Navigation help… Links galore!

Hi folks, This probably will prove to be a cold article, but I am thinking of getting some constructive feedback with a draft navigation system geared for this personal/professional website. And this I have a long way: As an alternative to the above navigation system, I was also contemplating having four most important links: Those four is a visible main hyperlinks, and the rest is hidden via some sort of dropdown and/or Flash-based routing… Anyhow, please feel zero cost to comment/suggest/critisize this above mock course-plotting… I am furthermore contemplating having sub-links for my portfolio segment too… What are peoples thoughts regarding one-word links compared to multi-word links… example: Impress Design vs Print Sonic Comps or Audio And so on… Thanks beforehand, cheers! < /m> Not a bad idea, but unless you’ve got a huge amount of stuff for each category, you will find that there defintely won’t be much content within the page. Perhaps splitting a person’s categories up directly into smaller sections in lieu of having 10 inside the portfolio, have between one and four. Once you have a large amount of stuff within these sub-categories, then it is best to expand. Just this view anyhow. I’d personally have … Continue reading

CSS Advantange (See screenshot) I decided to create a WP structure. I don’t desire to change the HTML, just the CSS. No looking at source. Instant visual changes. The perfect CSS manager. There is my reason, let us hear yours. ONLY TWO. Tabbed Browsing MY SPOUSE AND I absolutely love this kind of function, allowing me have many tabs open from the one browser the idea looks much purifier, as well because the ability to combination refer pages quickly and never having to look through your grouped icons to the start-bar. Very Small difference when viewed in IE opposed to other browsers

If u have an alternative web browser for instance firefox or netscape check out this layout throughout both http: //www. satelliteonline. pwp. blueyonder. co. uk/ i recognize its only pretty minor, and when i shouldn’t even be troubled, but its pestering me. Look with the div, it seems smaller in internet explorer than it will in the various other browsers. The scroll bar doesn’t increase to the image if u know spinning program so well. is this curable as well as is it a kind of things that u must live with along with would take a little fiddling around to get right As much as I can understand from your message (without checking it in Firefox or maybe Mozilla as I do not have the browsers at my current location), it seems which the problem you include having is something related to the way of which other browsers render borders and extra padding. Not sure if it something that you can fix, though hoepfully someone else are able to throw a little more light on the topic than me as I are deprived of the tools at the moment. Only am wrong, then I apologise! To begin with, I … Continue reading

First on the Web

Hi, I became wondering when was the world wide web introduced to people Since I’m just 15, I never remember when that actually happened. As well, what was the best website, and who claimed to generate the internet, whether it be an organization or an individual Thanks for the feedback! Al Gore somehow claims he invented the net but I don’t see how in which works. Tim Berners Lee acquired a lot related to it. See http: //www. moment. com/time/time100/scientist/profile/bernerslee. html Sean The ‘internet’ began within the 1970s didn’t the idea The infrastructure that became the net was earlier than that… the HTML PAGE concept came much much later. Found an affiliate site here… rather dry/academic but has a lot of the salient points! http: //www. isoc. org/internet/history/brief. shtml Sean somewhat off topic, but not really. There’s a site that enables you to look back within time- like an internet time machine. look it over. tom Indeed, archive. org is totally mindblowing! Such thinggs as September 11th… it has an awesome catalogue now there of news reports in the day… might seem using some ways grotesque, but it is " dwelling history"… … and visit sites which have been now … Continue reading

Back to the drawingboard…

Fine, after seeing CSSZenGarden, We are humbled, and once reading Glyak’s CSS part one Tutorial, I decided to start screwing around which has a simple css layout. I immediately make a roadblock — Suprise! – coping with i. e. MY SPOUSE AND I created three instructional classes – a header, major, and menu. I positioned them according to the math with Glyak’s awesome short training, and tada! achievements in Firefox. Inside i. e., not so much. Seems to do using the padding, as when i remove it, Firefox as well as i. e. show similar thing. here’s several linkage. Extra padding on… Code: . head position: absolute; leading: 15px; left: 15px; width: 700px; height: 100px; background-color: #000000; extra padding: 5px; color: #FFEEDD . selection position: absolute; leading: 125px; left: 15px; width: 200px; height: 700px; background-color: #123456; extra padding: 5px; . main location: absolute; top: 125px; left: 225px; width: 490; levels: 565; padding: 5px; background-color: #556677; Padding away… Code: . head position: absolute; leading: 15px; left: 15px; width: 700px; height: 100px; background-color: #000000; /*padding: 5px; */ colouring: #FFEEDD . menu location: absolute; top: 125px; left: 15px; width: 200px; levels: 700px; background-color: #123456; /*padding: 5px; */ . major position: absolute; leading: 125px; … Continue reading

Bloggy annoying problem with my Blog…

I’m working with a few problems together with my blog. We have checked the Web site documentation and Googled with regard to possible causes anwsers but never find any. If you take a glance in an effort to the first posting looks normal though the post below it really is missing the time frame, and is bolded like all the other posts. Every post should appear to be the first post, but they never. If i remove duplicate content the newest submit then everything goes back to normal, but then if I add an innovative post everything gets reformated again. This specific has happend in advance of but fixed alone. Now it’s going on again and I can’t remedy it because I don’t know what’s causing the matter so I can’t remedy it. Has anyone else had a similar thing happen to help them and/or know how to fix it This can be _REALLY_ annoying… Many thanks Heres a screenshot of one’s blog using firefox. Are you using CSS to position the objects to the page Some headers will be overlapping… Yeah thanks I understand about that but dont value it atm coz them doesnt work in IE (which is … Continue reading

RSS intergration with IE?

Can be their a wordpress extension for RSS bottles for IE That browsers support RSS Does one think IE will probably support RSS of their next browser WHEN I use firefox, but if i want to integrate a Rss feed into my site, my IE visitors wont be capable to use the attribute. Which sucks. Hence is their a new plugin for IE gives thanks! You never know with MICROSOFT, but if they actually I’d guess also they’d make their unique version of the idea, or give this some flashy label, if at most of. I believe, I use Bloglines. com for my Rss feed, as does Brak. 100+ websites in my record, and I can certainly access/edit/update them from any web browser, regardless of where I am. RSS wasn’t really for the purpose of browsers, it’s more of an easy way that Firefox adaptable the technology. Many people using RSS employ aggregators (like bloglines). These are great, and seeing that Wired said : non browser established. And non-PC established! Having access to it from at any place is great!
