Marketable design knowledge
I am considering learning some web page design. After talking into a friend a special program I’m evaluating studies, HTML, Javascript, Macromedia (or dreamweaver or maybe Front Page), Macromedia Firework MX, Macromedia FlashMX, in addition to PHP, MySQL. A friend explained these courses are good however the Macromedia suite is probably not as marketable as some other programs. Does anyone other than them have an opinion on this What programs would you learn if you were going to consider marketability in a creative profession, like employed in media/video, etc. Thanks on your help. Macromedia won’t exist anymore. Flash and Fireworks are a compenent of the Adobe Creative Suite now. It appears like you’re more thinking about the design stop of things. Available for you, I’d probably suggest learning web page design before getting directly into learning skills. Which means studying how web pages work, how to style them graphically so they’re more useful, and how to create them convey this means, purpose, and nature appropriately. From there, I’d suggest learning Photoshop and Display, as those shall be your most valuable design tools. After you’ve tackled the STYLE aspect, look in to the SCRIPTING aspect : HTML and CSS. Which should … Continue reading

GAP in NESTED TABLES/SHIM PIXEL?
Hello all, An image i sliced in Photoshop then imported in to Dreamweaver is expressing little white dots within the right edge, just the place that the slice borders tend to be. I set all cellspace/borders to 0 and made sure the cell was the exact size of the image however the dots still remained. Make sure you see the linked image. I’ve seen threads on some forums saying that is a " shim" artwork creating extra breathing space. People have solved this challenge by deleting that column containing the particular shim pixels or maybe deleting spacer. gif, but after i do so all slices fall out of alignment. How to get rid from the shim graphic so that you will find there’s clean edge I’d very much value some guidance. Bless you, Cecille I’m not confident what I’m said to be looking at the following, those links just check out a website…. Hello there, my freebie hosting company is redirecting to their main page (grrrrr! ) I’ve attached the images towards the message above. Bless you. I do certainly not know why there’s a gap between your flower and word in Firefox but is not IE. I have leaped my code from the validator with absolutely nothing errors. Please assist. Dwelling Page I know that is the basic error Thanks before time OHH FYI I want it to mimic it does if you view it in IE. Did you try reducing the very best: 366px to 345px maybe As well as, what a clutter of code! You should certainly clean that ” up “! Harmonic’s onto something with the " mess with code" comment. I understand this is your current first try, nonetheless it looks like somebody or something (i. e. a program) assisted you. Your big issue is the fact that you’re trying for being pixel-perfect with points and use utter positioning where it does not work or suit. The absolute placement is what’s putting together off your full layout, not simply the flower. Fundamentally, you should start out this page above from scratch, code a bit without the location, see it … Continue reading
