That said on one of many users Mac products on Internet explorer in addition , it looks like picture 1. I have likewise opened some ftp sites on Internet explorer and yes it looks like photo 1. So what dictates how a FTP site looks and just how do this be tailored An FTP is merely a directory listing, the appearance is dictated through the client you’re utilizing. You’ll notice that will ALL FTP sites look identical in a unique client. Hi, thanks for ones reply, is it possible to please tell me what you necessarily mean by client. Does one mean the web browser used to show the FTP folder articles Yes, client would have been a program or visitor… anything that might access FTP. Where I know you cannot change the look on the specific FTP, you are able to just set filters against your client’s side, next to nothing server side. The way strange. The FTP site seems like the contents of your … Continue reading

Then I go Microsoft Internet Explorer in addition to type: http: //localhost/2monkey/home. htm Now on this old server (I must uninstall my previous edition of Abyss and re-install) this will have worked, but with this one, I find page not identified. Looking at in Explorer it all looks fine, however in Netscape there is a large space around the bottom, which is the same as the space the entire rolling text derives passion for had it also been static text. Can anyone make sure you help me keeping this Im obviously carrying out something wrong inside the coding of this particular scrolling text. Your URL is http: //www. relocationenterprises. com/index5. htm Understand all help!: typical: Sturle Well.. I just looked at it in Netscape also it looks fine… In Firefox. at least, there is a massive blank space following your content. Yes, thats exactly the matter. Any advise looks like it’s the " direction=’up’" part but I don’t understand how to work around this… Are you when using the marquee tag If so, it will definitely not work in Netscape… this tag has been created by Ms for Internet Explorer and also has never been part of HTML per se. Help!!!! MAC is ruining my life!!!
All right, seriously, I hear MAC is best for Web Style and design, but every program I familiar with use on my PC is only for windows… I just now got a apple computer, and I have no idea what programs I am suposted to utilize. Does anyone other than them have MAC that will tell me things to get I helpful to use Notepad in addition to Crimson Editor, and neither FTP Pro or 3D-FTP will continue to work on this technique either. I am gonna have to know Dreamweaver eventually, but I prefer to never use it right this moment, only one major change during a period is all I’ll handle…. I am guessing there have to be some basic courses on here that will do just as well, but I was so un-MAC savvy i always don’t even know where to check…. So if anyone might help I would be most grateful!!!: stressed: Macs are by no means better for web page design, mainly because the extreme vast majority of web consumers browse on Home windows. Macs are customarily better for screen-print media design due to their more accurate colouring gamuts and famous publishing software. Need to … Continue reading

Making My Web Site Accessible to Both PC and Mac Users
Hello. I ‘m a brand new member of this kind of forum so eliminate me if this question had been posted. Recently i created a personal Web page (very barebones… many text, no graphics as well as other bells and whistles) with a PC with Your windows program XP using WYSIWYG HTML PAGE software. Mac users who visit the site with Internet Explorer view only gibberish, and Mac consumers with Netscape see the best text, but not all of it is properly formatted and it may not be in the unique fonts. Perhaps there is a fairly simple way to correct these problems I’m the 1st to admit of which my HTML coding knowledge are minimal, but surely that is a common problem. Bless you! Paul Engstrom pauleearthlink. web If you allow us a connection to the site in question we can better make it easier to. If you ever go here http: //validator. w3. org/ and obtain the page validated you possibly can fix any mistakes inside code that could be screwing up the site. Thanks for the reply and useful resource. My Web correct is www. paul-engstrom. com … I checked the code while in the head and … Continue reading
Creating Scrollbars?
How do i create scrollbars inside the cell of some sort of table in Dreamweaver (HTML) (If important, the more standard question would be how do i create scrollbars) Is there any way to change the look of scrollbars So by way of example, if I design a site that’s primarily red-colored, can I change the design to match the red color structure Last but not least, if I wish to make " custom" scrollbars like the ones on this url… (sorry, this was a common reference that I could think of for what I’m chatting about) internet. greenday. com … would I must use flash Thanks to your help!!! Of the best ways to have normal windows scroll bars is to use either a new iFrame, or a DIV while using overflow property arranged to ‘scroll’. It is possible to change the colour off the bars using CSS, yet this only succeeds in Internet Explorer, Firefox just simply ignores the CSS and also displays in standard colours. You can even make scrolling DIVs utilizing some clever JavaScript, though it may not be easy. visit this web site: http: //www. dyn-web. com Provides a free script which may help. I’ve … Continue reading

chmod
A SINGLE. is there almost every other way to CHMOD a file besides thru an ftp program on windows. 3. why is which i can not upload a file to help my localhost through an ftp system. The response we get is " Gain access to denied" or " Include failed". A SINGLE. Nope, CHMOD is completed through FTP commands (you will use Internet Explorer for you to FTP mind you… ) 3. CHMOD issue in all likelihood. You can install Cygwin… that provides you, effectively, a new Unix-esque shell around Windows. http: //www. cygwin. com/ Sean.
