Dreamweaver MX localhost problem??
We are having a challenge getting IIS in order to properly map my own web root. I’m using DWMX and possess never had this challenge beofre. I’ve always used (on similar machine) F: /SITES/the site for the reason that local storage area after which it C: /localhost/Webs/the site for the reason that testing server. the positioning = the name belonging to the current project (e. he. Car Company). While i preview the web site from dreamweaver, IE/IIS attempts to look for the site while in the /localhost/ directory Besides the /localhost/SITES/car organization. Everthing will be configured properly with DWMX. If I check out http: //localhost/SITES/trace. aspx, the page runs without any problems — hence the server end would seem ok. We can even get that will http: //localhost/SITES/Car Company/index. aspx but none from the graphics load. Easily hover the mouse with the graphics quickly, I see from the status bar how the URL is /localhost/images/car1. gif As an alternative to /localhost/SITES/images/car1. gif. For some reason the url is usually leaving out that " second level" with mapping. I’ve been using DWMX for a little bit and I’ve never had this challenge before. Intended for whatever it’s worthy of, this is … Continue reading

DW CS3: Images will not preview in local browser
Just like the title said, my images of which I’m inserting onto my document will not likely preview in my personal local browser. What am I performing wrong Its probably the referencing img method. Can you publish some code out of this file that illustrates the images you may not see In addition, check that the particular images are where you would imagine they are. In the event the img path is relative (such as < img src=" document. jpg" > ) then the folder that this HTML file was in should have the file. jpg on the inside it too. Greetings bfsog, thanks to your reply. I started a brand new page in Dreamweaver CS3 and designed a brand new image in Fireworks. It was before just a basic word, " Store, " and I saved it like a. gif file. I stored the item in my main folder and injected the image from the assets menu. The idea displayed fine around my DW insurance coverage, but, yet once again, showed up like a " " when previewing the item in safari (MAC) where the image should are already and only shown the alt label in Opera. Suggestions code: … Continue reading

gif image not working
Howdy, Any one has any notion why a gif photograph working properly whenever opened on this computer, not doing work properly when submitted to website Gives thanks The < img src> value is wrong ketanco… give us a new link so you can " see" it. It’s most likely something simple, which is what I typically find. But ensure that your image label is correct, which is probably what’s drastically wrong. HTML: < img src=" /images/test. gif" width=" 200" height=" 100" alt=" my image" /> But give us all a link hence we can take a look better. That picture1. gif graphic animates properly about my computer. Nonetheless, when I heap to my site, it is simply just static image. What might be the reason < any href=" http: //www……………. com" > < img src=" http: //www…………………….. com/picture1. gif" > < /a> Is a code…. doesn’t are a problem with the code you jsut afforded us, but is it possible please give individuals a URL into the site so you can see the difficulty the traffic is: world wide web. robotdukkani. com I’m guessing it has to do with how you include it. If it’s animated on your computer just … Continue reading

Images versus site speed.
We have a question regarding images and site speed. What I am wondering about are these claims. Would it be better to stay my web site images of their " images" folder and chek out them from the root of my sector. Or, would it be better/faster only store them on a seperate hosting provider and chek out them there. Any input is prized. Many thanks, _____________________ web page design usa ecommerce website design Iowa More quickly to host these people yourself and employ Relative Path. Case in point, store all of one’s images in the directory called " images". Complete Path: < img src=" http: //www. mysite. com/images/mylogo. gif" /> Comparable Path: < img src=" images/mylogo. gif" /> Why would you think they would fill faster Unless ones running your server as part of your basement putting your images in the remote location is not advisable. You’d be adding another point connected with failure. If the remote computer repair server is offline you could have no images plus your website is crippled. Keep with the local /images folder on your server.
How to create transparent background for images?
I would like to use layers just to save an irregularly-shaped image that has a TRANSPARENT background together with another image. After i try to conserve this image for a jpg or gif, the particular transparent background transforms white. I have observed that some surfers don’t handle png information well (I feel using Macromedia to get iamges) and png also consumes masses of quality. Will be best way involving saving images to ensure the transparent background will stay GIF encourages 1-bit transparency. What program have you been using to set up the images–Fireworks Use GIF and make sure you choose the transparency solution. An other thing will be the matte color -> choose the one that will coordinate with image that’s underneath. Web Explorer 6 really doesn’t support PNG, and a number of people are still with it. Yes I am just using Fireworks. After i save an image using a transparent background as either a gif or jpg, the particular background appears whitened. Macromedia Fireworks will not seem to permit me to choose a transparency solution when saving some sort of gif – and also anything else for instance. It does permit me to save as the photoshop psd … Continue reading

Anything showing at my browser can be looked at, and downloaded. Here’s their logo: http: //www. ladyburd. com/images/logo. gif They put their logo as being a background image… in the event that’s what you suggest. But it does not protect anything. Despite the fact that make your company logo a background photograph, I can display it in this way: http: //ogkathyc. com/images/logo. jpg Your other logos, in this way: http: //ogkathyc. com/portfopages/images/logo/ale. jpg I will copy those far too.
