Another forum besides PHP?
Any kind of of you guys know of a different forum type I’ll use besides PHP I discovered my server doesnt service PHP. Thanks for any help! if the host supports ASP, then it comes with an open source community forum created by microsoft http: //www. asp. net/forums certainly if your site doesn’t support asp, then i believe www. ezboard. com hosts forums on their server, unprofessional even though IMO Definitely thanks guys, I think my spouse and i found one I want to try out called yabb. I’ll run it at either. cgi or maybe. pl which is definitely great JR, the ASP. NET forums require a. NET server, not just ASP. Act like, Perl and CGI will be the same thing. Perl is often a language supported by the CGI architecture. Kind of like VBScript is a new language supported by ASP architecture. So well maybe MY PARTNER AND I worded that wrong sorry. Practically host nowadays facilitates PHP anyway… It is advisable to find a new one but if your current one does not support it because you will likely need PHP and MySQL in the future.

How to create user sign in
I want to have a user sign in form upon my website to ensure that when a customer revisits my website the guy can just sign in his user title and password. Eventually I need to hook way up a shopping cart to all this but can easily anyone give myself the code because of this Thanks. Server can be IIS on Windows 2000 SP3 It is not as simple as it sounds. You’ll need to create a database with the user name and password feature, and the shopping cart can be an even larger activity. Do you know PHP or ASP No I convinced dont but if there is a tutorial on the internet or in a book i always can read for getting an idea with what all is entailed which will be nice. I just need basic guidance into the resources I can use to make this happen. I am not concerned with shopping carts at the moment though. That is later on in life. Pick a new language and start learning it. I’d personally recommend PHP, because that is definitely easier to find out. Get a reserve or start doing lessons on the internet. Creating a … Continue reading

I have been working with a project, using PHP and now have been debating on whether to work with a templating serp. I have produce several solutions, each with different pluses and minuses, and just wanted a 2nd (or many) experiences on personal experience, and effectiveness. SMARTY ——— This templating engine is so far the most powerful one I’ve seen. The particular pros Allows for Loops, and other functions (more versatile) Well supported/documented completely separates the markup from your code The particular cons: It’s a big, and can be slow It’s not a fairly easy install (ie for the single use) You should find out the syntax so as to use it newest version is PHP5 only (not a challenge unless webhost wouldn’t provide) Fundamental tag replacement (including STR_REPLACE OR ANYTHING ELSE… ) the particular pros smaller in that case smarty simple to utilize requiring only to know basic syntax no installing necessary The particular cons Can become complicated to utilize LOOPS, otherwise eliminates customizability if certainly not written correctly, can lessen the pace of execution may introduce stability holes (in the situation of hand built solutions) PHP Utilizing PHP to assign aspects, and then echoing them in the code … Continue reading
