Help with Forum choice
Hello Iam attempting to find out which would be your best forum software to me to use, I would prefer a forum which includes the ability that include its own webpages, I tried phpbb3 with xampp and it also didnt have any options for webpages.. are available any forum softwares (preferably free) which have this ability I currently have got a forum/website running about Zetaboards www. dslbuddy. net and I would prefer to move them elsewhere because even though ZB has good quality functionality its starting to be a let-down (and costly) any advice on this subject matter would become much apprecaited. Regards Snadge You should look at a number of CMS’s many bring forums already integrated. You might give up on some forum functions, but you may have plenty of options to provide other pages. WHEN I use phpFusion normally, although it is actually less popular compared to drupal, joomla and also those, it does a very good job for several of my clients, and it is fairly easy to master in the to come back end. Just an idea. Check away www. xenforo. com (this home’s using it). I’m keen BBpress. thanks with the replys… i love the … Continue reading

How do I load Image that is Byte[] that I get from the DB to the client side?
Hello, I got a problem and I didn’t find the answer with Google, maybe I’m not looking perfect Well the following is the thing, I receive through the DAL a var that may be Byte that features an image(jpg for example) And now I want to be able to convert it for you to an image and show it about my client side page. How to do that Thanks for the help. p. vertisements I develop within asp. net Here’s how i would do the item in C#. web and VB. web. Thought process you, storing images within a database generally isn’t the most effective way to go related to doing things. The extra overhead created by having to retrieve an entire image and diplay this vs. generating an image tag determined by a file inside filesystem alone causes it to be worth storing images in the file system. http: //databases. aspfaq. com/database/should-i-store-images-in-the-database-or-the-filesystem. html If you possibly could just store a reference on the file in the particular database (along along with image dimensions… your page a lot will decrease a great deal if you might call the image dimensions from DB) vs. the image by itself, you’ll probably be … Continue reading

New to web design. Basic question.
Hello there, I am just trying to develop a webpage depending on a book given in my experience by my sister for a Chrristmas gift after some duration ago. The trouble I will be having is how you can include pictures. Next time i load it into the browser, I simply get small rectanbgles along with X’s in them. I tried dimension them, but this didn’t help. I’m pretty sure I gave it the best path. Any suggestions George Basically, your paths are certainly not correct, they consult files on your disk drive, not on the particular server. Ones code: < IMG SRC=" D: \Documents and Settings\George OBrien\Desktop\tone injector\" PICT0020. jpg" > proper code: < img src=" PICT0020. jpg" > (if the image is the same directory as the page on your server) as well as: < img src=" images/PICT0020. jpg" > (if the image is a directory identified as " Images" around the server. ) I’m going to hazard a estimate and say you are using Dreamweaver for your site – this has become the more common faults that occurs by using DW – I wish Thought about the time to help post a clearer explanation of your – … Continue reading

Moving Existing Site Galleries To LightBox2
Hello all, After i built my internet site, I used the handy tool " World wide web Album Generator COUPLE OF. 0". I liked the utility because it created an concept album, incorporated a filmstrip while displaying a complete size image, and allowed me to look back home. Over the earlier couple years the site has become out of date information wise, We’ve felt that your photo albums tend to be too basic to get my taste, and will not flow well with my site. I’ve grown partial to the LightBox2 style and wish to merge my albums in order to it. Unfortunately I’m having a difficult time visualizing how We would accomplish this having my existing internet site, code wise. My goal is kid click a standard text link on the website resulting in your LightBox activation. That link would have been a full gallery involving photos. This allows users to keep on the page but view photos relating to it, per a regular link. The kicker could be that the site has something like 3000 images. I’m not in opposition to recreating folders and doing each of the original work once again. I’m fine with beginning scratch. Thank … Continue reading
