Drop Down Design

We have spent countless hours trying to design my private drop down kind list for this PHP/MySQL site (ie. report on states). I wish to control Color, Boundary, Arrow Shape, Shading and Animation in the drop. I feel not using WYSIWYG. To stray in the default form < select> box thing that displays over a browser, you’ll need to use some kind of a mix connected with Javascripting, CSS, in addition to PHP. Case in point, this is a single where it uses the browser pick boxes, but generates them in the different fashion: http: //php-ajax-code. blogspot. com/2007/07/ajax-triple-dropdown-with-states-cities. html Another example, where the drop-down is stylized: http: //dhtmljavascriptmenu. com/how-to/how-to-add-drop-down-menus-using-ajax. html Because we can’t see your site (no URL provided) and we have no clue of how it should certainly look… I’m just gonna tell you to look for Google. I understand nobody can observe my site since it only lives within MAMP on my own Mac. That first link is a great example the hideous standard version appearance; however, the second link shows steps to make a navigation press button. I’ve searched google and w3c but experienced the same outcomes; plenty of types of the standard variety drop list and … Continue reading

New to dreamweaver/php etc – PLEASE HELP!!!

GREETINGS there, Our company hired a Third party to develop some of our website. they have handed it to us to manage and I’d like to see to make quite a few changes. I’ve got all the files from them and associated with the host equipment through dreamweaver. I thought dreamweaver appeared to be a WYSIWYG use but all We can see is the. php. tpl. css files in code perspective only. How could WE see them inside design view to ensure me to alter things without as being a coding expert Thank you! You can’t unless you have an precise server with Apache plus PHP, etc. So you’ll need to know what method they used (Drupal, Joomla, WordPress). After that, manually make changes employing a text editor, either one that is with Dreamweaver and also Notepad, or Notepad++. But if you say " produce changes", do you mean to how pages look, or that content itself Which includes a CMS (content supervision system), the content is controlled through a web admin page. That’s the whole point of by using a CMS. Therefore describe what an individual mean by " produce changes". Yep, I want for making changes to appear … Continue reading

spry Menu Bar – not displaying correctly in IE

We’ve an issue which has a a spry drop-down menus bar. It should resemble this: http: //i303. photobucket. com/albums/nn134/mr-skill/Picture23. png In Firefox & Safari it appears to be fine but in IE appears this: http: //i303. photobucket. com/albums/nn134/mr-skill/Picture24. png If it arrived on the scene like that within Firefox I’d think it was because the div that contain the spry club was too small but that isn’t the case – can be seen the yellow outline with the div in the primary pic, and it’s bigger as opposed to spry element. Every ideas Usually ie6 or SEVERAL or both It’s usually margin and/or foam with ie6 and perhaps sometimes 7. DW does a okay job making those spry menus work in everything, until you mess with all the css. Have you experimented with making the div a bit wider Start having 20px wider first. If that maintenance tasks it, then it is a width problem. Hopefully you can also make it wider without messing up your layout. Otherwise, you may have to have a ie mend. When the site is dwell, can you place a link so I could tinker around for it That gave me the clue POST needed, … Continue reading
