Help with tables

Hi there, I am pretty new to web site design and only discovered HTML within the last week. I have read all the tutorials and understand HTML well in this article and am getting better at JSP and php making sure that I can eventually build a dynamic site. I’m using Dreamweaver to accomplish all this and also am having quite a few trouble. I need to generate a horizontal table for the top and a couple vertical tables upon both sides considering the body of the site at the center. My problem will be; the side stand does not wish to have anything next in order to it. The type promptly starts below that table and typing directly into above it only ends up with the table moving down the page (keep in mind that is in Dreamweaver). A bit brief background first— I’m considering a career change from the world of architecture to the world of website design. I’ve done loads of graphics work ahead of, so I’ve became the visual finish down. Creating photograph portfolio site 4 friend

An associate has asked me to generate him a site to indicate off his profile of photographs. My first notion was a flash site would be cool, but We have no experience with Flash. I can style a pretty fine looking one while using the languages that I know (XHTML, PHP, XML, CSS… all that good stuff, though I’m ready and ready to learn more). Nonetheless, on main problem I have is what am i allowed to use to make it so that all he has to do is actually upload his pictures with a folder on this server, and the website do the rest. I’ve seen JSP make it happen, but first, if that is the best thing to utilize, where would be one of the best place to study it. Howdy, Good here it should go, I am fantastic coder, I know and may recite code pertaining to HTML, CSS, PHP, MySql, C, C++, C#, Rex, Essential, Java, and VB.
