Website content?

Hi there, I’m trying to build a portfolio web site. I’m wondering just what sections and content I should include Examples could be great. New to this, sorry. Thanks for every replies. –trau Mostly your use a small story of what it really is, who it appeared to be for, why it had been done, and how it had been done. Type within " web design" online and look through their portfolios. " Regarding Me / Us" could have your Curriculum Vitae / Organization Profile " The / Our Perform / Clients" could have a listing of your work as well as client list converted by category. " Services" can tell people just what services you offer to them. " Get in touch with Me / Us" could have your email / telephone / address or maybe other contact information. mayby one can have a ‘request quote’ section in case your main goal was to market your services. " Require Quote" is an awful way to get a request. People purchasing a service won’t reply to something so impersonal to be a form. Always make your own email and number (address, too, in case you can) available on your site.

Screwing Around #3

it persists…. simple, elegent, very simple veiw fastened image. Truthfully… I think it’s brilliant!! Seriously.. its a wonderful example of congratulations minimalst design. Providing your content won’t suffer by being cramped in this small space I think it is a fantastic portfolio web-site.. Especially if it truely reflects ones design style. It is suprising how sometimes a nicely designed minimilst system can speak more louder about you than most of the most elaborate patterns. It would be nice if you used some form of proper bullets points such the normal circle/disc type or create your to add a far more stylistic touch. The alternating white/grey border looks slightly strange, and the typography of the main heading slightly sterlie and dreary. See where you are able to take this design what relating to this Personally, I’d add a few more pixels regarding space between a person’s list items, although other then which, it’s slick.; -) identical theme, different notion. I prefered the prior pocket-sized design, there’re a few alignment issues which bug me some why don’t you consider this version. What’s the goal of the blue bar running over the top.

small thumbnails to larger images on the same page??

I’m currently doing (yet another) portfolio web site. My main framework is fairly common— some sort of series (maybe 10-16) involving tiny thumbnails with images is around the left. You rollover one of several small jpgs and also a larger version of seems like on the exact page off on the right. I’ve been trying to figure out how the heck to get this done the most efficient way. I could easily take action in Flash, but am curious about if there’s exactly how since these images are fairly substantial for jpgs. I don’t want to use frames and my CSS is just not great. (I’m fairly beneficial with Dreamweaver and should not code if possible– perhaps there is a behavior (other than the hide/show layers) of which I’m missing in which exists in Dreamweaver MX in this sort of thing) Any one have any tips or can point me with a dummy tutorials Sorry if this is the very stupid concern. : nervous: You shouldn’t use < frames>, but have you thought to use < iframes> Inline Frames Inline Frames are intended for exactly what you’re attempting to do. See this page: http: //www. collaborationgallery. com It is really … Continue reading

A wordpress website designer should focus on which they do most effective. Designing websites. There isn’t a need for an internet designer to learn ruby on track. Lightbox Problem

We’ve started using Lightbox with some sites to provide a slieshow effect but experienced problems. Only put the computer code calling the lightbox script along at the top of your page I at times in IE6 obtain an " functioning aborted" error concept, the computer shows a loud clang and also the page bombs available. This is certainly unacceptable!!: disappointed:: disappointed: To mend this, I moved the code towards bottom of the page much like http: //www. uniquewebsites. company. uk/web-design-portfolio/web-design-portfolio. htm This specific avoids the " functioning aborted" error but – in the event you try to visit an image before the page is thoroughly loaded in ie6, then the lightbox fails and you just obtain blank screen when using the image in the top end left corner. This provides multiple advances over the " functioning aborted" error concept but it’s nevertheless not great. Has anyone else encoutered this concern, and – if so – how managed you fix it Is there almost any better software to choose from for slideshow effects which is free and user-friendly and uncomplicated That’s your strange error… I’ve never encountered that in every the years Lightbox is available.
