My Site looks REALLY different in IE to firefox.
Hello there. I was hoping someone could possibly help with a dilemma i’m having. I’m aware you will find differences between how IE and FF display webpages but the very few pages I’ve made differ vastly! I’m by far from experienced in web design but I’ve made a few sites recently and never had such results. I’m building a website for my own girlfriends art (which is definitely what i’m focusing on but haven’t obtained it hosted yet) that, when loaded within IE, displays every one of the text to the particular left and completely ignores the type of my div keepers. The same provides happened with a different website I knocked up quickly, its table based compared with divs but it suffers a similar problem as the site i created with regard to my girlfriend. An example of this issue is here (in internet explorer) but its more painful when i make an effort to view the site i’ve made for my GFs art work (which i utilised div tags and also have put more work into coding, cdl. co. uk is rather naff i admit) Might anyone help Cheers in advance! Well, at least anyone admitted your program … Continue reading

Help with Browser Compatibility!!

Since I uploaded the positioning to the dwell server yesterday, I’ve noticed several browser compatibility issues created and have no clue how to correct them. I’ve changed a number of the CSS code around hoping to solve the problem that way, but nothing seems to be effective. The best site until now is Firefox; I’ve truly noticed little in order to no glitches. Internet explorer, however, is a different story. It appears that whenever WE zoom the page above 100%, my right sidebar moves to the left forcing the primary content div to go down. Another problem We have noticed on a few other browsers is that a number of the text in this content div moves slightly on the left underneath my own left sidebar, suitable where that sidebar div label ends. I have no idea why this is actually happening and would love some input on easy methods to fix this. Internet Explorer Compatibility Thoughts and "Fixed:Position" methods
Hi, I lately finished my webdesign internet site. Looked beautiful inside Firefox. Then WE viewed it with IE5. It viewed bad, but I figured it’s a vintage browser and not worth plenty of time fixing. You may think " definitely, if IE is a really *! #$, I’ll skip making the site IE-compatible! " Good, no can accomplish, chief. According to Wikipedia, as with Feb 2012: IE : 29. 05% Chrome : 23. 22% Firefox : 21. 76% Safari : 13. 49% Opera : 5. 2% Furthermore, reported by this article within the prevalence of IE6, completely, 20% of clients were still implementing IE6. Webdesigners usually spend 20-50% of their total project time working out IE compatibility. So, if you’re serious about webdesign, you’d better get acquainted with IE-specific issues, maintenance tasks, hacks, whatever.
