Frontpage + DHTML Menus?

Hey many! I’m new towards the forum and awaiting becoming just as addicted it as my other online community, which is totally unrelated because it really is about hamsters… however anyhow, moving about the the REAL point of the post. I am becoming forced(not to my particular liking at all) make use of Microsoft Frontpage when my editing program for a particular job I’m taking care of, and I’m having a lot of difficulties working any DHTML menu in to it. I have a lot of experience with coding, so actually format the script in addition to incorportating into my personal page isn’t the situation, but uploading the. js file necessary with most DHTML menus into the folder with my index page is usually what’s causing me a serious headache. There’s no option in any selection on Frontpage to start this, and I’ve tried almost everything in the ebook. I know there is some unfortunate soul available who has make use of Frontpage as well(Yes, I’m an important Dreamweaver fan), and maybe you understand how to get this damn menu working. Thanks for just about any advice you can offer. You could start to just FTP this file up True… … Continue reading

Need some help.

I’ve a problem, I want to be able to have news with my front page, but I don’t wish to have to format and also archive it personally. I also want to be able to use my MICROSOFT frontpage shared borders about it. Anyone have any ideas (An example of what I want are available here. Ook, a person’s link crashed my personal browser, and My browsers, including this download. For not doing it manually….. I’m guessing an individual mean by certainly not actually typing the html for every news post, and moving this older news on the archive. The fastest way I can think about doing this is thru PHP or even perl, or an additional server-side language. And either integrate that has a forum (the main forum softwares have newsportals, which cause it to way easier), but in case you dont need a forum with your site, this isnt needed. You could check into phpnuke, or something along those lines in case you dont want to be able to code the backend oneself. In any other case, have a means of inputting the media post, and have code store it in a flatfile(txt doc), or within a database. … Continue reading

Site Redesign (again ;))

Properly I’ve started on the completely different change for FMD Studios (I’ve got a bit on my hands), but a pal showed me that this design that I’ve truly mocked up looks a bit more like www. ceruleanstudios. com. Does the look look ‘copied’ from their site, because if it does I really is going to change it. If it can be ok I’d appreciate a little critique (yes, I realize the CSS will be explorer-fied, but merely develop the design it’ll be x-browser I assure ) Also would using the cube breaching copyright (it’s a rubik’s iirc) Update: The redesign can be found here – online world. fmdstudios. com/Redesigns/index. html Where could be the redesign It’s an improvement on what you’ve before I imagine. However I do like your outdated design and think it would be good if you do have a nice professional looking banner on them. IT would increase a completley different feel to the site and it would be for the much better. If you cannot developed a new banner then I might consider a full redesign. I don’t even think it’s copied out of that site too much, or it will not look it. But … Continue reading

Links scroll over effects – I must be missing something…

Im working away at this new page and I aim for the same effect several other sites have (including Website development Forum) where the colour in the link changes along with a line appears (or disappears in Web site design Forums’ case) while you scroll over it with the mouse. Is Fireworks really the one way to develop this effect or possibly there is an easier HTML-coding solution to do this Information is always hugely appreciated by experts on the market… http: //www. w3schools. com/css/default. asp Understand up. This is becoming an important language in website development. It is A piece of cake to learn. Completed via CSS: some sort of: link shade: #006699; text-decoration: underline; some sort of: visited shade: #006699; text-decoration: underline; some sort of: hover shade: #006699; text-decoration: probably none; Naturally, change the colour to the liking, along with anything, like font, and so forth. Physt’s link will make suggestions for everything CSS relayed There’s for many who ask the exact question three numerous times. http: //www. webdesignforums. net/showthread. phpt=16325 http: //www. webdesignforums. net/showthread. phpt=16322 Bless you!! Erm…A ltiile help here?

A certain amount of a continuation in the navigation thread I started…… Well basically can easily anyone tell my home how I change where the bar appears And the way to stop it happening forever It really is here: http: //www. crabhand. company. uk/help. htm I basically want to buy to either be in the table or ensure it is centered and similar width of the table….. Many thanks!!!: nervous: Hmm, I don’t believe I quite comply with… But first thing that really is not clean code. Because you said you don’t know anything about coding Consider the good dismiss that however. So far as I can tell, the nav bar is precisely the same width as the actual table now (600 one thing px), and it appears to be centered too. One thing you might do is consider this block of code: body border: px; foam: 9em; text-align: left place: absolute To begin with, the margin is not defined. So either rise out completely, set it to 0px, or set it into a other number for a liking. Second, I believe you can take out the ‘text-align: still left; ‘ since all your content will be in the table. … Continue reading

Stie Name

Please select that you just think will be the best name pertaining to my website from the ones in poll. In order to know the products i provide please consider my other submit. http: //www. webdesignforums. net/starting_out_120/need_help_with_site_name_18518. html Also my web site the know is situated here, it a certain amount of a mess the now. http: //www. voluntaryitsolutions. company. uk im liking strata comm for some reason. howdy there, i prefer shorter names, names that give a company its personality and simultaneously describe the company’s purpose in certain clever, but noticeable way. don’t know what " IT" represents…. " static solutions"! why static the designs don’t change think about " dynamic solutions" or maybe " digital solutions" i prefer the word " solutions", dislike " comm" whatsoever. " strata" is actually unique and appears to be interesting— i figure you either have to have a dull wash name that just describes what you choose to do…… or take on a name that’s as unique like a person’s, and doesn’t automatically state the nature of one’s business. maybe create a keyword that does depend on your function, such as " solutions" and then tweak it in something original…. " solvent", … Continue reading

DWMX help please

Good day all, is there any way connected with manipulating the spacing among lines for career fields in repeat zones I’d like to close the grounds up because right now they are too much apart for this liking. Thanks ahead of time, Mitch…. Repeat regions, like throughout an image or maybe lines of text Photo: I believe html/DW on auto-pilot puts the repeat image next to the next so that it is even. Therefore I’d be inclined to be sure the image itself might not have a border. Copy: format the primary. Generally, the icon is actually one letter over another with the line between, arrow pointing to the line. The value is within pixels, so if you’d like less space among the lines, it ought to be less than the scale of your font. Lastly, you said the issue is in DWMX, is that while looking along at the design, or actually from the browser Sometimes the theory rendered in DW is different from the code, so go forward and F12. Reply your question Yup, its the text itself. I am sorry, when I claim DWMX I supposed thats how POST created the strong text. The preview as well … Continue reading

Banner for a friends Forum

Hi Been a good year and the half since my spouse and i posted in these but im back again building and working on sites again after a lengthy break. Quick question your ive built a banner for any friend who possesses this forum: http: //www. the-darkside-uk. com/phpbb/ How on earth do i obtain the banner onto that forum. he also wants it to perform right across the top part is this doable many thanks phpBB uses skins offering the look and feel for the website. If you look inside root phpBB index, there should be a directory identified as skins (or styles or templates, undecided which). Inside, you will discover. tpl files matching to various regions of the pages which are constructed. That’s where you want to be editing files. Damm i understand no php by any means ill have to see if i gets this template file and have another request You include two choices: 1) Re-code the phpbb to feature the name from the logo you produced (not very easy) but is the answer. OR 2) Name the banner an individual created " _logo. gif" and place it within this directory " /phpbb/templates/subVereor/images/" You simply must play … Continue reading

SITE TEMPLATE

Definitely, I’m just getting into web design, well trying anyways and I used to be wondering if any person could give me a good sample layour or tamplate i could play with. I am working with xhtml faq online but they arent the most solution i locate. I want to know how to splice headers along with nav bars into individual pieces that are also links as well as buttons and peice them together just right. I cant obtain positioning of anything right and i believe i know the many basic attributes. I am a brick aid…. haha Many thanks, Townsy What a tough one, because each one of us has another liking and disliking of likes and site design. I’m always inspired by ideas coming from www. csszengarden. com I’m never thinking about splicing. Navigation should often be simple and user-friendly and uncomplicated. Decide if you’re inspired by any in the CSS examples. If fancy navigation can be your thing, I would probably go a lot more towards Flash.

So, I’m trying to switch to Opera

I used to use Firefox, but I can’t stand it anymore since: While and also a decent employment of following W3C requirements, it still fails the Acid2 test. It leakages memory like nuts. It crashes a good deal. Opera, on the other hand: Passes the Acid2 test. Is using less memory by using several tabs available than Firefox may just when recently launched. Hasn’t crashed (yet). It really does have some annoyances, like having any much different UI simply by default than Firefox or perhaps IE. I’ve custom-made it heavily in order to my liking, including replacing this default skin which has a skin that looks very much like native Windows EXP (for example, the tabs look like, you know, tabs at this point, not taskbar buttons). I also can’t stand the error console whatsoever compared to Firefox. Lastly, accesskeys are broken or not even set up by means of default. There’s no keyboard accelerator for any password manager dialog (" do you want to remember this specific password"… it’s " r" inside Firefox and " y" inside IE). But I still gives all that upward for following W3C standards without crashing and employing all 1 GB of my RAM … Continue reading
