Password-protect my whole site.

I want to password-protect the whole site. I’ve got CPanel nonetheless it won’t allow to do the / (public_html) seeing that password-protected. How do you do that: vintage: The best technique I’ve found is to use a mix of a single server-side include along with a session variable, i always tie into the unique identifier on the database. The pseudo-code would be something like this kind of: — Site determines session variable to check out if user can be logged in. — in the event user is logged with, he/she can log onto the site — if user is not logged in, he/she is redirected into a login page — if customer attempts to sign in and match is found in database, unique identifier is retrieved and composed to session variable Certainly, the exact syntax will depend on your programming dialect, but you have the idea. Uhm yes! But i’m not thinking about doing a entire PHP programming just for this. Can’t this be done which has a single. htaccess report i have got never used the. htaccess file but i assume it could, and there may be a tool above each of the forums to produce one. yep saw … Continue reading

Selective Dynamic Areas

Generally what I can do is to possess a user select a method on a internet page, and when these people hit the all right button, it will invigorate selective areas while in the page, yet not refresh the whole page. Virtually any suggestions javascript using. innerHTML Umm.. I suck in JS so I can’t tell you exactly haha Can’t you need to do it with iframes or even something Yep, in the same manner as you would exercise with a natural frame: < iframe src =" /page. php" > < /iframe> Just add the attributes you need to the < iframe> tag. I scrapped the actual frames idea and went together with a single page that can just refresh once more. It’s for your menu, that if you select from the dropdown menu as well as hit enter, it refreshes an entire page (which might be a small section in the primary page) and will take the name belonging to the value you chose from the dropdown, prints them statically, then creates a brand new dropdown based upon the very first value chosen. Does this a couple of times within the cells of any table, all wrapped in just … Continue reading

Uploading a Site

Heya, I’m looking for my site to help load up properly over the internet. I’m using dreamweaver, that will connect and include files to our host, but cannot have the homepage to display, only a listing in the files. I have a feeling this can be a simple fix, however. any help look into the site at internet. tagish-engineering. com click skeleton. htm to view the web-site. serenity The homepage should be named index. html or index. htm. These two file names are just what exactly most servers look for to display whenever a directory is known as upon. Yep, as a default, ensure you have an list. html or catalog. htm file. WE second his idea. index. php will in addition suffice. Li Brad List. php will only work on a server along with PHP enabled. In case you are not using PHP, I might use index. html. Worked like a charm. Thanks guys. the website is up these days, www. tagish-engineering. com.

It’s a little bit washed out and plain at this time. Yep, which is my problem. The splash page is quite good, but the key looks out of color and as you said washed out. Can you males give me ideas steps to make it more coluorful Site down at this time It can’t be down, maybe there isn’t access to the idea. I guess I am going to attach them here. No concerns, it is being employed again now. I’ll post an overview in 30 moments or so. Pretty good, but you may possibly do with some increased colour within the splash. Using some pleasant quality JPEGs in the surrounding area would clean up the site, and introducing some blues and green vegitables would allow for an assortment of shades and suggestions also. The splash page is pretty nice because you have a nice variety of colours included in the photos and the map and the like, however the main site is very plain, lacks colour and lacks variety. It’s … Continue reading

Can’t Decide

All right, so help me discover which layout to travel with. I’m creating a photographer’s site, and I need to know whether the header items ought to be placed inside the width of the image, or in the garden. The image inside center will become a slider, and really should be the focus from the page. With that icons inside, the page feels a bit small at 800px huge. With them outside the house, making the page 960px-ish, I’m not sure it looks appropriate. Discover below for illustrations. Inside: Outside: I’m keen on it with the logo in the wrapper. looks additional organised i find. You could include a margin-top with about 10 or 15px therefore it brings the emblem down abit.. at this point it looks abit far up on the top. Inside, and make that photos larger (960 pixels wide). Yep! Is 960px an ordinary or something It keeps approaching yea for wrapper sizes 960px or 1000px are good to use because it means websites can be shown clearly on netbooks and some tablets. The majority of computer screens are generally 1024px or larger. 960px allows for browser UI and some breathing room on either side in the … Continue reading
