Please help me make this design better

Hey guys, I’m new here but I would like some feedback. I developing this page on a stretched deadline, I’m doing the whole thing, design+development. The site is actually for a sports event, sort of like track along with field but by using other sports as well. Users can register, join teams, look at other teams. Admins might add sports, modify users, news for example.. I’m practically done when using the PHP/MySQL portion however the person I’m handling is really hung up on the design. I do not think it’s my greatest design, but POST still think it really is good. It would be a lot better plainly had far more time. I was going backward and forward and my understanding was that the person liked the design, but they are certainly not satisfied with the item. What’s the best ways to implement the following – Non Thumb. See attached picture Thanks dotnetweb Here’s an example, simple but something you are able to play with. They make use of a white color backdrop and set the particular opacity to 60. The text over top is just not affected. The example you gave likely uses gray or black. My brother and I just now started working together on websites. I make the look, he scripts it. For our very first task, we’re carrying out a favour for my brother’s friend, does anyone want a website with regard to his new food business, so that people can start obtaining a portfolio together. The problem is that, now that I’ve developed a good design that’s received good feedback, our " client" is making several odd requests regarding the design, such as merging bright red text having a bright yellow qualifications and putting some sort of random picture of an cake in the very best right of that page outside the leading content.
