form verify
what would be your best way of verifying whether a user has filled in every the fields of your form… javascript or another script.. Appears like a very uncomplicated javascript function. Let me know if you want assistance with this. yer in the event you wouldnt mind nocloset Within your < form> tag, include an onsubmit attribute like this: < variety onsubmit=" return validate(this); " > Then you’ll want to write a verify function. The exact written content depends on what kind of validation you wish to perform, but here’s a good example that assumes you have a < input type=" text" name=" mytextbox" > somewhere within your form: perform validate(myform) in the event (myform. mytextbox. value == " " ) notify (" You must add a value with regard to mytextbox. " ); returning false; returning true; If you want something more stylish than this, maybe you can work together by email. Let me personally know. just say we have these fields throughout my form name email telephone responses may wanna add: mytextbox. focus(); once alert. only small change.

XML question
Hey I’m posting here for once with a problem regarding an XML definition i need for a college course. Generally, i just needed a specific definition for what " well made document" is with regards to XML syntax. Easily need to small my question down any, then merely say so. And also, just link my home to EarthwormJim’s line.: cheeky: Handful of pointers from online world. w3schools. com which tell you what should be done to produce a document well-formed: – XML elements have to be properly nested – All XML documents need to have a root element – Attribute values should always be quoted – Tag names have to be in lowercase – All XML elements have to be closed Reviews and corrections welcome XML element could be closed on the same line: Code: < feature /> Well formed doesn’t mean legible. Data structures spanning 2 heirarchical levels own issues: Code: < stuff> < home> < kitchen> < cell phone /> < /kitchen> < /home> < car> < cell phone /> < /car> < /stuff> Phone presents some an issue. you two from the same class http: //www. webdesignforums. net/thread11252. html code ASCII have to be specified with entities; … Continue reading

thin lines
might anyone tell me the right way to achieve fine lines round the cells for model, they used small lines (blue plus white ones) around the first page with www. rmw. com thanks! Well you have available a image which includes a line drawn upon it Or you may earn a 1×1 pixel image in whatever coloring, make it the bg of your respective cell, then insert it in the cell and create the cell height/width 0. This will create the cell shrink for the 1 pixel line that you might want In dreamweaver pick the cell when using the arrow, and in that case color the border. It’s about the thickness ones lines. Sure liek Will explained, you can make the border dimension 1 and whichever color, just depends on what you look for to do MY SPOUSE AND I guess Whatever you choose with a border prefer that, use this computer code: < family table > < tr> < td> Whichever… \… Whatever< /td> < /tr> < /table> I’m almost positive that the majority of HTML entities can use the style attribute, and the CSS regarding borders. Use a form sheet code similar to this coded in the … Continue reading

Centering a div, sans tables
So how exactly does one center any div, without making use of tables I’m absolutely lost here. Thanks for virtually every help. Code: … < head> < style type=" text/css" media=" screen" > html code, body text-align: middle; #centre width: 760px; text-align: left; margin: 0 automobile; < /style> < /head>… Code: < div id=" centre" > This block element is going to be centred in the actual browser window. < /div> The < DIV> tag is similar to < P> tag. Just set this attribute ALIGN=" center" as well as you’re on. Code: < div align=" center" > this text stands in the centre. < /div> Even so, that’s not W3C good.. Ok, I’ve tried every one of those things, but I didn’t make use of the margin: 0 automobile; line. That won’t affect the centering have to it Code: body text-align: middle; background-color: #2C4762; font-family: verdana, arial; font-size:. 8em; . major width: 900px; levels: 100%; border-width: 1px; border-color: #546A80; border-style: strong; background-image: url(.. /images/sky. jpg); background-repeat: no-repeat; backroud-color: #2C4762; Subject to the code, it could possibly. More so around other resolutions. Give it any shot at anything better or scaled-down then what you’re running right now. Yes and also, … Continue reading
netscape 6.1 background-image problems
Hi y’all. Ive been trying to figure this out but have appear short, so I thought I’d personally throw it out into the community. My business is having a problem displaying some pages in netscape SIX. 1 browser. With some pages, where I have a background-image=" somepic. jpg" throughout my. css track, the image shows throughout my page. While this is actually all well along with good, I don’t want the photograph displayed in the table making the text difficult that will read, so WHEN I assigned a bgcolor=" ffffff" for my table. Occasionally the page parses good, but when I head to the secure document page, the bgcolor attribute would not get parsed. If i click on another page (non-secure) the challenge persists. However, if i go to any 3rd page, the page displays properly. I’m not coding anything different within the pages that obtain parsed correctly and the ones that dont. This particular only happens within netscape 6. 1 (the oldest version of netscape I have loaded) but works fine in all other browsers. Has anyone in addition experienced this Of course , if so, is generally there a fix. I do think its a netscape web browser … Continue reading

RSS intergration with IE?
Can be their a wordpress extension for RSS bottles for IE That browsers support RSS Does one think IE will probably support RSS of their next browser WHEN I use firefox, but if i want to integrate a Rss feed into my site, my IE visitors wont be capable to use the attribute. Which sucks. Hence is their a new plugin for IE gives thanks! You never know with MICROSOFT, but if they actually I’d guess also they’d make their unique version of the idea, or give this some flashy label, if at most of. I believe, I use Bloglines. com for my Rss feed, as does Brak. 100+ websites in my record, and I can certainly access/edit/update them from any web browser, regardless of where I am. RSS wasn’t really for the purpose of browsers, it’s more of an easy way that Firefox adaptable the technology. Many people using RSS employ aggregators (like bloglines). These are great, and seeing that Wired said : non browser established. And non-PC established! Having access to it from at any place is great!

a question about Flash maintenance
I have been previously to at least twelve Flash designers’ website and in addition they all roughly say exactly the same thing.. WHY do Pen designers charge hence for doing Thumb maintenance/updating Is it a result of complexity of this Actionscript and animations For my current client a common thing I’m accomplishing is swapping a photo every month, and he quite simply wants the intro cartoon and actionscript functions to remain seated the same. To my opinion, I think it will be the Actionscript linked to every part on the Flash file, along with the time it would choose to use learn the actionscript enough in making changes to the item (my perspective, since My organization is only a beginner/intermediate Actionscript coder). HTML and CSS is virtually clear-cut. Change the attribute, save the idea, it instantly changes large of a font for example. Display.. lol Does anyone else agree how the foreseen/unforeseen complexity of Flash files bring on a higher charge How usually high That’s a professional web developers salary (assuming they’re freelance) Additionally, if a pen file is coded properly, it can always be managed with XML, thus a CMS and be as quick to update while this forum.

Need To Populate Field Upon Tab
Anyone know of a script I could install that would allow the person to do this: Type information in a text field of the form near the very best of a page that might upon tabbing towards the next field, put the information anyone just entered suitable field at the bottom of the internet page. This is very useful with an interactive interview script My business is building. The information entered in the interview would immediately show up at the bottom of the page for the interviewer to refer to and never having to page back as long as where it was originally entered. (It is a long interview. ) I have searched around a great deal of java scripts as well as find nothing. Sure would understand hearing from anyone which has or anyone that wishes to get paid to create one. Thank you, Robert Well, that shouldn’t be too difficult in any respect. Assuming you have two textareas, set ids on both ones: Code: < textarea id=" field1" > < /textarea> This is to be able to refer to these individuals separately through JavaScript. After that, you can utilize the onblur’ attribute of the textarea element to make … Continue reading
