right… well now i recognize… thx The best solution, if IE backed it, would be to apply the css place: fixed; bottom: 0px; homes. That way you might bypass frames altogether. Your position: fixed property should really align elements in accordance with the browser eye-port, so a base: 0px rule should cause a component to attatch to the bottom of this browser.. and it works generally in most modern browsers. However apparently nobody sent MS that memo. Very well, if you evaluate that site, them uses frames. And you can get it to job in IE, having a little trickery. Yes I recognize that site functions frames. I were arguing that position, or if IE backed frames. Clearly IE really does supports them, and it has for several years. My point is there is theoretically other ways you might achieve the exact effect without using frames. It ment the idea … Continue reading

auto resize?????????????

howdy all im new towards the forum and i’ve my first issue, i am wanting to design a home page for my website and i would really like to know when there is something i can do so that they can make it resize automaticaly any time people have numerous screen resolutions, thanks for just about any help, Depending on what you are trying to do exactly this is simple or extremely complicated. You could use flash, css location, expanding tables, or write any complicated script that can switch out various elements dependant upon user resolution. What We would do is consider the CSS route, but that involves some kind of understanding of CSS(obviously). Probably for you the simpliest solution is to use a strong expanding table. An expanding table is usually a table with any variable width determined by the width in the browser. This site employs an expanding table in case you click on the " < < bigger" toggle switch about the top of the page. Depending on your own perticular circumstances how to start this could be responded a thousand techniques. Do research online on google for searchwebliquid webpage layout/searchweb Really, the short in addition to … Continue reading

most used languages

im a preety new web designer and was wanting to know what languages you guys utilize the most and what ones are more helpful. please post Many thanks I use CSS essentially the most because I think it offers the most versatility inside your designs, but it can even be the biggest hassle unless you know what you’re doing. It’s quite handy though. To define essentially the most useful it genuinely depends on what kind of web work you want to do. Designing for great companies would require a language that is the most cross appropriate. Designing smaller jobs may require a language that delivers versatility (like CSS, because I stated above). Coming up with databases for businesses would require PHP, ASP, or something of this sort. Then there’s always Java and various languages in order to dsign web applets or even CGI. It all really depends upon where you want to go with the idea. thanks. any one else have any favorite languages CSS is actually cool stuff. I’ve ‘just’ started getting into PHP and your simple things it could accomplish – extremely, very cool elements. It took myself FOREVER to figure out how to hook up CGI-BIN material … Continue reading
