farm website- need server-side advice

Circle Right Farm is a farm that provides a vegetable subscription service ( aka CSA). We currently employ a website (roundrightfarm. com) that is mostly informational. I’d like to add several server side capabilities but don’t have any knowledge of sever-side ‘languages’. I only know html/css plus a wee bit connected with javascript. our subscription assistance currently works this way: customers sign upwards and pay at the start of the time (before June ) as well as a box of produce is fed to a location close to them where they pick it up once a week in the harvest season (june-september). Right now, the contents from the box are the identical for every customer and they are chosen by the farm influenced by what is inside season and available. I want to provide the customer much more choice by allowing them to check out online what the common box will become that week in order to give them the possibility to make generate substitutions based on a list of what is available and also to give them the option to purchase extra items that week. This can involve several features: an easy way to do to update your website … Continue reading

New here – and in need!

Hello, I maintain a web site site for any local not-for-profit and you’ll find a problem by using one page we cannot seem to mend. The page will likely be maintained in dreamweaver (not guaranteed if that matters) and is particularly primarily composed making use of one big desk with smaller tables inside that. Until recently, that’s worked really well to hold everything where it ought to be. However, we now are experiencing issues with blocks of text overlapping so every little thing seems squished all the way through, and is unreadable. As the same page has been in use for many years, I’ve experimented with scrapping it along with starting over, reducing may be tables used, but it’s actually not improved. Has anyone else experienced this challenge Is there your fix Oh – page isn’t going to have this display issue for anyone — only with some monitors. I have tried it at 4 different screens (3 pc, one mac) and only find the problem on 1 from the 4. Really interested in a solution. this page may be the money maker to the organization. Thanks a ton! A handful of things: stay faraway from tables. go to DIVs … Continue reading

Ones help is significantly appreciated!! Are you able to hand code and design Spinning program so well is, do you know HTML, CSS etc and do you really need Photoshop The beauty regarding hand coding and also designing is that one could get exactly what you look for, and you receive more satisfaction, understanding that you did it all, not that you may got a template that someone else did. So I would likely strongly suggest you diy, however if there isn’t the time or the skill-sets, then check away a google look for, that might take you started: http: //www. yahoo. com/searchq=web+templates Thanks for that reply.. Newbie looking for advice

All right, I am looking to learn how to make my own website page. I learned plus was using Time period Web but it’s leaving plenty to be wanted. So, I picked up Web Designer’s Reference by Craig Grannell. It had been billed as some sort of " Integrated Method to Web Design along with XHTML and CSS. " It appears as though a pretty very good start but I want a better concept of where to move from here. The main questions are usually… YOU. Is just learning XHTML ok or do i have to/should I learn HTML also or instead regarding XHTML COUPLE OF. Should I obtain a book dedicated soley to CSS It appears as though there’s a whole lot more to learn so far as how to apply it. THREE OR MORE. Can anyone recommend the proper job books for learning any of these things or can one get away with just using no cost tutorials online Thanks in advance for the assistance. HTML will always be more lax around its syntactic principles (closing tags, such as, are not strictly required a lot of the … Continue reading

It is approximately the History regarding Technology and the best way trends developed to create more technology. I would like it to appear to be a book, where it opens up as a book, but actaully upon web, using html and css. Concerning thought about applying Flash, but I read article that flash tend to make it look problematic to silver surferes, I want comments on the menu in the top, I get created a prototype utilizing Power point 07. There are usually some mootools, jsquery form of animations for web sites. Like that: http: //www. sitepoint. com/examples/jquery/animate4. php There exists a problem with doing such as that… It’s not necessary to want your pages to get just images. You choose actual text content material. Using graphic images for ones text causes search results problems. Thus, I would say don’t use anything that requires that kind of coding, as a substitute, go for a new plain website having " prev" " next" web site navigation. Create a fine background template which they can use for each internet … Continue reading

What is diffrence between table and div desing?

Hi there, I’m totaly brand new at div & css design and style, so please say to me why the first is better from a further This dates back to the original browsers plus the beginning of CODE… < table> was originally designed to display " tabular" facts. Such as a list of things from a database, possibly your calendar (with solar cells horizontal and vertical), and displays and information who have a " grid" or perhaps " list" like layout. As web sites became more intricate and stylish, folks started using tables to position areas of content. The layout was no longer " tabular", women and men use associated with tables allowed folks to section-off locations and images. CSS (cascade model sheets) came down and offered a wider variety of layout methods. The < div> has been a " division" or section of content and could be placed anywhere you want to. It can end up being selectively styled (fonts, backdrop, colors, padding, etc). CSS may also be stored in any. css file, and referenced on just about every page. That means every page on the website can make use of the same CSS document. If you adjust one … Continue reading
