Website Question – Selling Items
Hello There, We’ve a question as my mate wants to find a website. He wants to market books/CDs from a firm that import them to the country (as many authors/artists only sell in the states and he lives inside the UK). What factors must we take into consideration, before designing a site that allows this The very first few things which spring to mind are: * Linking towards the importers database, to have the products to market. * Buying numerous stock to sell off. * How you can process payment techniques (such as credit history cards). * The particular designing and marketing on the website. Any thoughts/suggestions regarding the steps to take as a way to sell CDs/Books coming from a distributor would become appreciated. Style Regards, Research the credit card merchant first. Find out who in britain accepts credit handmade cards online and connects for a bank. An example of how which works… see internet. authorize. net They’ve got good graphics as well as explanations of the way CC is handled on the web site. Pay attention to AIM and SIM… one requires any secure server along with the other isn’t going to. They explain the 2 different methods. … Continue reading

The way is everyone doing Formerly suffering with tinnitus searching the internet long now and can’t seem to get the answer I’m looking for and am wishing someone here are able to assist me. I’ve inherited the form responsibilities for a new not for profit organization which is great, but MY PARTNER AND I do have you problem. There is a new members section on the website which has any login section which seems to work OK. The only issue I’m facing now, is that this registration portion is just not working, and by i mean it’s not emailing the information that the user wants ie.. username/password to my opinion. The program showcased in Spooky Login which looks like it’s great but it’s an older version and you can not seem to invest in it anymore. I was wondering if there seems to be anything that a person could recommend around it’s place. I’ve been goofing with the settings and nothing seems to operate. Now one thing that might be nice to stay is that it lets you do use a data source (. ASP) dependent, so if there was clearly another program that may incorporate that that could help. … Continue reading
Setting up a mysql database
Thus recently I decided I’d use a go at blogging, and decided wordpress is good seeing as how I take pleasure in designing with CSS. Then again, as this is simply a practice web log I intend on utilizing a free webhost (I really don’t mind the website being www. something. myname. com). even so the issue I found was when using the 5 minute assembly… My webhost isn’t going to provide any facilities in making databases, and all the things listed on the particular wordpress website involve being the master of the server thereby being able to setup software to produce the database. In this rate, seems like impossible to me that folks can set way up wordpress blogs in free webhosts. Regardless, my query (so in order to speak) is simply how to set up a new database on my freehost Possibly there is any simple software package that would allow me to set up a new database on my computer, and then upload it that will my host plus btw, I’m completely prepared compromise on wordpress and my service provider – really all I would like is a blog CMS, that will permit me to produce the … Continue reading

We’ve done numerous blogger sites. I only started www. condosinfocenter. com and that custom structure for any permalink does not sound like working. I use /%category%/%postname%/ and when you click to the post it says so it cannot be found to the server. Did you generate those posts (entries) some time ago, and then thought i would change how the particular directory structure can be done Instance, you made several posts, then messed close to with permalink adjustments: If you ever did that, it can not go backside and fix the previous posts. Try adding a few new posts and find out if those work (then erase the old ones). It’s doing the identical on new types. I think WHEN I set the permalink from the beginning. It looks like it is looking in the right place, but the post is not really there. I am confused though. It’s doing the identical on new types. I think WHEN I set the permalink from the beginning. Rookie question from a (less than) rookie designer (MySQL, APACHE, PHP)
Just found a book upon MySQL, APACHE and PHP and it may not be really clear to the relationship among the three. I’m considering designing a data source driven web-site and I feel that I have a decent handle on the MySQL and PHP will be but I’m not really sure if We would like to install APACHE at my PC. Right now, I’m trying to get up and running with MySQL in addition to PHP so I could use the book to undertake the exercises plus learn the requires. I obtain the feeling that APACHE is not required for this which the future coordinator of my web-site will give you that functionality. Is niagra correct or ‘m I way away from Also, can WE play around with MySQL and PHP devoid of APACHE installed on my PC. Any help is going to be appreciated. Thanks. Apache is a server you’ll be able to install on your own pc. If you wish to test php webpages locally, then you require apache, or some other down loadable device, but Apache is the standard and most trustworthy. So to do testing on your own machine, then it is advisable to install Apache, … Continue reading

What I’d love to build is a site a lot like this one. http: //www. thefatlute. com I think a niche site like this would be great practice, pretty simple design in addition to incorporates a data source. Can anyone tell me the most effective way to start something like this Actually if any person could help us out with making a basic database along with being able to raise it and question it using the html or php page I believe I could figure the rest out with sample and error. Looks like some sort of ASP scripting… some sort of CMS of several kind. Consequently, their site is actually ASP. net scripting probably with a Windows Server. To build something like that from scratch would have been a tremendous project. Google has a pile of tutorials for MySQL as well as PHP together. Good luck… you’ll be hectic for months. Database of music
My organization is currently working over a DJ’s website. He wants to have a listing of music available on the site, is there a way to take an shine in life spreadsheet and create a searchable and scrollable report on music in his collection We were thinking it might be able to be done through php. I’ll describe the method, but getting there is certainly another story. 1) He by now has an excel spreadsheet with all the list that comprises of, 7steps, artist, album, yr, keywords, description, plus any codes that identify the album. 2) The stand out file gets saved being a. csv (Comma Seperated Variable) style file. scenario… 3) About the webhost, a MySQL data source is created that can contain all melodies. 4) Its own PHP script manufactured that takes that. csv file and populates the data source. That is only used Once… to get the excel data in to the online MySQL data source. 5) An PHP admin page is manufactured so any future songs is usually uploaded to the database, extra, deleted, edited, and so forth. 6) A PHP script that accesses the internets database and exhibits information. Demonstrates by querying that database, searches, … Continue reading
