http: //www. 2advanced. com/ Recently became available with v5 of their site. DAMN. They’ve outdone themselves this time around. Ya… saw that a few months ago actually. Every couple of months or so, POST pop-in on which site and find what’s happening. Its blog is helpful too While I’ll appreciate good style, I followed that link and reprehended into this: I’m afraid this site has already failed for me (no Flash 8 for Linux). Having switched to the nearby House windows box, it appears to be pretty, but I dislike the navigation very much. Namely, main navigation is due to too many sites. POST dunno, it strikes me to be a typical pretty-but-not-so-usable webpage. That aside from the fact that many links didn’t work with me and a back corner button hack some people did only seems to figureout half the moment. But maybe which is just Firefox. yes, it’s probably designed for WinBoxen, but it’s perty They’re an enormous firm. Rumors that I’ve truly heard say that they do an analysis of one’s company before they will design, and that analysis is $15K or even so. They demand hourly, and with regard to 3 pages, it’s like 50K (I’m … Continue reading

Still design with Internet Explorer 5/5.5 in mind?

I’ve noticed plenty of my sites look like pretty garbled upward when it’s seen using ie5/5. 5… Anything, else and they also all work fine. According to w3schools merely about 4% with poeple still employ ie5. http: //www. w3schools. com/browsers/browsers_stats. asp So… Do you design/code with ie5 as their intended purpose, or is the item a lost cause Many thanks! Nope. IE6 is actually my baseline, in the event I’m targetting IE (I usually am, though ) POST ignore it. IE WDF cell phone browser breakdown for August 2006 (although not necessarily truly representative of your general population because designers will use alternative surfers and AWstats grossly underrepresents many stats, including hits): wow, that copied terribly. Summary: IE 6TH, 40. 8%, IE SEVERAL, 3. 8%, all others less than 1%. Overall: IE 1 OUT OF 3. 2% and Firefox 38. 2% (! ). Additional notables: Safari A COUPLE OF. 4% and Opera A SINGLE. 1%. Netscape 4 less than 0. 01%… report. Konqueror only slightly more than NS4. I actually much like the Opera rendering motor… I just loathe the browser which surrounds it. In the months and many years, IE and Firefox were getting closer and also closer for … Continue reading

Stonework by Dave Romero Mockup

And here is a mockup of what might be the base on the site for your stone-worker in Las Vegas, Innovative Mexico. Anyone suggest any tweaks Or maybe, do you that it I would also make the logo text rather bigger, or the nav text a tad smaller, especially since they may be so close with each other… but that is probably me. Either way I’m keen on it. There’s no doubt that you’ll discover who’s looks nice that it is now, but when you have images of actual career sites and precise stonework, those images might be very light and bright when compared to " skins" of this site. It shall be a rather tough contrast. Put some photos in your site and see when there is. Actually, the majority of the photo’s have loads of red’s and dark greens because of the location, but I recognize what you signify. I’ve started ripping up the site, and I have a challenge for a few of you. IE is launching the footer part of the site amusing, and the value seems fine to me. So, I’d like to uncover why before POST hack it. http: //drstonework. evercambio. com/ http: //drstonework. … Continue reading

Hacked

Greetings everyone, I am confused if this is actually the correct forum to be able to stick this problem in, but getting older seem to squeeze into any other kind. Not long ago i began working with a website for a customer who decided on his own web host company. With all the websites I have done, I have for no reason had a ‘hack’ challenge. It seems this site has become a challenge child with hacking. I discussed it while using host, and they said this is most likely the hacker deciphering this FTP username/password. Relating to since changed the actual password to a little something entirely irrelevant — hence, hard determine – yet the site has been hacked into again. Could this be a dilemma with the host How do you protect your site Thank you. The question It’s safe to ask is the reason why is someone hacking any small-time site Does your client have people once him Not that i know of…. all I see on the page is the hacker boasting that he is showing the ‘Admin’ in which their ‘security software/system is definitely weak’….. and then he likes to give shout-outs to each of … Continue reading

How to avoid getting your database hacked

I familiar with run a basic premade php-nuke internet site, but someone hacked the idea. Now, I am tough one and have learned how to code some php. On the other hand, I am sure easily tried to complete a database and run an internet site off of that, it would absolutely get hacked. Can anyone tell my family first how a person hacks websites, and easy methods to protect your own traditional hunting had. Sorry there are a great number of loaded questions, but help is prized. Ok, let me do some a lecture. People plan to hack databases by its queries. For many SQL-based languages, that they make special inquiries. Like in a new login username area, they do a Code: A OR 1=1; DECLINE TABEL users; This is really a common method that will blow away the security measures. Whenever it goes straight into your common issue, it becomes Code: PICK OUT * FROM customers WHERE username = ” OR EVEN 1=1; DROP TABEL customers; ‘ As you can see, it bypasses the initial query (by including an OR driver that clearly validates to true) and does the second query, a desk drop. So that can do … Continue reading

IE and Firefox

My webpage comes on just the way I’d like to see it to within Firefox. But next time i view it throughout IE, it equates really weird. your menu is far too spaced out, the tagboard doesn’t come up correctly and the fonts are bigger(sometimes). How to fix this Research Google for " IE CSS Package Model Hack" What I find really helpful is that instead of setting up your whole page in a single browser you produce a section, check the idea across all surfers, then continue. I usually break this page into header/content. This makes troubleshooting not that hard as problems are discovered immediately after they happen. Meaning less searching by means of CSS/HTML to diagnose the issue. I did and still, absolutely nothing changes… Probably a very stupid question… but you own tried to carry out the hack correct You haven’t just simply googled it then gone website property and said ‘nope certainly not working’. Have you got a link to your website Its a bit hard to figure blind. Naturally I did! Now i am not that dumb… (joking) Really, I have tried using it out and for whatever reason, IE takes zero notice of this. … Continue reading

PCP Style – A New Idea for Better Stylesheets

So Pondered this idea today…. PCP (PCP CSS Preprocessor). Fundamentally, I want to create a preprocessor to get CSS that parses released your stylesheet within the server-side and uses HTTP_USER_AGENT to determine deviations from normal CSS, then replaces that W3C-compliant CSS having browser-specific CSS and also spits out the result. And here is how it’ll do the job. Think about you have this particular HTML (below). And let’s say you want to style your #page content that they are 500px wide with 20px padding as well as a 10px border, centered to the page, with word justified left. W3C can have you do the following: HTML: < html> < head> < title> PCP Style< /title> < website rel=" stylesheet" type=" text/css" href=" key. css" media=" all" /> <! –if lte IE 6> < website rel=" stylesheet" type=" text/css" href=" ie6. css" media=" screen" /> <! endif–> < /head> < body> < div id=" page" > < p> PCP is a bomb! < /p> < /div> < /body> < /html> Here’s some of our main CSS report, which works with regard to W3C-compliant browsers. Code: div#page size: 500px; padding: 20px; boundary: 10px; margin: 0 auto; Due to box-model misinterpretation by means … Continue reading

advice on gifs please?

Hi there. would like to work with gif for a website I am working away at but the shadows or gradients emerge flat & nasty. I’m for example, making a button in illustrator along with using drop darkness. I’ve it set for best quality & for many of the colors available. Could anyone suggest easy methods to solve this problem With thanks Don’t work with a gif for gradients, shadows, or perhaps photographs, Save it for a jpg. But I need to the transparency. that was the real reason for the gif. You need to use PNG, but for IE5, SIX (and 7), you must use a hack to repair their PNG problem. – doesn’t that drastically improve the file size I’ve the same difficulty with transparent gifs. I’m afraid I just now now do not forget the limitations while designing and do not incorporate shadows etc plainly know it’ll mean a see-thorugh gif. jpg seems to be OK. Only work with the original png’s with all the current extra info throughout them. You still have to export them for a web png. I’ve noticed microscopic size increases when using PNG. And when you’re dealing with shadows or gradients you’re … Continue reading
