Add a 1 pixel solid border to certain table or a part of a table.
Hello there. I will be using FrontPage for web page design. I used to include 1 pixel, solid borders to certain table not all tables on the page or or parts of tables using FrontPage, nevertheless noticed that these kind of borders are only visible in Net Exlporer, while in other browser for instance Opera or Mozilla an individual wouldnt see all those borders. My question is how can i add cross-browser kitchen table borders so that it could be seen in all browsers or at the least in many I guess it can be done through css script, but I guess there might be easier way. Any suggestion will probably be appreciated. Regards. Code: <! DOCTYPE web coding PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML JUST ONE. 0 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd" > < web coding xmlns=" http: //www. w3. org/1999/xhtml" > < head> < title> CSS Border< /title> < model type=" text/css" media=" screen" > . line, td border: 1px sturdy #000; border-collapse: fall; < /style> < /head> < body> < family table width=" 750" cellpadding=" 0" cellspacing=" 0" border=" 0" class=" border" > < tr> < td width=" 375" height=" 550" > blah< /td> < td width=" … Continue reading

Thing is the item works great within mozilla you can you’ll find the site there to observe what its designed to look like. Ive also examined it in opera nevertheless thats not such a bit issue as its a smallish used browser. Thank you. world wide web. onetouch. mypfc. com Do you think you’re using any paddings or perhaps margin settings within your css IE milkbones them differently as compared to mozilla. Where to find old browsers to test sites?
Hi there, I’m seeking to amass a group of older browsers (not ancient, but such things as IE 5. SOME, IE 5. 0, NS FOUR, etc. ), to get website testing needs. This is demonstrating harder than I’d personally have expected. Does anyone know on the good site to look for older versions of these (and maybe other) browsers I’d really appreciate the item. Thanks in enhance! Aint tested but download. com I think has older reproductions. To get a truly memorable perusing experience, one have to use Lynx http: //www. delorie. com/web/lynxview. html http: //www. surfers. evolt. org seems to have all the mature versions of netscape, ie, opera and mozilla plus loads of others including macintosh versions.

Multiple browsers for testing
I currently have got Mozilla Firefox and IE installed and also was wondering if it becomes a good idea to setup another browser to test my sites about. Would this conflict when using the other browsers Beware of any major disparities in other browsers than a site optimised with regard to IE and Mozilla Firefox could look different in Opera or Netscape. I’m unsure of any big differences with Opera, nevertheless I’ve seen quite a few minor differences. Mainly it renders just like FF though. You possibly can cancel out the brand new version of Netscape because it steals rendering from whatever other browser you’ve got. If I fitted opera would it conflict with Net explorer or firefox or cause any problems In terms of i know that won’t, I own both installed. I’d also recommend testing on lynx just to see what your webblog will look such as on text-only browsers and search engine optimization spiders. We’ve checked it at lynx, lucky thing MY PARTNER AND I put those wording links on at the end of the page!!! Now just to have my school challenge site partly obeyed I any longer ! do much next time i go back.

one table row doesn’t show up in IE or Opera
I’m designing a site, and everything seems to figureout fine with te exception of a very important factor – I’ve bought a table of which works in Firefox, Netscape, plus Mozilla, but one line disappears in IE and Opera – the actual row with JPGs in the container. Everything else stays identical. I’ve posted the code for this below if any one has any ideas. Some of seems somewhat clumsy and hacked in my opinion, but I just simply did what I really could to get it to seem the way I need to. This is my first attempt at a website, consequently please pardon any kind of inelegant coding, and so forth, and feel free of charge to suggest far better alternatives. Additionally, one other issue. The W3C validator states I can’t use leftmargin, topmargin, etc as found below – is really a challenge, or can WE ignore it < shape bgcolor=" #bcbc85" leftmargin=" 0" topmargin=" 0" marginwidth=" 0" marginheight=" 0" > bless you, Andrew Code: < table border=" 0" cellpadding=" 0" cellspacing=" 0" width=" 100%" > < tr> < td colspan=" 7" > < img src=" beige-bar-2×2. gif" width=" 100%" height=" 15" border=" 0" > < /td> < … Continue reading

What’s Everyone Got Against Tables???
I can remember a while back while i asked what has been so bad regarding using frames, I was given many compelling reasons why they should be avoided. Flash forward many years later and now out of the blue I’m checking out and about the Open Source Web design, and it amounts to just almost every web site is bragging about how exactly they built the full thing without tables. No tables Exactly what is the reasoning behind which The reasons Better alternatives in div’s, spans, absolute positioning, and CSS. Fact is we were holding designed to present tabular data, not tailored for designing websites. However as a developer you should utilize what you look is needed given that your client won’t object. As an illustration I have not used tables within a while, but used these to outputdata retrieved at a database. Hope this helps Most definately helps, thanks. Now all that remains is designed for me to evaluate how those websites practice it with the divs and spans and total positioning and css. absolute positioning will last somewhat abstract layouts. If all you would like is a SEVERAL x 2 box layout, use platforms. It’s basically the suitable … Continue reading
home page doesn’t work in Firefox – what’s going on?
This morning I changed the date on my site, and ftp’d it into the server. When WHEN I opened the updated page in Firefox, all I acquired was gibberish — Chinese or Western characters, and a number of others. The WEB ADDRESS is www. protonfabrication. com, and here’s this strange part – it displays the right way when I’m directed there by the link on yet another page, like the particular portfolio page (www. protonfabrication. com/portfolio-page-1. htm). The particular link takes us to www. protonfabrication. com/index. htm certainly not www. protonfabrication. com whilst they’re the similar page. When WHEN I type www. protonfabrication. com into your search window, WHEN I get gibberish, although add " index chart. htm" and this works. The homepage displays as it should in Mozilla, and also doesn’t in Opera. Clearly, I’m new to the, and any help can be appreciated. Things worked very good until I adjusted the date for the homepage yesterday, and I do not know what I may have done. Any ideas gives thanks, Andrew When you attempt to accessibility a root area (such as space. com), the browser actively seeks index. htm, index chart. html, home. htm, house. htm (default and … Continue reading

New Website on a Mac
Hi. I recently finished redesigning the actual frontpage of our corporate website, but dont get access to a mac. Would likely it be probable for someone to be able to post a screenshot associated with www. inlearning. com. au as seen by the mac on all the usual suspect windows. Thanks beforehand. P. VERTS. If you include any comments aobut the design, please let me know. You will get screen captures on the latest version connected with MacOS running Safari at this page: http: //www. danvine. com/icapture/ I went on and qued it in for you. All you need to do is put in your URL in addition to check the greyish box labled " Get a screenshot taken inside the last 72 hours" Of course this will not take into account any other visitor but safari. I believe that it is safe to state Mac IE is not anymore a factor, but you’ll probably decide to get one among omniweb.. Where I know, firefox must be the same, and also opera, on home windows..
